Tnx for yr edit of a pretty obscure article. I'm not certain that Samuel Chase went unmentioned in Mr. Matlin's AP US History course in 1962-'63, but (unless I was distracted) that scholar (and I presume Morrisson and Commanger's textbook) softpedalled at least the earlier Chase. I had to look up which extravagant denomination of US currency Sam'n's face is on, but my opinion that the difference in given name was not the fault of my failing memory turns out to be pleasingly correct. (Whether my opinion was well founded is of course of no significance... .)

toggle ref check[edit]
Hello, just a note to say that User:Lingzhi2/reviewsourcecheck has been update to add the option to toggle it on or off.
The installed script will add a tab to the drop-down tab at the top, located between the 'watchlist star' and the search box (using the vector.js skin). The tab toggles between "Hide ref check" and "Show ref check" with displaying the errors as the default option. You may need to edit Special:MyPage/common.js and change User:Lingzhi/reviewsourcecheck to User:Lingzhi2/reviewsourcecheck (add the "2" after User:Lingzhi). - Sorry to bother you again. After the addition of a toggle option in the tab atop the page, one editor requested a revised version in which the toggle link appears in the "Tools" section of the page's left sidebar. So now there are two versions of this tool. If you prefer the links in the Toolbar section on the side, the slightly altered script is named User:Lingzhi2/reviewsourcecheck-sb.js (just add "-sb" before the ".js"). Finally, both versions should now also store the page state (whether reference errors/warnings are "hidden" or "shown"). The state persists between page loads and between the browser closing and reopening (unless cleared by the user, for example by deleting data in your browser's cache etc.). I just wanted to say thanks for being cool with everything :)
If you haven;t already seen it, this is quite a good guide Wikipedia:How_to_create_and_manage_a_good_lead_section
I have found that in general the guidelines are just that. You will find many places where the guidelines are ignored, sometimes by whole groups of wikipedians, even those that have their own MoS can be quite ascerbic in not adhering to them, and don't hold back in rdefence of "their" articles and styles. One example is bold text. It is often used in TV show cast lists, but it should not be. When an article comes up to GA or FA, that sort of thing is removed. Until then, you wil find it al over the place, some changes will be left, some reverted, some battled over - it can get silly. THe last one I pointed out that their own MOS says "no", but they told me to go away - I have benn called a grammar Nazi, and in the example I just gave, I believe I was called "autistic" or "OCD" or something.

- If you add up the states (plus NE and ME congressional districts) where Biden has at least a two-point margin, he has 249 EVs. The state where he has the next largest margin is PA (which he's currently winning by two points); add that he gets to 269.
