Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. Expert attention boxes[edit]

I was wondering why you have been extensively tagging military history articles with "need of expert attention" and "disputed" boxes without actually leaving any reason on the talk pages. You did this with the Unified Task Force article, for example. What are your grounds for saying that this article needs expert attention and contains factual innacuracy? --Mat Hardy (talk) 23:30, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:Copy_of_agreement.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Copy_of_agreement.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Chris G Bot (talk) 00:19, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Johor fc logo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Johor fc logo.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:05, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Johor fc logo.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Johor fc logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
  • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.

I have reverted your restoration of the non-free logo to this page. As my edit summary notes, the use of the item violates WP:NFCC #10c and must be removed until it complies. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 19:19, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please follow Wiki rules[edit]

Shah 88, your post on Gunkarta's page is threading WP:CIVIL. That, and the fact that you have definely crossed 3rrr, insisting on POV pushing with sources that are unacceptable by wikipedia standards. Please follow community rules here, and take this as a fair warning. Zhanzhao (talk) 18:36, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Coba bahasa inggeris disini - WP:3RR - hati hati - you have broken that rule already - also - the page is now protected SatuSuro 02:17, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Attack warning[edit]

Do not call me names like "indon" and please be polite. Your recent posts can be considered violation of WP:CIVIL and Wikipedia:no personal attack. If there will be another anonymous IP attacks on me, I'll considered it was came from you, as it was happened before (Gunkarta (talk) 16:27, 18 January 2011 (UTC)).[reply]

I don't care..pity u inferior indonesia..country without vision..even u speak english, it can't change the fact that u r indonesian..loser always loser..Shah 88 (talk) Shah 16:45, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

More violations on civility, personal attacks, ethnic/nationality slurs. Wikipedia community is no place for uncivil behaviour like that. Reported to editors. You will hear from me or wikipedia authority soon. (Gunkarta (talk) 16:54, 18 January 2011 (UTC))[reply]
Last warning on the personal attacks. Any further personal attacks will see this matter brought up to The administrator's noice board/Incidents. That coupled with repeated 3rrr offences despite repeated warnings will not do you any good once this gets escalated, so think carefully before you post again.Zhanzhao (talk) 17:56, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That should have already gone to ANI. But, there's now a number of people watching Shah. I suggest he treads carefully. --Merbabu (talk) 12:40, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sock Puppet Violation[edit]

Warning! Here in wikipedia we have rule against multiple account WP:SOCK. I believe you have violated this rule by creating multiple accounts next to your current account User:Shah 88: User:Shah 88/Free Aceh, User:Shah 88/Proud Johorean. Your other user page might be blocked (Gunkarta (talk) 12:10, 19 January 2011 (UTC)).[reply]

These actually are user pages - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:PrefixIndex/User:Shah 88/ with flagcruft/userboxes - rather than alternative accounts - but note what Gunkarta says - you keep your enthusiasms to one account - and you are ok - take it to more than one account and you will be blocked if you use multiple accounts for no valid reason SatuSuro 12:28, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

hahaha..Am I care?? Shah 12:45, 19 January 2011 (UTC)

You should care if you want to be considered as serious contributor (aka: not a vandals) in wikipedia community. I will keep an extra eye on you because I think you have issues with Indonesia or Indonesians. (Gunkarta (talk) 12:49, 19 January 2011 (UTC)).[reply]
Gunkarta - enough people are watching him now, and they will act if there's anymore problems. It might be best if you just watched. :-) cheers --Merbabu (talk) 12:52, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

ANI notification[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. --Merbabu (talk) 13:31, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Once again..Am I care?? hahaha Shah 13:34, 19 January 2011 (UTC)

You should care, because responses like that and banners like the one at the top of this page are likely to make administrators think less well of you. Ultimately you could be blocked for incivility or disruption - would that be likely to make you care? You are a productive and constructive editor in much that you do, but you are part of a community here and that dfoes mean taking others into account sometimes. Kim Dent-Brown (Talk) 13:37, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have nominated the file for deletion at commons for being disparaging/derogatory with no historical or educational context --Errant (chat!) 14:02, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for for personal attacks and incivility. Once the block has expired, you're welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:04, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Whatever provocation you may feel you have, you may not attack people. Racial, sexual, homophobic, ageist, religious, political, ethnic, or other epithets are strictly forbidden by policy. Any disputes you encounter must be handled appropriately under the guidance of dispute resolution. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:08, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You have now been indefinitely blocked, as not only have you violated policy by evading your block to create User:Indog to continue your personal attacks and harassment, but have vandalized an article with this. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:02, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, can u give me evidence? seriously, i never did that.. Shah 16:09, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
I will ask a checkuser to determine if that is true. Given the uploading of yet another racial slur on Commons after your original block, though (it has now been deleted, like the first), the sudden appearance of a new account to continue nationalistic personal accounts against the contributor with whom you were interacting above is pretty strong circumstantially. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:03, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Moonriddengirl..Firstly. I would like to say sorry..I was frequently provoked by some person from Indonesia..They always revert my edit..I hope you revoke this block because I want to contribute to Malaysia-related and soccer-related pages.. Shah 18:16, 19 January 2011 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You do not convince me that you understand the reason for your block and will not make such edits again. See also WP:NOTTHEM.  Sandstein  19:39, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I don't believe that this should be considered until the checkuser I've asked to evaluate User:Indog verifies whether or not the accounts are connected. If they are not, it will be the 24 hour block that needs consideration. If they are, we have issues of vandalizing articles in furtherance of your anger to consider as well as the personal attacks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:24, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
For the record, checkuser results came back as  Unlikely, per MuZemike. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 18:52, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I have reset your block to the original 24 hours, Shah, since it seems like somebody might have taken advantage of the current situation to try to frame you for more extensive attacks than you actually made. I'll leave it to another administrator to determine if your block should be truncated, and I'll note that the vandalism only account at User:Indog is not you, unless somebody else has already done that. It's important that you take away from this an understanding that no matter how frustrated you become with another contributor, you cannot respond by lashing out, and lashing out in the manner you did is highly inappropriate. Even before the secondary account, two responders at ANI had voiced dissatisfaction with the brief block I had given you. When your block expires or if it is lifted, you must remember to stay cool. Whether your opponent was badly behaved or not (I have not even looked), your actions in this matter reflected very badly on you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:41, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you..Maybe somebody from Indonesia did it..Shah 88 (talk) 19:55, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Whoever he is, he resides in the same country that you do, according to the checkuser. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:09, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) Shah - the check user result says it was the same country that your edits came from - I presume that's Malaysia? The result did not say it wasn't you. The result said it was "unlikely". --Merbabu (talk) 20:10, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Moonriddengirl..For your info, there is cyber war between Malaysia and Indonesia.. Shah 88 (talk) 20:23, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I am very sorry but I find the plea of innocence by this user totally unconvincing, and Sandsteins response to the sorry at the unblock request. I would like to see where I should assume WP:AGF when the record is clear in the edit history of this user.
There is still an account on commons with the same name http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Shah_88 that had deliberately provocative titles and photographs (however muchone might expect such motifs and behaviours when it comes to soccer in Southeast Asia) such as File:Indon_is_rubbish.jpg - and there was also one which was further more abusive - if it is the same user who says there is cyber war between Malaysia and Indonesia - then this user is part of it and is engaged in it - and shows no sign of either apologising to any of the targets of edit warring or abuse, or acknowledging previous edit history as being disruptive, and simply tried to excuse himself by I was frequently provoked by some person from Indonesia.
I would be very hesitant on seeing any edits by this user not being scrutinised closely for some considerable time. SatuSuro 23:32, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Shah 88, Wikipedia is not the place to wage battles. See WP:NOTBATTLEGROUND. One of the conditions of your contribution here — the same conditions imposed on all contributors — is that you must prioritize the well-being of Wikipedia itself, and to do that you must keep this environment civil. Given this incident, any future attacks are likely to lead to more serious sanctions, including an outright ban from the site. No matter what provocation you may receive, there is absolutely no place for that kind of behavior here. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 01:48, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Another account[edit]

I found this similarly offensive user name with same modus operandi from last week. [1]. I've posted it on the ANI board and requested a check user. Also, from memory, late last year there was another account like this interacting with Shah and Gunkarta with a relatively short user name. If someone can remember who please let us know. --Merbabu (talk) 00:49, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I also found this new similarly offensive user name and user page with same modus operandi: User:Indon babu belanda. It is clearly an anti-Indonesia hate-account (Gunkarta (talk) 16:19, 20 January 2011 (UTC)).[reply]
Bro, why do u always suspect me? r u frustrated? Shah 88 (talk) 16:30, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No, I'm not frustated, because unlike you, my record is almost spotless, and I can continue to contribute in wikipedia and be a good member of this community as long as possible. About suspecting you, me as the frequent name-calling abuse victim why not? really.., a little suspicion will do me good. Most of the action I had done here is just presenting the facts about abusive actions of some irresponsible users. Because curiously after my edit disagreement with you, suddenly my page and many of Indonesian-related articles are being vandalized with hate-crimes against Indonesia, just because the articles topics or me are Indonesian. And suddenly popping from nowhere some new users with abusive names derogating Indonesians and do some damages. And based on your past uncivil - ehem correction.., - abusive behaviors (plurals), why not..? Go figures. If it was not done by you through your usually used computer, maybe through your other computers, other frequently visited internet cafes, or maybe your compatriots in this soo called Indonesia-Malaysia cyber war as you stated before. I truly do not care what you did or do in cyberworld outside wikipedia, but DO NOT bring this ugly and pathetic Malaysia-Indonesia cyber war and net-bashing into wikipedia. Here we have rules of conduct and civility. I do not have problems with Malaysia or Malaysian, hell.., I've even frequently reverted vandalism on Malaysia-related articles, and I'm the one that write some of the Malay-related articles and section and do some edit in wikipedia Indonesia if there was some distorted article discrediting or did unjustly to Malaysia. My upmost loyalty is for the fact and the truth regardless nationality. However I do strongly believe that you have severe issues with Indonesia or Indonesians, and I do believe that you take part in this ridiculous cyber war, and I do not buy nor believe your sincerity (Gunkarta (talk) 17:17, 20 January 2011 (UTC)).[reply]
Speaking as a Malaysian, I have to agree with Gunkarta, Merbabu et al. Please stop with incivility, ethnic bashing and all the other unacceptable behaviour. It does nothing for wikipedia and in terms of any 'cyber-wars' between Malaysia and Indonesia, all it does is tarnish the image of Malaysia and Malaysians in general (which may imply the suggestion Indonesians are involved has merit but sadly I don't think so since that level of sophistication is usually not seen). Frankly, this sort of behaviour is why I'd sometimes rather not identify as a Malaysian and I'm quite sure I'm not the only one. If you really can't resist the urge to engage in such behaviour, please either involve yourself in areas where such situations are unlikely to arise or just voluntarily leave wikipedia. To Nil Einne http://national-express-malaysia.blogspot.com/2010/11/chinese-and-indians-not-patriotic.html Shah 88 (talk) 20:08, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest everyone gets back to improving wikipedia. Shah, what is the relevance of that linked article about an alleged lack of nationalism amongst Chinese and Indian Malaysians? Please explain how it helps improve wikipedia, or remove it, thanks --Merbabu (talk) 20:14, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know, perhaps the fact that Nil Einne appeared to be Malaysian Chinese due to the chinese fonts on his user page may have something to do with it, but I "MIGHT" be wrong. But unless Shah 88 has a good explanation for it WP:Civil and WP:NPA is on the table again for this particular editor. Consider yourself warned. Zhanzhao (talk) 00:49, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I missed the "To Nil Einne" and I didn't realise that the link might be intended as a disparagement against him/her. If so, then it is indeed trolling. The response to trolling is of course to ignore it (WP:DENY), and none of us are ignoring it. We should now try to back away from commenting further on the behaviour and stick to content discussions. If indeed Shah is trolling and continues, then admins can take it from there. --Merbabu (talk) 01:05, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Note[edit]

I have serious doubts about your capacity to maintain a WP:CIVIL and WP:AGF edit history in the future - in view of your responses to date:-

  • being blocked ( hahaha..Am I care?? Shah 8:45 pm, 19 January 2011, last Wednesday (3 days ago) (UTC+8) Once again..Am I care?? hahaha Shah 9:34 pm, 19 January 2011, last Wednesday (3 days ago) (UTC+8))
  • your commons account behaviour [2]
  • your edit summaries [3]

It would be good if you can actually edit without causing problems and maintaining a non antagonistic neutral edit history for a while, in other words not using offensive or combative terms or trying to blame Indonesians for your problems. Best of luck SatuSuro 23:37, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite block[edit]

You have been blocked from editing indefinitely for personal attacks and incivility. Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:04, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Given the latest checkuser evidence at the WP:ANI report which finds it likely to conclusive that you are also indefinitely blocked User:Indon sial and your response here, which can only be interpreted as intended to offend, I have indefinitely blocked you pending some credible reason to believe that you are more interested in advancing Wikipedia's goals than in continuing to carry forward with whatever grudges are motivating you. I would suggest you read through WP:BATTLEGROUND carefully before framing your unblock request. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:30, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
