A tag has been placed on Rajat Bhageria, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. SmartSE (talk) 18:16, 24 August 2018 (UTC)

Hello, SmartSE! Can you please help me understand my mistake? I have made this article from the Requested Articles section. I Google searched the topic, and found sources that seemed relevant to me. But as I read here, there has been previous discussion. I would not want to contest any article's notability that is not in Wikipedia's best interests. Thank you and kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 18:22, 24 August 2018 (UTC).
Hi. Unfortunately being listed in Requested Articles doesn't necessarily mean that a subject is notable, meaning that there are multiple, independent sources, that discuss the subject in depth. There have been three community discussions to decide whether the subject is notable or not. The most recent was Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Rajat_Bhageria_(3rd_nomination) a year ago concluded that he was not notable. While there are some new sources since then: [1] [2] the subject of them is the company, so I still don't think there is enough written about him to justify an article. When community discussions have taken place and decided that an article should be deleted, then if it is recreated, the article can qualify for speedy deletion. Another admin will take a look and decide whether or not it should be deleted or not. SmartSE (talk) 18:36, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
Dear SmartSE, thank you so much for this clarification. I will not make this mistake again, and research the subject across Wikipedia as well before I make any further contributions. Is there anyway I can delete the article myself, as its original creator? Let me know. Spinster300 (talk) 18:57, 24 August 2018 (UTC).

Dear HitroMilanese, thank you so very much for informing me about the discussion. I made the article after seeing a news segment by the subject, but I wasn't able to find other sources online. Hopefully, other editors may have better luck, or else it would be best to delete the article at this time. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 07:17, 27 August 2018 (UTC).

Help me

Hello Wikipedia, I have gotten this message on my Watchlist page: "Two requests for adminship are open for discussion. [dismiss]". May I know what this is about? I have not nominated myself for adminship, nor have I received any notifications that someone else has done so. Do let me know what's going on! Thank you and kind regards. Spinster300 (talk) 16:50, 27 August 2018 (UTC).

Hi Spinster300: Every registered WP user gets those messages; they're designed to encourage you to read the RFA (request for adminship) and vote on whether or not the person should be so elevated. As a new user, it's probably not something you'll initially know enough about to have an opinion on, but it is worth perusing one or two to familiarize yourself with what admins are expected to do/know. Feel free to ping me if you have any other questions — about this or anything else! And welcome to Wikipedia. MeegsC (talk) 17:04, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
Dear MeegsC, thank you so very much for this clarification! In fact, I have been perusing through the Adminship process, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out why I got these messages. Once again, thank you so very much. If you can find the time to answer the question I have posted on my talk page below, that would be absolutely amazing! Thank you for the warm welcome and kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 17:08, 27 August 2018 (UTC).

Draft retraction

Hello again Wikipedia, I wanted to enquire as to whether it is acceptable for me to retract the drafts I made (Draft:Michael Provost, Draft:Hunter Avallone, Draft:Siddharth Menon (actor), and Draft:Dhruv Ganesh) before I was autoconfirmed. Seeing how the Articles for Creation space is heavily backlogged, I would like to proceed adding these articles directly to the mainspace and then await general review from a senior editor. Do let me know if I can proceed with this, I will redirect these draft pages to their corresponding mainspace articles. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 16:59, 27 August 2018 (UTC).

Technically, nobody's stopping you from moving your own drafts to the mainspace but why rush it? 78.28.53.93 (talk) 17:15, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
Dear 78.28.53.93 - I would be lying if I said I wasn't slightly neurotic about them sitting stale for months, given the huge backlog at AfC. I will do as so everyone else advises! :D Spinster300 (talk) 17:24, 27 August 2018 (UTC)

Notice

The article Michael Provost has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:ENT. To meet the notability guidelines there, an actor must have "significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions." While his role in Insatiable seems to qualify (as his character is mentioned in most of the episode summaries), his work in the other two productions does not. The role in Realityhigh does not seem to be a starring role, as none of the sources I've check mention it. (Our article is rather skimpy.) His role in Chance does not merit mention in the article, despite listing 10 main roles and 6 recurring roles.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Speedy deletion nomination of Kristoffer Greaves

Hello Spinster300,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Kristoffer Greaves for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Transwiki

Thanks for expressing interest.

As you'll have spotted if you looked at the talk page for the project page, this project gets relaunched every few years amid much enthusiasm and then after six or twelve months everyone drifts away. Actually it's not that bad. A lot of those who came and went are still producing excellent new wiki-articles including some which are effectively translations from other language versions of wikipedia, and I still wiki-communicate with various of them from time to time on talk pages. But also ... being a creature of habit I have stuck with the original format and am now left as the only one still adding little batches of ten for translation and then translating them. As the only one left, I also update the thing each month end by "archiving" the links to the entries that have been done/started. It goes against the grain to be doing something administrative rather than contributing "content" but somehow I do it anyhow. It doesn't take very long....

Anyway, no one else will welcome you to the project's list of helpful people so I thought I would. Thank you for adding your wiki-name. Feel free to add batches for translation. Or not. Feel free to translate things that others have listed. Or not. What seemed to happen when there were several of us was that we mostly listed our own candidates for translation in batches of ten (the wiki-gentleman responsible for the most recent relaunch was keen on batches of ten - I never stopped to wonder why) and then we ended up translating our own proposals. Which has a logic. In that sense it was from the outset less collaborative than I had anticipated, but it got the job done.

It is also possible that you don't really see the point of involving yourself in this project but nevertheless sometimes get to the stage of wondering what to do next (on Wikipedia). Which takes me to my not so hidden other agenda point ... Maybe that is a wrong inference and/or out of date; but if yu should ever find yourself at a wiki-loose end you are always welcome to raid my "to do" lists. They - the ones I have in mind - look like this, this, this and this. You are, of course, also more than welcome to ignore this message. If you really get bitten by the wiki-bug, and especially if the day job should ever lose its attractions, you will no doubt create your own "to do" list(s), tailored to your own interests and favoured "red links". But I sense that till now you may not have reached such a dangerous level of wiki-dependency. Success Charles01 (talk) 11:14, 9 October 2018 (UTC)

Dear Charles01, thank you so very much for the warm welcome! I have been fulfilling many requests at the Wikipedia:Requested articles project and realized how many of them were merely requests for a translation from another language. I will surely go through your to-do lists and make myself as useful as possible. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any translation projects you might have in mind. Thank you and kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 15:20, 9 October 2018 (UTC).

Aaaargh

Except that sneakily someone already did that one, which is good, but s/he changed the name so we both missed it which is ... a pity. But there are sources on "your" version and a link to a picture which s/he missed. So someone needs - ideally - to go through your sources and add them to the text on the longer entry in appropriately selected slots. Maybe also the portrait if it is alrady on wiki-commons - no it's not. Yet.

In the process of doing that one might pick out one or two interesting factoids from the sources and build the text a bit more. If you don't I probably will at some stage. But not today. Still recovering from driving round Rotterdam in the rush hour which almost certainly counts as much too much information. Success Charles01 (talk) 20:03, 11 October 2018 (UTC)

Dear Charles01, I seriously missed that one too! Should I discuss a merge from my version to the longer one? I’ll do as you advise. I hope Rotterdam is treating you well! Are you native to Germany? Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 00:01, 12 October 2018 (UTC).
Update - I’ve been bold and proposed a merger. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 04:29, 12 October 2018 (UTC).
Left to my own devices and given the early stage of the duplicate, and since only one person till now - you - has contributed substantive content I guess I'd simply have integrated all the new sources and image and any new factoids/text - and any new categories if they make sense - into the longer entry and then converted the newer page, duly reduced, into a redirect. But maybe proposing a merger is the more correct process! Either way, it takes us in the sensible direction, I think. Regards Charles01 (talk) 05:45, 12 October 2018 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 24

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Patwardhan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rajapur (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

March Madness 2020

G'day all, March Madness 2020 is about to get underway, and there is bling aplenty for those who want to get stuck into the backlog by way of tagging, assessing, updating, adding or improving resources and creating articles. If you haven't already signed up to participate, why not? The more the merrier! Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 08:19, 29 February 2020 (UTC) for the coord team

Notice

The article Kiante Anderson has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Doesn't meet WP:NGRIDIRON on account of never actually playing in the NFL before being released from the practice squad. Sources are all routine announcements of signings/releases, nothing in-depth that would take him past WP:GNG on his own merits.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ♠PMC(talk) 19:05, 14 July 2020 (UTC)

Ramiz King

Hi your making this page, I’m so excited as His fan and want to highlight he has notable in Afghanistan for being Afghan first reality tv star and has his new show coming on prime time tv there end of year. U can merge our articles or whatever u like. What do u suggest? Positiveilluminati (talk) 04:48, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Dear Positiveilluminati, thank you for reaching out. I made the stub article as part of the Wikipedia:Requested articles project. The discussion to merge the draft article with the stub article is presently open without a conclusion; when a conclusion is reached, further action to either pages will take place. In the meantime, if you have any suggestions, and more importantly: reliable sources on the subject's notability which you can point me to, that would be most welcome. Please note, that Wikipedia frowns upon adding information to biographical articles that is poorly sourced, unreliably sourced, or is of a promotional nature. While you are very welcome to edit, please note that your edits may be reviewed and corrected for bias and conflict of interest by advanced Wikipedians. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 07:06, 9 July 2021 (UTC).

Okay thank you I suppose if you’re a professional you should continue making it and I’ll help. I’ve noticed some of this subjects articles are under Ramiz mtv with no last name and also I researched and found out there will be upcoming more Afghan media buzz cuz his show is been confirmed on a big network so will be publicly announced very soon and due to lack of Afghan media there isn’t much news section articles as they only have news which isn’t always on news section. Also I’m confused because the reviewers wrote on my draft that he isn’t notable but one of the notability guidelines are for artists and etc that they must originate or co-create a new significant monument or movement or even category which this subject has done as in Afghan media there is no reality tv stars and he is solely the only one. Hope I can help you. Positiveilluminati (talk) 07:37, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Lastly I added infobox can you add the sources for example for Rohina name patrika mentions it and for New York film Academy patrika also mentions it independently. They can be cited by you pls. Positiveilluminati (talk) 07:39, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Dear Positiveilluminati, please leave below a list of all the reliable sources you can find on the subject. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 19:23, 9 July 2021 (UTC).

Whoever made this article knows true rulings of Wikipedia and isn’t biased because I have too checked all his colleagues pages and if they’re notable why would he not be notable too? Whoever started this article I’d like To say continue on and perhaps wait for more articles to keep releasing. Overall good initiative.Godlypresence (talk) 12:30, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Dear Godlypresence, please leave below a list of Wikipedia pages on the subject's peers. Thank you, Spinster300 (talk) 19:23, 9 July 2021 (UTC).
Baseer Ali - Krissan Barretto - Positiveilluminati (talk) 03:58, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
krissann Barretto & also can you pls cite the infobox of Ramiz with patika for education and family please? Positiveilluminati (talk) 04:03, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
Thank you Positiveilluminati, I will look into these pages and why they have met Wikipedia's notability standards. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 05:37, 10 July 2021 (UTC).

Hi, look pls opinion-ate the fact that making a new concept in Afghanistan is the sole reason for the articles notability. There’s more news coming each day let’s just give it a week or two. Positiveilluminati (talk) 10:31, 11 July 2021 (UTC)

bonadea contributions talk 13:17, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Thank you for informing me, Bonadea. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 19:30, 9 July 2021 (UTC).

Hi I strongly don’t believe this should be deleted because he is clearly fitting the criteria of being notable enough to start a new momentum in his home country. We should await few more weeks to see if more independent news is written as he has upcoming releases. Please review all the edits and see if it was done fairly. I suggest we keep it as it is an interesting article and just because Afghanistan doesn’t have a major news publication doesn’t mean we shouldn’t support. Positiveilluminati (talk) 16:04, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Why is Bonedea keep removing the Deccan chronicle article which states Ramiz is Afghanistan’s first reality tv star and spinster had used that article in the beginning why is it keep being removed? I find it fishy. When especially a editor had said in my draft that it’s a reliable source ? Positiveilluminati (talk) 17:26, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Dear Positiveilluminati, please note that the issue of deletion will be discussed on by other Wikipedians at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ramiz King. You are welcome to argue your points on that page. If there is no immediate evidence of the subject's notability at present, the article will be deleted. If the subject is found to be notable in the future, the article may be recreated. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 19:30, 9 July 2021 (UTC).
Please respond to Bondea removing the Deccan chronicle, is that necessary? Positiveilluminati (talk) 19:56, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
As Bonadea has explained on the Talk:Ramiz King page, the article from Deccan Chronicle was deemed part of a standard press release. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 05:41, 10 July 2021 (UTC).

Okay but also articles like this https://www.iwmbuzz.com/digital/snippets-digital/ramiz-king-afghanistans-first-reality-tv-celebrity-india/2020/10/12 IS on Krissann Barretto wikipedia and it’s in same format by snippet why can’t it be on his? It’s not press release that’s how Indian media writes under - same goes for Deccan Chronicle & I BEEN CHECKING every hour for new sources and his Instagram I found new source from Hindustan Times. Pls check if it’s good enough I think it’s notable https://www.hindustantimes.com/cities/lucknow-news/amazed-to-see-the-industry-swiftly-bouncing-back-ramiz-101625923594824.html Positiveilluminati (talk) 13:54, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

Women in Red

Hi there, Spinster300, and welcome to Women in Red. I see you have already created quite a number of short biographies of women and am happy to hear you now intend to concentrate on nobility. You might find some women of interest on our Wikidata nobility list. If you haven't already done so, you should look through our Ten Simple Rules. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 08:49, 9 August 2021 (UTC)

Dear Ipigott, thank you so very much for your warm welcome. I have been starting biographical articles for quite some time now over at Requested Articles, and when I discovered Women in Red, I couldn't resist helping. I have been through your occupation lists, as well as the lists the project maintains by region. I sincerely hope these articles I begin are expanded to some wonderful ones. Thank you for guiding me to your Ten Simple Rules; even though I am an intermediate Wikipedian, a gentle reminder of what we are all here to do definitely helps. I will surely reach out to you if I am in need of further assistance. Thank you, Spinster300 (talk) 14:19, 9 August 2021 (UTC).

Speedy deletion nomination of Densil Porteous

Hello Spinster300,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Densil Porteous for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Dear FULBERT, thank you for letting me know. Work has kept me away for the past few days. I see the article has already been deleted, and I do not intend to contest its deletion. Have a lovely day! Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 17:27, 24 August 2021 (UTC).
