NHL Captains & Alternate Captains[edit]

Noticed you're not the only one having trouble getting Chris Kunitz properly recognized on wiki as an alternate captain of the Penguins. Even though there's a source available from the Pens official twitter. I wish people would do a proper double check. --SmoothOperator88 (talk) 03:31, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I agree. Not sure why this is so difficult. Pens Through My Lens (talk) 01:03, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The Penguins official website does not list him with an A. GoodDay (talk) 01:37, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that can lead to confusion and their site should be updated. As SmoothOperator88 mentioned it was announced by the Pens official twitter and has also been reported numerous times in the Trib (http://triblive.com/sports/penguins/3336280-74/penguins-kunitz-game#axzz2Oo58MsCd http://triblive.com/sports/penguins/3356953-74/penguins-malkin-center#axzz2Oo58MsCd) that Kunitz and Orpik would share the A this season. Pens Through My Lens (talk) 04:58, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
We'll know for certain, when Malkin returns. GoodDay (talk) 13:20, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It was already known. This photo is from Pens vs Devils 2-Feb-2013 when Malkin and Orpik were both playing and Kunitz wore the A. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-GF2F-AKXPFo/UQ3SvfmrHRI/AAAAAAAAa6o/yKQi9HkL67s/s1015/DSC00584.JPG. Pens Through My Lens (talk) 20:10, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I sent a request to the Penguins and they have updated their website. Pens Through My Lens (talk) 20:49, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Photo[edit]

Hi

I'm from wp.fr and fan of Pens (and of course I noticed your beautiful pics). I've worked a lot on Dave Burrows. Do you have a photo of him during the last game on the igloo? --TaraO (talk) 21:40, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and thanks! I have Burrows in a few shots but unfortunately none of them are very good. Check them out and if any look useful to you, feel free to use them or I can put them on Commons. - Burrows 1 Burrows 2 Burrows 3 Burrows 4 Pens Through My Lens (talk) 07:32, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi
The first one will be good for me! Even if it is not perfect, it's better than nothing. Can you put it on commons ? Thanks a lot !!! (I think your picture of Talbot is great (see :D). --TaraO (talk) 08:23, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Done! And thanks again. I really like that shot of Max, too.
Hello, the photo is on the article, and I'll try the GA for it soon. Do you have anything for Ron Stackhouse ? Great game of the Pens yesterday ! --TaraO (talk) 09:01, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I updated Ron Stackhouse with what I have. Let me know if you need anyone else. Pens Through My Lens (talk) 19:32, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That's is wonderfull ! thx and Lets Go Pens--TaraO (talk) 20:18, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Just wanted to thank you for your recent contributions, specifically the photos you've been adding to hockey player bios. Very constructive. Freshfighter9talk 10:15, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the feedback. Pens Through My Lens (talk) 18:11, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request[edit]

Do you think you could upload a better picture to the Phil Kessel wikipage? I personally think that the current closeup of his face is terrible, and would love to see one of him shooting or skating. P.S I'm a huge fan of your NHL photos, they're amazing Doug "Killer" Gilmour (talk) 22:36, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten any good shots of Phil in the two games that I've seen him. Pens Through My Lens (talk) 20:50, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

re: Jarome Iginla[edit]

Hey, no worries! My personal rule for active players is that I will update the infobox image to match the current team where possible, then revert to best known team when the player retires. As soon as the trade happened, I figured you'd have a new image up relatively fast. Though yeah, I did want to reincorporate the original, since it was one I took specifically to get a profile shot. Cheers! Resolute 14:16, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Photos[edit]

Just saw you added some newer photos to some Penguins players (and probably others, I haven't looked). Want to say thanks for doing that, they are really great photos and it's awesome that someone is going through the effort to add them. Really makes the associated articles that much better. Kaiser matias (talk) 21:28, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey thanks! I'm always glad to help support wiki and hockey, and I love that the photos can do more than just take up space on my drive. It's great to have the work appreciated as well. Let's hope we get some more great Pens photos in these playoffs! Pens Through My Lens (talk) 04:11, 17 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wonderful photos![edit]

Fellow Pens fan here. You've done great things with all the new images you took at their games. Love all the photos. I noticed you put up a new image for P.K. Subban, but that got me thinking. I have a request from you. Do you, by any chance, happen to have a good shot of Shea Weber in a Montreal Canadiens uniform? I'm not just an editor of Penguins, so I thought it'd be nice to get one of him on his page after Subban's was updated, but there are none on Commons, which kinda surprises me. If you do not, can you try to get one for me in the upcoming season? I'm from northwest PA so it's kinda hard to get over there, let alone get good photos. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 20:58, 4 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid that's a no go on the Weber pic. Haven't been to a Habs game the last couple of seasons. I'll definitely keep an eye out for him next season. Pens Through My Lens (talk) 20:12, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It was especially that one, because Weber is a GA. Another example would be Milan Lucic, if you see the Pens play the Oilers do your best to get a good shot of him! dannymusiceditor Speak up! 19:29, 9 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a good picture of him in the ECF last year? If so, can you upload one and categorize it accordingly? 2607:FCC8:9E83:F900:219A:D89F:FD8C:25D (talk) 15:02, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Photos[edit]

Hey! Just wanted to pop by and say your photos are amazing! I saw the one you put for Tristan Jarry and I was like, there is no way they took that by themselves! It is so good! Anyways, have a good day! HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 04:50, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, thanks! I got a little lucky (I guess) to be able to shoot both of the Pens backup goalies on my last trip. Got so many great pics of Jarry!Pens Through My Lens (talk) 14:46, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Auston Matthews[edit]

Hey! I saw you updated some of the Toronto maple leafs photos, thanks for that some were really outdated. I was wondering if you had any updated photos of Matthews in a Leafs uniform because it would be nice for his photo to be current. Thanks,

HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 09:39, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I uploaded one photo of Matthews but it's a shot from the side. I wasn't able to get any really good shots of him but I'll go back through what I have.Pens Through My Lens (talk) 14:49, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hey,

Thanks again for all the nice photos you're posting. I just want to mention that a new user pointed out the recent photo you posted to Nick Leddy [1] might be Chris Wagner. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 03:55, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I got it renamed and moved over to the correct page.Pens Through My Lens (talk) 19:47, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
