This page in a nutshell[edit]

Er, what the people who irreverently change the nutshell don't realise is that it's a quote.[1] :-) Giacomo, feel free to edit war to keep the lustre of your gem intact! Bishonen | talk 20:03, 3 May 2011 (UTC).[reply]

We, the people who copy-edit the nutshell are well aware of the original authorship of the passage in question, although admittedly we may not have been fully aware at the time when we first encountered the grammatical oversight. At the present time and after much deliberation, we do not anticipate any objections by the copyright holder, who has released the sentence under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License and has at many times in the past expressed his propensity to leave attention to minor details of grammar to those who are thusly inclined. Mrs Bishonen is advised reminded to set a good example to her bestiary and abstain from further activities that could reasonably be regarded as the effusion of an excessive attachment to a specific textual reading of the page. For the Comity! Hans Adler 21:05, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Reminding little 'shonen? [Bishzilla picks up the little Hans and looks him grimly in the eyes. Hans faints with terror. 'Zilla smiles approvingly and stuffs him in her pocket. ] Alright already! And don't say "propensity" again! bishzilla ROARR!! 12:36, 4 May 2011 (UTC).[reply]
Mrs Bishonen? ... Awwww man ... was hoping I still had a shot at that. :( — Ched :  ?  20:06, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I know what you mean. Not entirely sure about the "Mrs" though; I merely picked it up from Giano. Hans Adler 21:56, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Giano's (great great etc) aunt (the late), surely? She will call me mrs. I think she just feels the bourgeois sound of it suits. Little 'shonen 22:31, 4 May 2011 (UTC).[reply]

I would like to explain how much I like this page, but to do so would require a very thorough and detailed examination, and that will take a lot of thought and time. I expect to post my appreciation here in approximately seventeen years. --Tryptofish (talk) 16:10, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Templatecruft[edit]

Thanks for adorning a couple of sentences with several book-length templates, and, uh, thanks for removing them again. Special thanks go to sekrit 110.139.190.67 for restoring the lost permalink. Bishonen | talk 12:18, 4 May 2011 (UTC).[reply]

I wonder what Newyorkbrad thinks of this page?[edit]

I've just asked him here: [2] Robofish (talk) 22:25, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Naturally, I'll leave it to him to answer that, but I'll note (in case you are concerned that he might be unhappy about it) that I became aware of it because he, himself, linked to it in a comment he made at another page (I think the PC closure, if memory serves), so clearly he knows about it, and presumably he isn't too put off by it. --Tryptofish (talk) 22:30, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I pointed Brad to the essay right away, in fact two minutes after I created it.[3] [4] [5]. If he had taken noticable offense, I assure you I would have deleted it post haste (before there were all those improvements by other users). A reaction of "bemusement" sounds ok to me, though. Do him good. :-) Bishonen | talk 11:54, 27 May 2011 (UTC).[reply]
