Nazi Germany/Deutsches Reich[edit]

Thank you for your contributions. However, the changes you've made have since been changed back, partly because they were breaking some of the templates in use on the articles, and partly because the Nazi Germany/Third Reich/Germany issue has been a source of contention in the past. If you believe there's a problem with referring to Germany in the run-up to and during the Second World War as "Nazi Germany", it might be best to raise your concerns on the article talk-pages or at WT:MILHIST (a more general venue). All the best, EyeSerenetalk 09:36, 1 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your considered response. You make some good points; the issue of using "Nazi" as a general description is regularly brought up on the military history project talkpage, and we encourage all editors to be as precise as possible (recent example from the archives here).
Do you mind if I post some of your message at Milhist? If we're using the wrong flags or imprecise terminology, I think it should be more widely discussed. Of course, it may be that your suggestions won't be supported, but I believe they are worth examining. All the best, EyeSerenetalk 08:45, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
