Personal fiction content[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a free web hosting service. Wikipedia is not a place to post personal content, host personal websites, or do things that are not directly related to adding to or improving the encyclopedia, as you did at Draft:RUI Thomas Fan. Off-topic material may be deleted at any time. This message is not meant to discourage you from editing Wikipedia but rather to remind you that the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia. Thank you. Belbury (talk) 16:18, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as Draft:Blocksworld: The Return of RUI Thomas Fan, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please do not create, maintain or restore hoaxes on Wikipedia. If you are interested to know how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements already in Wikipedia – and, if possible, correct them. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Continued disruption will be met with sanctions, which could include a block from editing. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:33, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, RUI Thomas,
If you continue to create hoax articles, your account will be blocked. Please become a productive editor that writes and edits about actual, existing, factual subjects, not imaginary ones. Liz Read! Talk! 01:35, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:RUI Thomas Fan.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:RUI Thomas Fan.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. TheWikiToby (talk) 22:06, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:RUI Thomas Fan.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:RUI Thomas Fan.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. TheWikiToby (talk) 22:06, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Why did I got blocked?

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 10:23, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I just want to know why I got blocked? Also...

Request reason:

I don't think it's necessary... RUI Thomas Fan (talk) 19:58, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You are blocked for not being here to build an encyclopedia; In examining your contributions I agree that they do not contribute to the encyclopedia. If you are here to contribute to the encyclopedia, please tell how. 331dot (talk) 16:03, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

You know my articles will contain reliable sources later in the progress and will have fun easter eggs and templates etc. to make it stand out from other articles..

Decline reason:

Articles need reliable sources at the beginning of the process, not "later in the progress", and we've no interest in "fun easter eggs" to make articles "stand out". --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 14:59, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My pages were just drafts, not pre-published articles, and second.. I did not just mention easter eggs, I'm also talking about formatting and wikiprojects and all that creative stuff! RUI Thomas Fan (talk) 15:49, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't feel like you fully understand the reason why you're blocked. Please read these policies and essays as they may help.
TheWikiToby (talk) 17:12, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I know, but my point is that I'm just here is to be a creator.. Here, there and everywhere!
RUI Thomas Fan (talk) 17:16, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You say "I know" as if you've already read all of the links, but you clearly haven't. Again, read what Wikipedia is not.
"Wikipedia is not a place to publish your own thoughts and analyses or new information. . . If you or a friend invented a drinking game, a new type of dance move, or even the word frindle, it is not notable enough to be given an article until multiple, independent, and reliable secondary sources report on it. And Wikipedia is certainly not for things made up one day."
Plus, the draft you were creating was a hoax, something that does not exist. We can't have that here.
"Do not create hoaxes on Wikipedia. Doing so would damage Wikipedia and your reputation. A hoax is an attempt to trick an audience into believing that something false is real. Since Wikipedia is an "encyclopedia anyone can edit", it has been abused to create hoaxes."
Overall, your contributions do not make it seem like you are here to build an encyclopedia, one of the five pillars of Wikipedia's purpose.
"Wikipedia is not a soapbox, an advertising platform, a social network, a vanity press, an experiment in anarchy or democracy, an indiscriminate collection of information, nor a web directory."
Plus, you're also misusing the system to appeal blocks.
"Don't ask questions within your unblock request; that's reserved to explain why you will not be a problem to the project, not to request clarifications about policy. Before requesting to be unblocked, you can ask the administrators that blocked you any clarification about their actions, and they're expected to answer them, though first you have to read the policies they have linked as the reason for the block."
Have a good day. TheWikiToby (talk) 17:42, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
