If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mehdi Rajabi Author and Scriptwriter requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://whiteravens.ijb.de/book/430. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Advice on editing[edit]

  • The copying came from more than one page, not just the one mentioned in the message above. Also, another reason that the article was unsuitable is that it was not written from a neutral point of view, as required by Wikipedia policy. For example, saying that someone "understands the language of today's youth very well" is not neutral reporting, nor is saying that someone "masterfully" depicts things. Unfortunately, there are numerous ways in which new editors acting in good faith, can find they have done something unacceptable. My advice to new editors is that it is best to start by making small improvements to existing articles, rather than creating new articles. That way any mistakes you make will be small ones, and you won't have the discouraging experience of repeatedly seeing hours of work deleted. Gradually, you will get to learn how Wikipedia works, and after a while you will know enough about what is acceptable to be able to write whole new articles without fear that they will be deleted. Over the years I have found that editors who start by making small changes to existing articles and work up from there have a far better chance of having a successful time here than those who jump right into creating new articles from the start. Conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Marajjjjj. We welcome your contributions, but since you have indicated that you have a personal connection to a person you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 10:26, 13 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

question[edit]

  • Yes, Wikipedia can be very confusing for a new editor: I remember finding it that way myself when I started here. I am sorry that your first experience of contributing to Wikipedia has been so discouraging, but I hope you won't be put off from ever contributing again, because if you do carry on it will get clearer as you gain experience. I will also give you a few bits of information which I hope may be helpful to you.
  1. You may be able to get help from other editors at Wikipedia:Teahouse. I certainly suggest at least having a look there. You can also ask for help by putting {{helpme}} on this page and posting a question underneath it. I have a feeling that the Teahouse may be better, but I don't know.
  2. Below this message I am posting a notice which contains links to various policies, guidelines, information pages, and so on. Don't try to read them all now, as there is far too much there to take in, but do have a look at any of them which seem to be relevant to your needs at the present. Of course you can also come back to them in the future if you find a need to read other parts.
  4. When you do eventually write another article, I suggest first making it as a draft which you can edit and submit for review by an experienced editor, who will either accept it as an article or else tell you what sort of improvements it needs. That way, it is unlikely that it will be deleted straight away without your having a chance to improve it. (An important exception is if there is copyright infringement. Copyright infringing text is likely to be deleted immediately, no matter what page it is in. However, provided you write in your own words, and don't copy anything from anywhere else, that will not happen.) You can see how to make a draft for submission to be reviewed at Wikipedia:Articles for creation.
  5. Copyright was the only reason that I deleted Mehdi Rajabi Author and Scriptwriter, so make sure you avoid making that mistake again.
  6. You are welcome to ask me any questions you may have. Of course I can't promise that I will be able to give you useful answers to every question, but there is a fair chance I may be able to help. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 19:42, 13 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • One more thing which I forgot to mention when I wrote the message above. You say that you don't have connection with Mehdi Rajabi, but you have uploaded photographs of him to Wikimedia Commons which you said are your own work. It is difficult to see how you can have taken those photographs if you have no connection to him, so are they your own work, or are they copies of photographs that someone else took?
