Hi

The en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Super_heavyweight_kickboxers now is empty. We are not keeping this class anymore since it has been used only rarely in kickboxing and is disappearing. All what it's over 207 lb, now is Heavyweight. The user https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Shaolin_Punk started cleaning up and I did help.

OK, thanks for letting me know. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 20:01, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

Tamzarian

You can say there's no proof all you want, but Tamzarian is obviously an Armenian name, even if there aren't scholarly articles documenting this simple fact. --RaffiKojian (talk) 02:22, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

I don't have to show that the creator said he was Armenian. That the name is Armenian is enough. Of course since nobody has actually written an article about the name "Tamzarian" being Armenian, I suppose you can force the removal of this simple, obvious and harmless reality from Wikipedia. Just don't say "this again?" next time someone else adds it because it's a fact that it's a *glaringly* Armenian name and to pretend we can't make that determination doesn't make any sense. --RaffiKojian (talk) 03:11, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
Oh brother. It's not a lie just because you say so. The name is as clearly Armenian as Tsambikos Papadopoulos is Greek. --RaffiKojian (talk) 08:59, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

Joe Jeanette

Hello, I have run into an editor that has erased the 166 fights that I added onto Joe Jeanette’s Wikipedia article. His name is Nightscream. I have been fighting hard to make him understand that the information came from boxrec.com, which as you know, is the OFFICIAL record keeper of boxing. They have Joe’s name listed differently as well. Basically the issue is that it is becoming an edit war and this editor is absolutely ignorant as to what boxrec even is as he asked me if it is a Wiki……I am extremely close to never editing again because of people like this who have obsessions with deleting information and keeping Wikipedia as useless as possible. Please help me keep Jennette’s record on his article, because if this can be deleted, everything from Muhammad Ali’s record to Floyd Mayweathers can and will be deleted. I contacted squared.circle.boxing as well. CaPslOcksBroKEn (talk) 19:52, 20 July 2021 (UTC)

In addition, I believe that we should add to the MOS boxing guidlines an explanation of the way I had set up Jennette’s official and unofficial records to compensate for his newspaper decisions CaPslOcksBroKEn (talk) 19:55, 20 July 2021 (UTC)

Flagicons: the rematch

I am here to ask you if you can help me out by joining me in my effort to delete all of the flagicons from the professional boxing careers that I have personally added. If you go to my user page, there is a list of 267 fighters which I have added records to. Most of them still need to have flagicons deleted so it would be helpful to have someone else on this with me. If anyone tries to protest it, link me and I will let them know that I originally added the career and am okay with this. Some lower weight active fighters are on the list so it will be a good way to begin normalizing no flagicons to all eras.CaPslOcksBroKEn (talk) 20:36, 3 September 2021 (UTC)

Issues on Boxing career of Muhammad Ali. People are now destroying all consistency within the context of an individual record. We need to come up with a conclusion for flagicons because boxing records need some sort of uniformity within themselves and across others which is completely lacking and unatainable.CaPslOcksBroKEn (talk) 22:44, 24 October 2021 (UTC)

US to U.S.

Why does being foreign change whether or not we add dots to the US in boxing records? This is just inconsistency.CaPslOcksBroKEn (talk) 19:11, 10 October 2021 (UTC)

Hi

Were you the one who altered the content from Dream Theatre's Images and Words? — Preceding unsigned comment added by DownTheDrain93 (talkcontribs) 12:52, 14 October 2021 (UTC)

Regarding Rising Force release date

Facebook may not be a reliable source, but the one speaking was Jeff Scott Soto himself, who apparently may not be reliable enough for you to change the date. Jullo (talk) 00:01, 13 November 2021 (UTC)

Mcclian

I reported the IP to ANV but no action was taken despite our warnings. I'm familiar with Mcclian, I reported him multiple times when the main account was active and I agree it's probably a sockpuppet case, so I opened an investigation at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mcclian. You have had more run-ins with him since I reported his master account nearly 6 years ago now, so I'd appreciate any input you can bring there.LM2000 (talk) 09:08, 21 December 2021 (UTC)

Flagicons

Even when I was in support of flagicons, I knew to keep quiet because I knew the only logical conclusion would be to delete flagicons. I am happy that we resolved this issue, but I am only creating this section in your talk page to make sure that the last comment you left on the wiki box project about supporters of flagicons to come back in 7 years was just a snide remark. Will we have to go through this ordeal again in the future, but with opposition?CaPslOcksBroKEn (talk) 20:35, 30 March 2022 (UTC)

Snide remark and nothing else. If anyone does come along and tries to change consensus—whether in a month, year, or seven years—I'll still be right here to argue the same points as I did in 2015. WikiProject MMA also went to great lengths (and some nasty flamewars) to get rid of their record table flagicons in 2011, and that consensus has remained in place since. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 20:45, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
Could we possibly get something started on removing flagicons from champ lists too? The Russian invasion has caused Russian fighters to relocate and Artur Beterbiev’s nationality is now listed on our source, boxrec, as Canadian…It would make these unnecessary edits go away.CaPslOcksBroKEn (talk) 15:00, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
I was just thinking about that when reading the current champions article and undefeated champions article. One wonders if there'd be a different group of editors who may be more opposed to the removal of flags from those lists, because none of them posted at the RfC. We could try, but what I'll say is—expect a different response. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 19:42, 10 May 2022 (UTC)

Boxer info box showing "0" losses

Now that we fixed the flags, can we rid this whole "0" losses redundancy in boxing info boxes now? Terence Crawford's article showing, 38 fights, 38 wins, and 29 knockouts is enough. We don't have to say 0 losses in the info box just like we don't have to say 0 no contests and 0 draws.CaPslOcksBroKEn (talk) 00:38, 1 April 2022 (UTC)

Sure, we can do that. I'll let everyone know at the Project and see what they think. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 16:08, 1 April 2022 (UTC)

Camren Bicondova

Hello, I see that you reverted my biographical info on Carmen Bicondova. If I google "Carmen Bicondova age" every single source for at least 5 pages tells me that her DOB is May 22, 1999

What can we do about this? Paulsosn (talk) 17:37, 7 April 2022 (UTC)

West Ealing Station edit reverts

Information icon Hello, I'm Mattdaviesfsic. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions (special:contributions/Mac_Dreamstate) to West Ealing railway station have been undone because they did not reference valid sources, as defined here. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. Mattdaviesfsic (talk) 04:54, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

Hi

G'day mate, we've previously bumped into each other at McLaren MP4-18, and seeing as how your edits contributed to my GA nomination passing, I'd like you to just give a read of Mercedes-Benz CLK LM, which I recently wrote. If you want something much easier, just pop over to that page's talk page & give it a rating, and I'll sort out the article myself (I think it's fine but a second opinion is never bad). Boxing matches

You recently moved Dillian Whyte vs Jermaine Franklin to Dillian Whyte vs. Jermaine Franklin, which isn't correct, as boxing matches held in UK use British English, which tends to omit the full stop after "vs".

Thanks --Tbf69 19:23, 7 February 2023 (UTC)

Please see new RfC regarding our previous conversation

I support that "vs" replace "vs." and "v" in boxing match titles.

However, to get consensus on this issue, I've opened an RfC on the issue.

Please comment and offer your opinions on it.

See: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Boxing#rfc 029C646

Thanks, --Tbf69 16:16, 8 February 2023 (UTC)

Southern Steel

Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. Please remember that information must be sourced--all you had to do was find a RS that indicated that Southern Steel was Morse's fourth studio album. Cheers. Caro7200 (talk) 22:57, 8 February 2023 (UTC)

Anthony Joshua Talk Page

There's a talk page opened up regarding Anthony Joshua being British. I have listed the statements of facts and why it supports changing it. Since you strongly opposed it would be great to understand why the facts are not good enough taken all together. Look forward to the engagement. Erzan (talk) 09:45, 9 April 2023 (UTC)

Steve Vai

Hi. I could question whether this was a perfectly good image that you restored. All concert photography people say "do not cut off the guitar headstock". Sure, it is sharp, colours are OK, but still, it's a six-year-old photo that does not present the accurate image of the artist and that guitar headstock sort of makes it worse. Wojciech Pędzich (talk) 19:11, 10 May 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for the clarification. I will adjust the edit. And I agree there ought to be more and more of good pictures of music artists (and basiucally everything - the technology is moving forward fast and good pictures are becoming even better) - this is why I took it on me to shoot as many concerts as I can in Poland. As far as lighting goes - I felt uncomfortable moving to higher ISO ranges. There might be a better shot, like number 46 - check and let me know what you think. Wojciech Pędzich (talk) 19:18, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
Quite a good replacement, thanks for pointing it out. When you shoot and later watch, sort, crop the photos you sometimes fail to see the good ones. I will change it soon. Wojciech Pędzich (talk) 20:18, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
