You have the right idea! Wikilinks can help readers navigate Wikipedia and learn new things. It's just important to find a balance between what needs to be linked, and what doesn't. I find this list really helpful—it says what types of terms we don't usually need to link on Wikipedia, and why. Best, Wracking talk! 06:53, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

All of your past edit summaries is only states "Added links", which did not appear to describe the change you made. Ckfasdf (talk) 07:02, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Ckfasdf Ok Sorry, i just wanted to publish the edit quickly. Macarius Ibne Mito (talk) 07:24, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Can you refrain from adding links to the article the reader is already on, such as linking Finland on Finland. I hope I don't need to explain how redundant doing so is. You may want to spend some time reading about the WP:MOS before continuing to edit given the amount of notices you have recieved about issues with your editing. Information icon Please do not use misleading edit summaries when making changes to Wikipedia pages, as you did to Battle of Kamalpur. This behavior is viewed as disruptive, and continuation may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Ckfasdf (talk) 01:28, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Do not edit war[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Md Mizanur Rahman Mizan. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:43, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Avoid overlinking[edit]

You have been cautioned before against overlinking. Adding too many internal wikilinks in a page hinders, not helps, a reader's understanding of the subject.

Link a term at most once per major section, at first occurrence. In this edit to Para Commando Brigade (Bangladesh) you linked Bangladesh Armed Forces even though it was already linked earlier in the same paragraph. Our readers are not stupid, they can remember that a term they read a third of a second ago was linked.

The other link you added in the same edit is unwise for several reasons. Someone who is reading an article with Bangladesh in the title and who has already encountered linked terms for Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Armed Forces, and Bangladesh Liberation War is bound to be sufficiently familiar with the term Bangladesh that it should not be linked. Moreover, if you link, always link to the article on the most specific topic in the text from which you link. In the sentence "The unit received National Standard from the President of Bangladesh", President of Bangladesh is more specific than Bangladesh. Just because an article about a term exists, however, that doesn't mean it should be linked to. A reader doesn't need to study an entire 3400-word article about who the president is, the history of the office, what their powers and responsibilities are, how they are elected, where they reside and work, etc., etc. to understand the sentence above or the topic Para Commando Brigade (Bangladesh). --Worldbruce (talk) 13:42, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Unsuitable topic[edit]

Unfortunately, a page you created, Md Mizanur Rahman Mizan, does not conform to some of Wikipedia's core content policies and may not be retained.

In a heated discussion with an IP editor you wrote, among other things:

Sir, If my claims needs Citation, then the article would have a citation every sentence, Mr. There wouldn’t be a Source that he has new posting so quickly, Since He is a Colonel, All The Sources I found about him was years ago after, he served for a long duration, and there was barely any reliable sources, and most of them were in Bangla, I know you will give a example about another article, But no source or reliable source has appeared yet about Md Mizanur Rahman Mizan, ...
  1. All content added to Wikipedia must be verifiable in reliable sources. The burden is on the editor who adds material to demonstrate that it is verifiable, which is most often done by adding inline citations. Basically, in this case every statement should have a citation, and any that don't shouldn't be in Wikipedia. (Various exceptions may apply to other articles, so don't charge off and start deleting every sentence that doesn't have a citation.)
  2. I've removed the unverifiable content from Md Mizanur Rahman Mizan to demonstrate the most that anyone would be allowed to say about him on Wikipedia. As you can see, there's almost nothing left, not enough to make a full and complete article.
  3. When there are barely any reliable sources about a person, and they mention that person only in passing, that's a huge red flag indicating that Wikipedia should not have a stand alone article about them.
  4. The topic of an article must have been covered at depth in multiple reliable and independent publications in order to be notable (suitable for inclusion in Wikipeida).
  5. A common mistake is to create an article about someone you know. If they are well-known or important to you, you may be blind to the fact that they are not notable.
  6. Because Md Mizanur Rahman Mizan is not notable, I've suggested that the article be deleted.

Notice

The article Md Mizanur Rahman Mizan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This colonel has received no coverage deeper than passing mentions in stories about routine events he attended such as secondary school graduations, public meetings, and school book distributions. Does not meet WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
