Scary movies[edit]

Please do not delete content from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Scary Movie film series‎, without explaining the reason for the removal in the edit summary. Unexplained removal of content does not appear constructive, and your edit has been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox for test edits. Thank you. Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, which wasn't included with your recent edit to Jessica Carlson. As a result, I have reverted your change. —EncMstr 00:02, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:DarrenAndSteve.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:DarrenAndSteve.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 21:19, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced speculation[edit]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Ward3001 (talk) 22:27, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Ward3001 (talk) 22:27, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Cirquedufreakempire.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Cirquedufreakempire.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 00:59, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Destination Truth[edit]

If you go here: http://www.scifi.com/destinationtruth/episodes/index.php you will see the newest episodes are a continuation of season 2 and not a new third season. Cyberia23 (talk) 21:32, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've redirected Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel to Alvin and the Chipmunks (film)#Sequel per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 (2nd nomination). Please don't recreate this article until the film passes WP:NFF. Thanks, Cunard (talk) 03:04, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

December 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Jurassic Park (franchise) has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Image permission problem with Image:DarrenAndSteve.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:DarrenAndSteve.jpg, which you've sourced to http://darrenshan.com/monthly/DandSfirstpic.html. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 18:25, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with File:DarrenAndSteve.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:DarrenAndSteve.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
