I don't believe this will be deleted, but I don't think it is public domain either. -- malo (tlk) (cntrbtns) 20:45, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

notability of Conklin Guitars[edit]

I noticed you removed the proposed deletion tags at Conklin Guitars. Why do you think the store is notable enough to merit mention in an encyclopedia? You might review WP:CORP to see if you can justify it with that. Wikipedia's not really a free phone book or advertising service, so I hope that wasn't this article's purpose.--Kchase02 T 05:18, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately I haven't been able to get an adecuate free image that represents the unique craft technique used by Conklin, I'll try to add more information to make the importance clearer. I do have to admit that it's not a famous brand, but it has a reputation for uniqueness that I believe it's worth mentioning

A tag has been placed on Conklin Guitars, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. —Pilotguy (ptt) 02:12, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
