Sebacean article restored into userspace[edit]

As noted at Talk:Farscape, I have restored your version of the Sebacean article. Because I have concerns that it is still a speedy-delete candidate, I have restored it into userspace at User:Misterandersen/Sebacean. This will protect it from speedy deletion by other editors. I encourage you to work with editors at the Farscape article and Wikipedia:Wikiproject Television to bring the article up to standards or include the material into the Farscape article. —C.Fred (talk) 16:42, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I made a few minor tweaks to this page. While this page is in userspace (as opposed to the main article space) it should not appear in regular categories, so I have commented-out the bits at the end that do this. If you have any difficulty undoing this later on, just ask; I or many others can help you with this. --Jack Merridew 07:58, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Jazinda[edit]

A tag has been placed on Jazinda requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 23:31, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

October 2008[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Jazinda. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 01:15, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're not an admin, you're just a busy body too fast on the trigger for a page that doesn't meet any of the speedy deletion criteria. Misterandersen (talk) 03:06, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't matter if I'm an admin or not, regular editors have the ability to warn just as much as admins. Either way, once an article is created, it is immediately applicable to Wikipedia's notability guidelines. If you want to finish an article before it's applicable to these guidelines, please use the sandbox. Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 03:11, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Check those guidelines. I think less than five minutes is covered under their "don't be too hasty" recommendation.

Please do not attack other contributors, as you did with this edit to User talk:Rwiggum. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 03:11, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I stand by my point that he acted far too quickly and in abeyance of the guidelines he's meant to be following AND should have tried talking first before dropping tags on things. Misterandersen (talk) 03:22, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Femizonia.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Femizonia.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 19:52, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Guilded Age has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article is not based on reliable secondary sources (WP:V). It does not show where this topic has received significant coverage, so does not meet the general notability guideline for inclusion (WP:V). If the only information available is in-universe character and plot descriptions, then it doesn't belong in an encyclopedia (WP:WAF).

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited The Monster of Peladon, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Big Finish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Notice

The article Jazinda has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline requirement nor the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (fiction) supplementary essay. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. No objection to this being redirected if anyone can think of a suitable target instead per WP:ATD. Thank you.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Orphaned non-free image File:Twoofclubs jazinda.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Twoofclubs jazinda.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:15, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Waggle Foundation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello, Misterandersen

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Teratix, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Waggle Foundation, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Teratix}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!
