Please do not add unhelpful and non-constructive information to Wikipedia, as you did to skateboard. Your edits could be considered vandalism, and they have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Steve-g 09:43, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am telling it as it was. If you don't believe it, why should I care?

I am a 57 year old Skate boarder from Southern California who invented it. I also have the first professionally made skateboard in existence made by “The Old Man” a professional surf board maker for a measly $5.00 back in the 50’s.. What do you got?

Your recent contribution(s) to Wikipedia are very much appreciated. However, you did not provide references or sources for your information. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a drive to improve the quality of Wikipedia by encouraging editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. If sources are left unreferenced, it may count as original research, which is not allowed. Can you provide in the article specific references to any books, articles, websites or other reliable sources that will allow people to verify the content in the article? You can use a citation method listed at How to cite sources. Thanks! janejellyroll 05:01, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Get real, how do cite such an undocumented occurance as I have described? My only witness is my mother whow still ia alive. i shall not quit. Go ahead and do you you must do as you think is right and as will. This is the truth. Could you document what was done in a garage? If so, how.? I don't need to research, I am the source. I'm here so do your research.

Wikipedia honestly doesn't care whether you're telling the truth or not. We're not here to publish original research but rather to write based on reliable sources. These are the content policies for Wikipedia. Your claim won't be included until there are reliable sources to back it up. --notJackhorkheimer (talk / contribs) 17:13, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to vandalise Wikipedia, as you did to skateboard, you will be blocked. Steve-g 09:09, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In case you didn't notice this page has had the disclaimer "This does not cite its references or sources" before I edited it. So your argumrent is meaningless.

While you're right that the page is weakened by not having sources, the current text is at least what has been agreed upon by consensus of the editors, whereas three different editors have found your claims questionable enough to remove them.
You should really read Wikipedia:Verifiability, although I'm not sure you will, as you don't seem to care about what Wikipedia policy is. As it says, The burden of evidence lies with the editor who adds or restores material. Any material that is challenged or likely to be challenged needs a reliable source, which should be cited in the article.
In case you do want to know what Wikipedia policy is, the welcome message I've posted up top provides a good overview. --notJackhorkheimer (talk / contribs) 18:00, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
