I've seen you did some replies on [Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Metroid Prime|my Metroid Prime FAC]]... can you check the article to see if anything is needed or you can support the nom? igordebraga 00:42, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for doing that. It looks good, but next time will you let me know first?--Playstationdude 12:52, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Actually, I'm not as bothered by the deletions any longer.

I saw how that other user said there wasn't much hope of improving them to Wikipedia's quality standards. Well okay, if nothing can be done, it'll cause wet eyes, but it must be done. What I'm still upset about is that he won't explain what is wrong with the articles in South Park Wiki. He said that they were "pretty terrible, even for a fan wiki's standards". Since I created and re-sculpted a large portion of them, I think I deserve to be informed of why they're so "terrible". By the way, keep responding on my talkpage; I like getting messages, even if I don't like the subjects. Wilhelmina Will 18:59, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Besides, the plots of those episodes are worded similarly to the style used in "Homer's Phobia", so the only thing that could be wrong with them is that not a lot of background information on the articles has been given. Well, it's darn hard to find a site which gives that kind of info; I've been trying for weeks now! Wilhelmina Will 02:59, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

OoT

Hi. Why did you change the refs in the story section. The cite video game template is used in many FA articles like FFVIII. The Prince 14:14, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

It's called "short-form refs", or "short footnotes". If you'll look at Donkey Kong (video game), you'll see that the long-form ref for a book is located in the references section, and page references are called with a short-form ref. It's the same idea here. I use Cite video game in the references section, then each time I use a quote, I don't clutter up the footnotes repeating the entire reference information. Warhawk

Hey, User:Reginmund is trying to do the same thing that I did with moving Warhawk (PlayStation 3 game) to Warhawk, but doing it with War hawk. Can you back me up on his talk page and tell him why he can't do this.--Playstationdude 23:01, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

Looks like he just got blocked, so I guess I don't need to do anything. Pagrashtak 23:59, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

Userbox

Thank you SO much !! That is one of those things I've had hanging around since my newbie days, and never bothered to fix. Now, as soon as I get a free moment, I'll deal with it -- so kind of you to let me know!! I think I may have been Wiki's all-time clueless newbie when I was new, seriously abusing the helpme template :-) SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:07, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

uh, oh, LOL. I can't make it work. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:09, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
Really? Are you putting ? It's working for me in preview. Pagrashtak 19:12, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
Got it:[1]. I wasn't even using a Userbox; I'm dumber than I look :-) Thanks again! SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:17, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Barnstar for your dedication to FAC/FAR

The Barnstar of Diligence
I award you the Barnstar of Diligence for your steady dedication to helping improve Wiki's finest articles at featured article candidates and featured article review, and the extra effort you put in to help restore several articles on the citations list. Excellent efforts always! Best regards, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 02:24, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
Kudos for your work here. Ceoil 11:42, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

unpiping

Pagrashtak—Good move to do that in the FA Criteria. I was never happy with those question-marks. In the same vein, I wonder why "Manual of Style", as it used to be there, has been piped into "style guidelines". It would be preferable to use the actual name, surely? If you agree, do you feel like continuing the unpiping? Tony (talk) 14:54, 28 October 2007 (UTC) PS I see from your user page that you're an advanced organist (pipe organ, I presume); that's how I made much of my living for the whole of the 1990s, and I'm missing it since leaving music for ... words. Tony (talk) 14:56, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

I was indeed a church organist and choral conductor—a serious, paid, part-time job to supplement my part-time academic work during that period. It was nice to have a ready-made audience of 300–500 people every Sunday, plus the obligatory weddings, and the funerals that sometimes meant a lot (people seem to rise to their best on those occasions—I was privy to extraordinary things). My great musical irony is that I adore church music (esp. that of Bach), but am fundamentally at odds with the ideology. Since giving up my musical career to become a research consultant, mainly in the sciences, I listen and think, but don't play. Feeling pangs of nostalgia now about playing. Tony (talk) 01:53, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
The congregation was extremely conservative, and probably nursed suspicions that I'm not a christian and don't fall into their nice neat categories of rectitude. The clergyman of this protestant church was an intellectual of extraordinary insight and vision, so that even I would turn to listen to his sermons. But he was succeeded by the very opposite, who gradually got rid of all staff—eventually me too. In any case, it was the right time for me to go, after 10 years. I wonder whether I'll ever play again; not if I'm going to be fussy about money, because jobs like that are few, and I earn too much in my new career to bother. As a volunteer, possibly, if the organ were good, which it wasn't at that place. Mixed bag. Do you edit musical articles? Tony (talk) 14:19, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Development for Minish Cap?

Hello. I'm trying to get The Minish Cap article to GA—I've modified the content and am about to get the article fully referenced. I was wondering whether you could help me build a "development" section for it? I'm having trouble finding the information and am not sure about these sections (all the Fire Emblem articles that I've worked on don't have any info on their development). I contacted you since I figured that you're an experienced user—especially with Zelda articles. Thanks. Ashnard Talk Contribs 14:57, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for that; I'll try to get the rest of the references now. I'll check with you first to see if the article's okay before I nominate for GA, if that's alright. Ashnard Talk Contribs 17:41, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
I've finished adding references now. I feel really audacious asking this, but could you please check for any errors/copyedit before I nominate for GA? You don't have to, obviously. As for the publisher/work thing, I'll make sure that I get them all changed to publisher. Thanks. Ashnard Talk Contribs 18:39, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
GA passed! Thanks for the help. :-) Ashnard Talk Contribs 11:36, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Cheers. Since doing a few GAs, I have wondered whether I could get an article to FA, but I haven't had any time to attempt one with my school work and everything. I can't find any development information for any of the Fire Emblem articles, so for this reason alone none of them could achieve FA. Hopefully, I will attempt one in the near future—I just need to find an appropriate article. Ashnard Talk Contribs 13:46, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for this, I thought there should be an infobox somewhere but couldn't find one. --Rodhullandemu (talk - contribs) 23:10, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Hi Pagrashtak, thank you for your advice on the images - I have responded with a question. Basically, I have removed the stamp image, but would appreciate some clarification on what to do with the POTC image. Neil  09:39, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the feedback. Neil  14:22, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

I've tried to correct the article according to your remarks. Do you think it looks OK now? Cheers, Kkrystian 16:13, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Re: Short ref clarification

For your clarification I am truly grateful. :-) Thanks for your help. --FactotEm 16:20, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

your sig

Oh my goodness - I am very sorry - it was definitely an accident. I was backspacing, meaning to correct my own typo, and the cursor had moved to the wrong place. I saw it, checked too quickly and thought I had only erased a few characters from your name and replaced them - but obviously didn't check carefully enough (clearly should have done "check changes"). Apologies - and thanks for letting me know - I'll be more careful. Meanwhile, I hope the disruption we both were commenting on ends. Nice to meet you - although would have preferred different circumstances all around! Tvoz |talk 15:50, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Miracle at the Vistula

You can safely delete the image, I uploaded it to commons with the details provided. //Halibutt 14:47, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

If you don't provide a link to the image, I can't tell to what you refer. Pagrashtak 14:49, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Short refs

I like what you did at SNES, and I am planning on keeping the technique in mind for other articles, but why not link from the short to long forms? Anomie 22:33, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

VG Infoxbox

Go ahead. I'd copy the last few comments over (Call of Duty stuff) because the last post in that lot only happened a few minutes before the archiving. - X201 16:12, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Re:broken refs

Don't worry about the broken refs, I will just hide reflist if the refs appear unsightly. Eventually, the refs will be filled in and completed. Cheers. Hydrogen Iodide (HI!) 22:51, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Re: Tuck

Good call! Thanks for catching it, I've fixed it. Dylan 15:17, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

FA: Animaniacs

Pagrashtak,
A while ago you posted some comments on the Animaniacs featured article candiacy page, and I would appreciate it if you could check the article again to see if your issues with the article have been properly addressed.
Thanks very much, Gak Blimby 20:30, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Hello. I've added a new image per your concerns at the FAC for the above article. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 22:04, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, but I didn't upload that image. I know that the title isn't exactly the most informative one, but there's not much I can do about it (upload another copy and delete the first?). Regards, Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 22:12, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Categories with few members

Hi, I noticed you deleted the category I made for Zelda items. I understand why you did this but is this a general wikipedia rule? I notice that is comparable in size and is even smaller. Heck, itself is extremely barren. Do you think these categories should all be deleted or should they instead be added to? I was trying to bulk up actually by adding the Zelda items, but perhaps that was a bad idea... I think there are good arguments either way. I noticed also that you left my categorization of Musical instruments from The Legend of Zelda series and Recurring weapons and items from The Legend of Zelda series both under . Was this purposeful? By your logic I'd have thought they didn't belong here either... Sorry to be a pest! :) Thibbs 03:23, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

So Category:Nintendo items should probably be removed from Musical instruments from The Legend of Zelda series and Recurring weapons and items from The Legend of Zelda series also then, yes? Thibbs 15:22, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

DO NOT STALK MY PAGE

Do not stalk my page you person I don't know who is possibly uneducated and have nothing better to do. Leranedo 05:53, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm done

I also tried to make the point here, but you can see the reply I got. I guess the carrot isn't working, which is too bad. Tvoz |talk 06:28, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Another wiki

Maybe you already know, but the site here is a wiki specifically about the Command and Conquer series. You might try getting putting to put their gamecruft there instead of on Wikipedia. Friday (talk) 19:31, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Warcruft (ha!)

In fact I did, I didn't know about that other one. What are the benefits of using afd2 template? Judgesurreal777 (talk) 15:42, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages

Link is the main character of The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages. He is a fictional character, the protagonist of Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda video game series. Created by Shigeru Miyamoto, The Legend of Zelda is one of Nintendo's flagship game franchises, which sold over 47 million copies worldwide as of 2007.[1] The series' enduring popularity has led to many incarnations of The Legend of Zelda story and of Link himself; the character's first appearance was in the 1986 game The Legend of Zelda. Link has been featured in other video games from Nintendo, including its merchandising, comic books, and a television program. Link was awarded with a star on the Walk of Game in 2005, alongside Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog. This is notable and needs to be cited with a reliable source in the article. Thanks. Turd the Borg (talk) 17:40, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

This needs to be cited with a reliable source. Some people might challenge the idea that's it's really Link who is the game. Turd the Borg (talk) 17:43, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
I suppose I could have put the tag at the first mention of Link; the result would have been the same. It's just clearer this way to see what's unsourced. Turd the Borg (talk) 17:45, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
I'm gonna go out on a limb and call that cite request patent nonsense; when taken in context with your other actions on the page, TtB, it doesn't look so good at all. – Luna Santin (talk) 18:03, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Sorry

Sorry for the disruptive move I made recently. I just think that The Legend of Zelda is most commonly referred to as the series as a whole. I think it should redirect to a disambiguation page, and not a dab page, as you suggest. It can refer to either. Is there something I should know regarding WP:MOS? Maser (Talk!) 07:50, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Ohh!!! I get it! :) Why don't we make the undabbed page a dabbed one? Maser (Talk!) 07:55, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
What was disruptive about the moove I made? Maser (Talk!) 07:56, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Not that it was disruptive or anything, but before we make big edits like a page move, it should be discussed on the article's talk page to gather consensus. There, I just answered my own question. Maser (Talk!) 07:59, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Oh, sorry. Not that I always assume bad faith or anything, it's just that I feel useless to Wikipedia. Maser (Talk!) 08:02, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Pagrashtak, is there any article you know of that I can offer extra assistance with in the Zelda WikiProject? Maser (Talk!) 08:06, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Deleted template

I chose you as the person to discuss this issue because you made the statement that is the source of my confusion...

At Wikipedia:Templates for deletion/Log/2007 May 6#Template:Flphoto, you stated "we will only delete the tag after the images have been dealt with", yet there are more than 50 images that are linked to this (now deleted) template. What happened? Shouldn't all of these images been tagged, or discussed? Right now, none of them have any rationale, and BetaCommandBot is likely to target them all eventually. Horologium t-c 13:55, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

I would have modified the template to make it clear it was not a valid tag and added Di-no license or something similar to the template, forcing the images to be properly tagged within seven days or deleted. With that method, the tag would be unused in a week. Deleting the tag may have much the same effect—BetaCommandBot will tag the images, and they should either comply within a week or be deleted. If you want, you could ask the deleting admin AGK to temporarily restore the template with a note like I've mentioned until the images have been dealt with. Pagrashtak 14:43, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
