What exactly do you need help with? Do you understand the problems with promotional language? Danger (talk) 19:38, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
When you are replying to a previous post, you should type your words below that post, like I've done here. That keeps conversations in order.
Now, the thing to remember is that we are writing an encyclopedia, so your writing should be informative to a person who isn't familiar with the subject and will never visit the center. Take the second sentence for example: "Although the Taego Order aims to sustain historical traditions and to preserve the original teachings handed down from the Buddha, a key concern is to adapt to changing times and to stay current with that which connects to the people." This makes the organization sound nice, but is doesn't give me any useful information because nearly every organization ever both preserves tradition and adapts to the present. So it's promotional writing, not informative writing, and not the kind of writing appropriate for an encyclopedia. You could say instead something like "The Taego order, founded by X, has W, Y, and Z characteristics. (Like being a the second largest school, allowing priests to marry, etc. (But remember that this article is about the Zen Center, not Taego in general, so you should limit the amount of general information about Taego; readers could just go read the Taego article instead for that.))
Also read the notice I posted below. Everything you add to Wikipedia, aside from short, well-marked quotations, must be entirely in your own words. --Danger (talk) 02:56, 22 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please excuse my being spastic. I appreciate your help. 68.192.189.249 (talk) 03:26, 22 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

{{help me}}How do I know when I am in compliance? and Who is responsible for removing those pesky messages on the top of my article? Myongahn (talk) 10:45, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You can always ask for feedback at WP:RFF. The template banners are there to alert WP editors who like to copyedit articles. When such an editor has resolved a templated problem, (s)he will remove the template. Please don't call the article your "own" - it will annoy some editors - once you hit "save", you have given away all rights to the text you have added - see WP:OWN - you are just the "creator" or "original author".  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:02, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, Myongahn, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one of your contributions does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
