R.D. Kratz[edit]

Hello,

I believe that there has been some misunderstanding, but the page "R.D. Kratz" that I am trying to create is actually about myself. I am on my way, in the next six months, to being a world-wide published author. I am trying to create this page because I find it quite significant, especially because people may want to know who I am. I ask that you allow this page to be posted on Wikipedia, and maybe if you were to take a look at it, you may see why I want it to be "out there", as it were. I thank you for your consideration.

In Light,

Sslingbat (talk) 09:50, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image upload credits.[edit]

Re: File:Affinity promo.jpg, it seems you don't understand that when making a derivative image, whether it be resizing or otherwise, it's polite, if not required, to credit the original uploader. Just thought I'd mention it, as in this case the original upload was an image that had been heavily restored --WebHamster 09:20, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you were the original uploader, it appears you don't understand the criteria for fair-use images. I'd suggest reading up on them here. You might also want to note that in this case it's not required that the original uploader is credited, as they are not the copyright owner. RandomStringOfCharacters (talk) 18:32, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I was the original uploader and if you notice the file was uploaded quite a while ago when fair use limits were different. Given the work that went into the restoration of the image, not to mention the trouble sourcing the image, it's only common decency to credit the uploader, especially as all you've done is resize it (hardly a difficult job). At least I'll know you had fuck all to do with the supplying of the image. Trying to up your totals? --WebHamster 21:20, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:AkabaneBloodyHurricane.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:AkabaneBloodyHurricane.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:30, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Patrol - Vector skin[edit]

Hey,

I have used your version to the tool to improve mine. My tool now natively supports the vector skin.

Thanks, TheJosh (talk) 02:12, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RFA[edit]

I'm sorry to say that I have closed your RfA early per WP:NOTNOW. Don't be discouraged, keep improving the encyclopaedia and it's likely success will come your way. \ Backslash Forwardslash / {talk} 08:25, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, sorry that your RfA went the way it did. Not only the fact that it failed, but also the fact that editors acted under the assumption that you really have only been here for 6 weeks and had only 1200 edits. Just for the record, even though it ended before I could comment, I would have supported. I trust your nomination, and I seriously doubt you're trying to hide anything from us other than the privacy issues of the other account.
You know what you really should have done, though. You should have waited like a few months, came back with around 3 or 4 thousand edits, and applied with the statement excluding the fact that you had another account beforehand. Maybe the community will support you the 2nd time, but meh... being an administrator isn't everything. It really shouldn't have to be what it is being made out to be, though. Master&Expert (Talk) 08:48, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You must not have read my oppose rationale very well. I said I "won't take into account" the fact she's been around since 2008, since she doesn't want those edits connected to this account and I can't check them. I really wonder how you managed to read it as an assumption that she really has been around for only 6 weeks. Anyway, better luck next time Random.--Atlan (talk) 08:56, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It occurred to me after Tedder's comments that my perspective is a lot different than everyone elses. I respect your oppose (it makes tons of sense). But as I don't want to connect the accounts, I guess I'll just wait a while first. RandomStringOfCharacters (talk) 19:22, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
@Atlan - Actually, I wasn't specifically referring to your oppose, and I had read it over and understood it thoroughly. I should rephrase that I don't think the community assumed that she was only here for 6 weeks and had just 1200 edits, but they did speak to her as though her experience was akin to that of an editor who did have only that level of experience. I'm sorry if you took offense to what I'd said. It definitely wasn't intended. Master&Expert (Talk) 07:57, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

thanks for supplying a reduced version of that artwork... I don't have alot of time to monitor my watch list for things like that these days...

Cheers! - Nö†$®åM 19:38, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
