Hey SomeGuy11112,

Let me start by saying I love the Decemberists, and the modifications you made to the article prior to the move of "Down By The Water" are good. Unfortunately, the song does not meet the notability requirements to warrant a separate article, that is why I included the relevant information in the album page. Check out WP:NSONG, most cases, if it charts, it deserves its' own article. It is currently a stub and in my opinion won't grow much beyond that, and until it charts (although I can't imagine it making Billboards Hot 100) the song information belongs in The King is Dead. Please move it back.

Thanks, and if you have any questions, let me know. - Theornamentalist (talk) 02:50, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Rudy (Supertramp song)[edit]

Hello, SomeGuy11112,

Thank you for creating Rudy (Supertramp song).

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

[WP:NSONG] "Songs and singles are probably notable if they have been the subject of multiple, non-trivial published works whose sources are independent of the artist and label. This includes published works in all forms, such as newspaper articles, other books, television documentaries or reviews. This excludes media reprints of press releases, or other publications where the artist, its record label, agent, or other self-interested parties advertise or speak about the work."

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Acalycine}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Notice

The article The Metal has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable song that has never charted, never had airplay, never won an award, never been covered, never had substantive coverage in any WP:RS. Fails WP:GNG, WP:NMUSIC, and specifically WP:NSONG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
