Edit summaries[edit]

Hey, I noticed you're kind of new, so I wanna help you out a bit. A word of advice - you can describe the edits you're making with the edit summary. Under the edit window there's a line that says, "Edit summary (Briefly describe the changes you have made)" and a window to the right of that where you can write the things you did. You don't have to go into detail, so for example if you're changing a factual error, just say, "Correcting factual error" or something like that. Leaving edit summaries would be helpful so other editors can look through an article's history and see who did what and when. Cheers! LazyBastardGuy 19:41, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edge of Tomorrow[edit]

Hello, regarding Edge of Tomorrow (film), please see my edit summaries. "Reception" is too vague because we have reception from both critics and audiences, so "Critical reception" is clear-cut. In addition, it is POV to claim a consensus for the film, as evidenced by Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic not reporting an overall consensus yet. Cinema Blend is a bloggish source to use where we have many more authoritative sources. Lastly, when sampling reviews, we highlight what a critic thought of the film, not to repeat vague praise. February 2015[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Doniago. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Shakespeare in Love seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. Friendly note[edit]

You added a bunch of completely unsourced accolades to Spirited Away, every instance needs to be sourced and carefully selected for relevancy, especially local and state relevancy awards. Anything like "Overlooked Film of the Year" nomination is not likely to be of major importance and is not even an accolade if you really want to think about it. Proposed deletion of Utah Film Critics Association Awards[edit]

The article Utah Film Critics Association Awards has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable Film awards

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ...William 10:15, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Spencer. Not a problem — the process will run its course by itself after seven days. Actually, there are quite a few small, regional film-critics groups that don't have Wikipedia pages, so just to say, it's nothing against Utah (or Las Vegas or Central Ohio) critics. Wikipedia, like any encyclopedia, has to draw boundaries, and Google hits is as good a method as any. Thanks for getting in touch! --Tenebrae (talk) 18:11, 4 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
