Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 13:51, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

February 2014[edit]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Talk:Clifton: A Community Arts School with this edit, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you.  —Josh3580talk/hist 17:08, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

On your own talk page, you are free to blank content if you wish. But discussions on article talk pages are for all interested readers/editors. If the discussions get too long and some are out of date, they can be archived, but should not be simply blanked. It is possible to indicate that a particular discussion is closed, but this is not usually done unless it is clear that no one else wishes to comment. And if the discussion is not contentious, there is often to great reason to formally close it anyway. See Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines and particularly the section "When to condense pages" for more details. DES (talk) 17:34, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

March 2014[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Talk:Clifton: A Community Arts School, you may be blocked from editing. Jackmcbarn (talk) 19:20, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Clifton[edit]

Hi Joe, if you're affiliated with Clifton Community School (I've renamed the article to reflect the school's current name), please read our guidelines on conflicts of interest when editing. Thank you. — Scott talk 23:21, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Cattle and Crops for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Cattle and Crops is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cattle and Crops until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. The1337gamer (talk) 09:00, 15 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for sockpuppetry[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Renamed user teygvimdjc (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I understand why I was blocked and since I'm very new to this. I will need to look into this further and make myself aware of the guides and policies. It was a complete mistake and it shouldn't of happened at all and I'm fully aware of why the blocked happened. I'm also aware now for the future and this will certainly not happen again. I do apologise of the actions taken and take full responsibility going forward.

Decline reason:

Your block appeal has been reviewed and we are unable to unblock you at this time. However, you may wish to make use of our "Standard Offer", which provides a route back to editing for users subject to indefinite blocks. The guidelines for the Standard Offer are simple:

1. Wait six months without sockpuppetry. That means no editing the English Wikipedia, under this account or any other, for six months. 2. Promise to avoid the behaviour that led to the block/ban. You must show us that you understand what went wrong and know how to keep it from happening again. 3. Don't create any extraordinary reasons for the Wikipedia community to object to a return.

If, at the end of six months, you've adhered to these conditions, you may then appeal again and request that the community discuss unblocking you.

Please see WP:OFFER for full details about the Standard Offer. Just Chilling (talk) 02:20, 17 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 17:44, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

New unblock request[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Renamed user teygvimdjc (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I would like to start again, with another opportunity and taken on-board of the past events and mistakes made. I understand the reasons and why the block was made and is willing to move forward not make same mistake again.Joe Parkinson (talk) 11:52, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

Given the understanding of why you were blocked, and noting what edits you should and should not be making, I'm willing to unblock at this time. RickinBaltimore (talk) 15:18, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I did not detect any socking by the user. Question for you, what edits would you look to make should you be unblocked? RickinBaltimore (talk) 13:39, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If I'm understanding correctly, honestly currently, no edits to any pages will be made. But potentially soon, would love to get back in editing pages in a correct manner and assist in updating pages. Joe Parkinson (talk) 14:04, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering what pages in general, what areas? In essence, before being unblocked, we need to be sure you understand what led to the block before (not just the sockpuppetry), and how you'll avoid that in the future. RickinBaltimore (talk) 14:06, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Well, mainly around the gaming sections if edits will be taken place an area that interests me. And I understand what led to the block and reading the guidelines again on creation of new pages as well as further edits on current pages. Joe Parkinson (talk) 14:15, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm willing to take you at your word, and would advise against writing about Cattle and Crops in any capacity. @Bbb23:, as you were the blocking admin, I would like your input on this as to an unblock? RickinBaltimore (talk) 14:42, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@RickinBaltimore: I'll defer to your judgment. Thanks for asking.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:13, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Joe, I'm happy to unblock you at this time. Please however be mindful that you do NOT use multiple accounts improperly, and ensure your edits are free of any conflict of interest. RickinBaltimore (talk) 15:18, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I understand and make sure to follow the rules as requested. Joe Parkinson (talk) 17:00, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
