I apologize, I was under the impression if I updated date-sensitive facts, for example number of employees or assets under management that was not considered advertising. I also wanted to be clear that I worked for the company. I have adjusted my username to show as an individual but will abide by whatever you think is appropriate at this point.

Thank you for your response. I do not want the "Your proposed new" in my username. I will also add the UserboxCOI template to my page, so it is clear to all people viewing edits.

In addition, if reinstated, I will add the {{connected contributor (paid)}} tag (as I am paid by my employer) in the talk page to disclose my COI and I will use the {{edit COI} template or post on the COI noticeboard and keep my changes concise and to facts only.

@Deepfriedokra @Robertsky - this is SMcKLordAbbett and I apologize for reaching out again but I am in a loop where I am unable to reset my password and therefore can not get back in to the page to resubmit for COI review. I have tried the special password request methods and am having no luck as well. Actually, Deepfriedokra I don't have access to anything that you don't. What I have sometimes done for other editors in the past, and you probably have in mind, is simply going to the login page, clicking "Forgot your password?" and requesting a reset email, giving the user's username. Usually there's no point in point in doing that, because if I can do it then so can the user, but sometimes some circumstance such as an IP block prevents them from doing it but not me. Anyway, I tried, and it seems to have worked. JBW (talk) 20:23, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
