the pedigree is mislabeled, even in the definition given on the page it's not a true facebuster, so it should be listed on DDT. i was nice and left it listed with a pointer on the facebuster page. dont be a dumbfuck. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.7.35.194 (talkcontribs)

I see that you just reverted this user's vandalism of the Irish Civil War article. Please place a {{subst:test2}} warning on his talk page, as this is the second time in less than a week that he has vandalized said article. Thanks. ---Charles 00:18, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, I see that you already warned him. Cheers! ---Charles 00:19, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ahh, gotcha. Just looking out. --SamMichaels 03:07, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have plentiful Wiki experience and have heard elsewhere that editing anothers user page can be considered vandalism. I didn't realize I hadn't logged in until it was too late. Thanks for watching out though. 0-172 3:40, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

I see that you've been editing one of these pages recently and wondered if you had any opinion about their merger? Thanks. Trilobitealive 03:57, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not particularly, just reverting vandalism on an RC patrol. --SamMichaels 04:02, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: User page[edit]

Re your message: Yes, you seem to have picked up a "fan." It's an unfortunate thing that happens with being a RC patroller. Don't let it discourage you though. Keep up the good work. =) -- Gogo Dodo 18:04, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re, vandalism on page yo yo[edit]

I am the individual who you sent a message to about vandalising the page on yoyos, In fact I was deleting a racist joke making an analogy between black people and yoyos, I am an inexprienced user of wikipedia, so I am not good at editing, if there was a official process for deleting vandalism, than i am sorry I did not know it existed and presumed the racist joke could be deleted on the spot. please pardon my error but I meant well, I would hope to avoid such trouble in the future. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 85.134.140.213 (talk) 19:05, 11 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Question about images...[edit]

Re your message: Well... there really is not speedy delete tag for spam images. I suspect you're referring to Image:Bigadvert.gif. That one actually had a bad license tag for it. It's not GFDL image since their webpage has a copyright tag on it. Best to post it and the other images at WP:IFD. -- Gogo Dodo 06:01, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WCOJ[edit]

I was the one who removed the PROD tags, as they were deemed unnecessary. User:Bearcat and I removed tags from that about about 30 other stations that had been tagged. I am honestly not sure why it was tagged, but we did add some FCC linkage to all the tagged pages and tidy up any infobox (your's not included) as needed.

The WCOJ was one that we actually missed added a FCC link to. I will do that forthwith, but if you like to on any radio page you create, just add {{amq|WXXX}} for AM stations or {{fmq|WXXX}} for FM stations and you will get a link like this ‹The template AMQ is being considered for deletion.›  WCOJ in the FCC AM station database that will go directly to the respective FCC page.

Sorry about the confusion on the PROD tags, it has been taken care of. Take Care....SVRTVDude (Yell - Work) 23:39, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks :) --SamMichaels 14:07, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism has picked up most recently on the page - I created the page in December 2005 - since then, I noticed last year there was a spike in vandalism around this time last year. Seems to be happening again this year. --myselfalso 03:16, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the suggestions for the music program for CD. I will be sure to research the exact achievments of the music program at CD to better the entry, as well as cite some sources. This may take some time. However, I am not sure if you are getting this message, so I posted this message on my talk site as well. If you could respond so I know you got this, that would be great! Fair use disputed for Image:Zdlogo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Zdlogo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:52, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FYI/Another wikipedia member tracked this bot and tagged all the images. I think the bot was blocked. --SamMichaels 19:19, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:WHYL_Channel_96_Fabulous_Fifty_Part_2.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 18:45, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:WHYL_Channel_96_Fabulous_Fifty_Part_1.jpg[edit]

I have tagged Image:WHYL_Channel_96_Fabulous_Fifty_Part_1.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. Alleviat article's nomination for speedy deletion[edit]

I know I probably come across as a n00b. Sorry. I was a little surprised by the nomination for speedy deletion of my article about the forthcoming Benea Reach album Alleviat, considering I had just created it. I was just wondering if you could possibly help with making the article more notable or official. I believe that it is a notable album as it is the second release by a band nominated for the Spellemansprisn(the Norwegian Grammy, essentially). The article will be updated as more information becomes available. Feel free to comment me on my talk pageBineothan (talk) 04:03, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination for BitArmor[edit]

I saw your message about the speedy deletion nomination for the BitArmor article and have contested the nomination with the hangon tag and a note on the article talk page. The thing is I didn't see any db tags at the top of the article. (No complaints.:) Does this mean the article's nomination for speedy deletion has been removed?

Any suggestions on how to improve the article or better assert the subject's notability are appreciated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Afagelson (talkcontribs) 05:52, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An administrator reviewed the CSD and determined an assumption of good faith should keep the article. Thanks for contributing. --SamMichaels (talk) 05:58, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Note[edit]

Hello Sam - I am unsure if this will just get removed or if you will actually receive some kind of communication that I have added this; however, I am an old friend from the Swamp Gas BBS days and, despite my best efforts, have only found this page to possibly be the most reliable way to get to you. If you do come across this, as I have seen you have not been active since 2007, please send me an e-mail at wesengott @ gmail.com I hope this reaches you and that you are the Sam Michaels that I once knew from days gone past. 98.111.113.105 (talk) 04:24, 4 January 2014 (UTC)Derrick[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Fm102-ratecardmap-back-lowres.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Fm102-ratecardmap-back-lowres.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. File:Ground conductivity smallm3.jpg missing description details[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 05:06, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Zophar's Domain (logo).jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Zophar's Domain (logo).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:20, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
