Inquiry at DRN[edit]

You asked at DRN, "I'd still like some advice on how to deal with an editor who keeps reverting without engaging in dialogue on the talk page." There's no fixed answer to that, but see my recommendations here. Having said that, however, I really don't see that as what has happened here. Once you posted to the article talk page, your opponent made quite a substantial reply in three posts. Regards, TransporterMan (TALK) 14:51, 12 January 2015 (UTC) (current DRN coordinator)[reply]

Thank you, TransporterMan, that's just what i was looking for. He did revert after i explicitly pointed him to the talk page. His argument was "nonsense" even after the two other editors who expressed an opinion on the matter (Cal-linux and Mmetro) shared my point of view. Anyway there's an rfc now. He invited people on the big bang theory talk page, which will skew the opinions towards notability of 73 in the big bang theory rather than the other way around, but i can handle the discussion on that. Talk:73 (number) RfC[edit]

Sorry to be a pain but it's glaringly obvious that without breaking the Talk:73 (number) RfC into separate "survey" and "discussion" sections, it's going to be impossible for anyone to determine the outcome of the RfC. Your opinion seems clear but it would be inappropriate for anyone else to formalise your desired outcome in the "survey" section so could you please do so when you have some time. Thanks. --AussieLegend () 17:04, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You're right, User:AussieLegend, thank you for notifying me of that. Please also notify the other editors if you haven't done so. Some people (on both sides) dropped their opinion but didn't engage in dialogue, so perhaps we will see more dialogue if they revisit the talk page. PizzaMan (♨♨) 17:21, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Thanks[edit]

Thanks for your comments on my arbcom candidacy - and good luck on your PhD! On the neurology and medicine articles, you probably already follow the WikiProject Medicine talk page, but in case you're looking for more articles to work on, Category:Science articles needing expert attention and its subcats are a good place to find some that are really neglected and in need of work (and unlikely to lead to an arbcom case ;) Opabinia regalis (talk) 23:46, 24 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Edits[edit]

No, I did not "completely removed my edit" nor am "trying to discourage occasional editors from contributing". The information added was copyedited for clarity and brevity. Your wording was too detailed and put too much weight on a subject that could be explained in just two sentences. ViperSnake151  Talk  03:44, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't see that some of it was left in because i didn't expect it where it was. Why not give this Windows 10 version it's own heading, ViperSnake151? PizzaMan (♨♨) 04:46, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It does not need its own heading no matter how much you insist. It is merely an OEM-only version of Home which designates participation in a Microsoft program. ViperSnake151  Talk  15:06, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
