Joseph Seconda[edit]

If you think the translation was "pretty good", you probably haven't read the first sentence of the "Life" section, where "beider Eltern", meaning "the parents of both" was turned into "both parents", which is clearly different. This needs to be fixed from the German text (or even more properly, from its sources), not by copyediting what is there without checking. Copyediting only hides the problems instead of addressing them. —Kusma (talk) 13:21, 18 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that, that was one of my first actual edits and I didn't have much of an idea of what I was supposed to be doing. Oodlescanoodles (talk) 14:41, 18 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. It takes a while to learn Wikipedia (I've been here forever and still discover things that are different from my expectations). Happy editing, —Kusma (talk) 16:53, 18 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

My mistake[edit]

I rolled back a message here because I must have hit a revert button at nearly the same time that you did. Sorry. Thought I should post this for clarification. Happy editing. Donner60 (talk) 04:20, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

All good, I was confused as to why my edit was being rolled back. Oodlescanoodles (talk) 04:23, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
