Categories[edit]

Hi Marmel, welcome to Wikipedia. I know you haven't edited in a while, but I just wanted to let you know that I have removed two categories from your userpage as they were causing your userpage to show up in mainspace categories - which is undesirable. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I've been busy the last couple of days. I wouldn't worry too much about reading and remembering all of the guidelines. A decent synopsis is available at Wikipedia:Simplified ruleset. That covers the most important things to know when you are starting out - beyond that it is probably easier to learn by doing, reading the help files where necessary. Common sense is usually the best way forward I find.

With the entries, changes should come up in bold - although they are not always very clear with small changes. I believe that changing the skin in "my preferences" slightly alters the way that these are displaed - you may find that helpful. Learning some of the more common wiki markup, see Wikipedia:How to edit a page, may make it a bit clearer, too.

If you can remember any element of the citation, then add it - someone else will probably be able to complete it or check it. If that is not possible, I would suggest trying to locate an alternative, reputable source online. That is not possible with all subjects, but it is an option. The article's talk page may be useful in locating sources, other users may have access to resources that you do not, although the speed of response varies greatly from article to article.
