KTJK AM station[edit]

Will you be working on the KTJK article for the AM station as well? —C.Fred (talk) 01:08, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No, it is a non-English station in another area of the state.
Then there's no need for a disambiguation of the call letters; the FM station can live at KTJK. —C.Fred (talk) 02:29, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

KTJK moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, KTJK, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Copying or moving content within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from KKHR into KTJK. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 11:21, 10 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your concern. These call signs have been legally swapped in a filing approved by the Federal Communications Commission in August 2023. The information moved between pages is necessary because that history relates to the FACILITY, not the CALL SIGN.

@SlimBailey Hi Dustin. I get it: radio station article moves are complicated and work like nothing else on the encyclopedia. But article histories move with call signs! Next time you have to deal with a round-robin move or page swap of this kind, contact a page mover or post at our requests for technical moves page. Or better yet, contact me (also a page mover). I wrote the book on radio station titling, wrote most of the articles for 106.3 and 1340 (which both appeared at Did you know on the front page), and can sort through all of your questions on good radio station articles and Wikipedia best practices. Actually, I could use some advice on getting our logos to stick - especially for The Patriot. SlimBailey (talk) 01:49, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you link me to the logo file you want used, what I will do is upload it and add the non-free use rationale required. Presumably you've been uploading the logo to Commons where it cannot stay. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 06:09, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I did upload it twice to non-free, even including the link to the logo page we posted especially knowing this article exists. Here's the links to the image on that page with the disclosure. www.thepatriotabilene.com/logos https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/52Vm87xaOmkB-vOGIjKcEqFfjcKhK58gHUjAAio1F0IvFpTTusRig8ZDf9yAB2op7uUTKq3wgJlqvjiHPBKuGZE=w1280 SlimBailey (talk) 18:15, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@SlimBailey Alright, I uploaded it. Looking below, it looks like your previous attempts were deleted as reuploads of previously speedily deleted content. Someone saved you on the Raider logo. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 22:09, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
