November 2021[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Chimera (mythology), it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 18:31, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Manchukuo, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Loafiewa (talk) 16:54, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article List of Cameroonian Flags has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. List of Cameroonian Flags moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, List of Cameroonian Flags, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Pointless translations[edit]

Please don't add translations to the ledes of articles unless the topic has a strong connection to the language in question. You've added several in which that was clearly not the case. OhNoitsJamie Talk 18:51, 26 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop disruptive editing[edit]

You are about to trigger an edit war at List of Burmese flags. You should not edit or add things to article about other nations' history and flags, unless you have strong knowledge about history. Little knowledge is dangerous. If you want to add controversial things, you should go to talk page and discuss first. I am going to report you if you continue. နေနီဝန်း (talk) 17:27, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your creations[edit]

Hello Santiago Ríos Undurraga. I've just moved five of your "List of flags of X" creations from the mainspace to draft. These pages cite 0 sources for the flags. You are free to work on them in them and move them back to the mainspace once the flags are sourced. Please do not create lists like these in the future, or any article in general, without citing sources. Thank you. ~StyyxTalk? 18:51, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Flag of Eritrea into List of Eritrean flags. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 20:24, 25 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Indic script[edit]

Per the Manual of Style page on India-related articles, avoid the use of Indic scripts in the lead sections or infoboxes. Instead, use International Phonetic Alphabet pronunciation guides, which are more international. Exceptions are articles on the script itself, articles on a language that uses the script, and articles on texts originally written in a particular script. This does not apply to articles that are not predominantly within the scope of WikiProject India.

Consensus and common practice among WikiProject Pakistan editors is that the lead sentence of an article may contain Urdu or other transliterations in regional script(s) such as Shahmukhi, Perso-Arabic, Naskh etc., where applicable or relevant. IPA may be used additionally to aid pronunciation. Articles under the scope of WikiProject Pakistan are not covered under WP:INDICSCRIPT. Note that this consensus only applies to Pakistan-related articles. The use of Urdu and other non-Indic scripts on articles outside the scope of Pakistan-related articles, such as India-related articles, may be subsumed under WP:INDICSCRIPT.
