Re:Exorcism of Roland Doe[edit]

Dear User:Odiseo Greifo Nogales, hello! Thanks for the message on my talk page. First of all, do you plan to translate the article for Spanish Wikipedia or for your own self? There is a larger version of the article here. I hope this helps. With regards, AnupamTalk 22:25, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Anupam, thanks for answer me so quickly. Yes, I want to translate this article for Spanish Wikipedia and I don´t know if I have to create a new article since the begining or there is a way to translate it from the article which already exist. I was reading about the issue in the link you sent me, I didn´t know that page -Conservapedia- that seems to be very interesting. For some reason you realize I am a Christian and I found very nice the Wikiproject Christianity, but first I think I must learn about the basic things to use Wikipedia before get into the Christian group.--Odiseo Greifo Nogales (talk) 05:16, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome! Do you have an account at Spanish Wikipedia? If not you can create it there and start the article! If you know Spanish, it would probably be better to translate the article manually. If not, there are tools like Google Translate that you can use to assist you. That is exciting you are beginning as an editor at Wikipedia. If you need anything, please feel free to let me know! I hope this helps! With regards, AnupamTalk 18:25, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Anupam, yes, I have an account at spanish wikipedia and I´m from Argentina so I speak spanish. I will try to create a new article in spanish using the same title (but in spanish: El Exorcismo de Roland Doe) and then I will try to link it in the original english article created by you. Thank you, and if I have any doubt I will let you know.--Odiseo Greifo Nogales (talk) 04:36, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds great! Let me know when the article is complete because I would like to read it! Also, the original article was titled "Robbie Mannheim" because it included much more information on his early life, etc. I hope this helps. With regards, AnupamTalk 04:41, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Anupam, I already finish my article "El exorcismo de Roland Doe" in spanish. I invite you to see it (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_exorcismo_de_Ronald_Doe) and please tell me what you think about it... I´m late because I was busy on other issues. The only difficult I had was I couldn´t link both pages (english/spanish; yours and mine), I did it with my article but I couldn´t in your english article. Also, if you search: (El exorcismo de Roland Doe) in Google you will find nothing. Maybe It´s just a normal delay of wikipedia, I don´t know. So well... I´ll be waiting for your answer!!--Odiseo Greifo Nogales (talk) 04:56, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wow! That looks great! I'm glad that my work has been translated into Spanish. Over the years, it looks like some information has been added and deleted from the article but the base version is available at this link. Some of it might be useful for your Spanish article. I just tried to link your article to the English one but was unsuccessful. Perhaps you could try the old way by adding the interwiki [[es:El exorcismo de Ronald Doe]] at the bottom of the English article? By the way, you might be interested in translating the article about George Lukins, in addition to the others in the See also section. I hope this helps. With regards, AnupamTalk 05:46, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Anupam, I tried linking the articles by the "old way" that you indicated me and I got it, it´s done. I didn´t know about the original article that you send me (link), I have not read it yet but it seems to be very interesting and complete and I will use it to add information to my spanish article. Yes, I would like to translate the G. Lukins article, I will do it when I have time. Thank you so much for everything.--Odiseo Greifo Nogales (talk) 06:24, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dear User:Odiseo Greifo Nogales, thank you for your kind comments. I was glad to defend the article and am happy that individuals like you found it to be useful. I just read the version you uploaded on Spanish Wikipedia and was happy to see your new additions. Great job! Also, I wish you and yours a most Happy Easter! With regards, AnupamTalk 00:33, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Anupam, have a Happy Easter you too!!! just one last favor, if you don´t mind, I would like to you change the title of my article because I don´t know how. If you can: great, if you don´t, just tell me how and I will try. I made a mistake because I wrote it wrong, I wrote (Ronald) and it is (Roland). The title must be (El exorcismo de Roland Doe. I figure you won´t have the problem I have (for being new) because of your rank in wikipedia. Thank you. --Odiseo Greifo Nogales (talk) 01:44, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dear User:Odiseo Greifo Nogales, do not worry about asking for help. I am glad to help a friendly beginner like yourself. Since I do not have an account on Spanish Wikipedia, I will not be able to rename the article although I can tell you how to do so (since I have moved articles on English Wikipedia). Also, it might be better to use "Roland Doe" or "Robbie Mannheim" as the title of your page since the article covers more than just the exorcism. When I first created the article, it was titled "Robbie Mannheim" before someone else moved it. In Spanish Wikipedia, next to the Ver historial button will be a arrow that you can click on. When you click on it, there will be a button that says Mover. When you click on that button, you can type in the new title of the page and then move it. If you need some pictures to help illustrate my words, you can click on Ayuda:Cómo cambiar el nombre de una página. I hope this helps. Blessings, AnupamTalk 03:31, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, my friend, but that´s the problem!!! We don´t have the the arrow to click on in the spanish wikipedia so I don´t know. --Odiseo Greifo Nogales (talk) 18:10, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The ability to move pages probably has something to do with how long you've been a member of that Wiki and how many contributions you've made. If you gain more contributions, you'll probably notice that option eventually. Alternatively, you can ask a more experienced user at Spanish Wikipedia to move the article for you. I hope this helps! With regards, AnupamTalk 18:18, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it's already done!!! I asked it in wikipedia Café. Thank you.--Odiseo Greifo Nogales (talk) 02:14, 30 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
