Phoeurng Sackona[edit]

In any case, I believe that the two variants are alternate transcriptions (see Romanization of Khmer) and it's not the case that one or the other is "correct" or "incorrect". If you believe otherwise, you can make your case at requested moves. (edit conflict) Hmm, the official website of the Ministry of Culture also uses the other spelling; this has certain weight. I now think that the article should be moved to the title Phoeurng Sackona. But 1) moving the article is not done by manually copying the article text; rather, to preserve the article history, one should use the move function; and 2) a reference needs to preserve the title of the original page. - OK, thanks. The sound R in Khmer, as in all South-Asian languages, is almost mute or close to L. For a Khmer speaker CK and K are the same sounds. The previous spelling is a clear spelling error of a Khmer journalist or a person charged with relations with journalists at the Ministry.
