September 2010[edit]

Your addition has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:33, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

At least some of the content you added to Sindhi people was taken from here, as you seem to have copied Baldev Matlani's words. Citing a source does not authorize us to copy its contents; unless we can prove that the content is public domain, we can't import it here. Other content you added matched other websites. I cannot easily tell if they were the originals of those words or if they've copied them from elsewhere, but since I know that you did copy Dr. Matlani, your edit has been reverted. Please feel free to add content that you have completely written yourself. You may use brief excerpts of copyrighted content if these are clearly marked as quotations. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:37, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

February 2011[edit]

Your recent edit at Sindhi people has been reverted for two important reasons.

  • You reverted the body of the article to how it appeared on September 15, 2010, which was the last time you had edited the article. In doing so, you obliterated 73 intermediate edits and overwrote the work of many other editors. Mass reverts of that scale without good cause are extremely disruptive and are not in keeping with Wikipedia's collaborative process.
  • Your edit also reinstated copyrighted material, about which you have been previously warned (see the above messages from Moonriddengirl). Copying words and images from other websites is illegal and absolutely forbidden on Wikipedia. AtticusX (talk) 17:11, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without verifying permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted, as you did at Sindhi people. Once the block has expired, you're welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. You restored exactly the same text to the article that had already been removed as a copyright violation. Further violations of our copyright policy may result in the indefinite suspension of this account. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:57, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not include unsupported or inaccurate statements. Whenever you add possibly controversial statements about a living person to an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did to Deepika Padukone, you must include proper sources. If you don't know how to cite a source, you may want to read Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners for guidelines. Thank you. Signed | Aoghac2z | 03:59, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I did give a source and you can google it and check its validitySindhi seth (talk) 18:03, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The source you had provided is a blog. Blogs are largely not acceptable as reliable sources. Acquaint yourself with the kind of sources allowed on Wikipedia. Read WP:RS. Signed | Aoghac2z | 18:08, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
