UsedCanada Deleted[edit]

First off, I only nominated the article for deletion. The only thing I saw even approaching "notable" was a partnership with another organization. Over half the article's length was a list plugging all of your other sites in the UsedEverwhere network. It looks like you are simply using Wikipedia to achieve notable status, and increase your viewership. If you would like to know WHY Craigslist is notable, go read its article; it is quite thorough and has far more than just a partnership with another company. My other sites? I don't own UsedEverywhere.com, haha. I've been using UsedVictoria.com for the past three years. I thought it was importnat that this goes up on Wikipedia. Ok Craigslist is up there because it's the biggest one. How about Kijiji? Does a website have to be apart of a large company to be notable? I can take the other websites off if you want. I thought it would be helpful for other users to see the different cities they are in. Sorry for the implication of ownership. It's not about "the biggest one," it's about notability. Specifically, to have a website be a legitimate article on Wikipedia, you must show how it meets any of the notability criteria. You only have to meet one of them. I would suggest, if you can show it is notable, post your proof(s) on the talk page for the UsedEverywhere article. If you can show notability, then as you recreate the various pages for the UsedEverywhere network, make sure you put something in the Discussion pages of those articles pointing to the decision made on the main page. That way you wouldn't have to fight for every page.

I am no administrator, and I do not pretend to be. All I have done is tag the article for what I saw as a violation of wikipedia policies. I am not the one who actually deleted the article, and thus cannot undo deleting the article. MasterDarksol (talk) 21:25, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
