Battle of Kunduz and copyright[edit]

With regards to your edits to Battle of Kunduz here and here, the text you re-added was indeed a copyright violation of this New York Times article. It doesn't have to be a straight copy and paste, wording that is very similar to the source (close paraphrasing) is still at odds with the copyright policy. Some examples:

"Hundreds of police officers and civilians who were taking refuge there airport were fleeing from the..." (WP) vs "Hundreds of police officers and civilians who had taken refuge at the airport were fleeing into the..." (NYT).
"video-conference between the top Afghan general at the airport and General John F. Campbell" (WP) vs "videoconference with the top Afghan general at the airport and Gen. John F. Campbell" (NYT).
"the Afghans also came up with a plan to seize what was believed to be the Taliban’s command center: the local headquarters of Afghanistan’s spy agency; the National Directorate of Security..." (WP) vs "The Afghans also came up with a plan to seize what was believed to be the Taliban’s command center: the local headquarters of Afghanistan’s spy agency, the National Directorate of Security" (NYT).

Copyright problem on History of the United States Army Special Forces[edit]

Copying text directly from a source is a copyright violation, even if you cite the source. You need to re-state things in your own words; simply changing a few words in a sentence is still a copyright violation if the structure of the sentence is preserved. This was detected by automatic plagiarism detection software. Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, the content had to be removed. Task Force 145[edit]

No I wasn't part of the TF but I have a lot of sources on it, it seems like the user:2601:6c5:8101:29fa:98af:23ea:5c94:99ed removed the information-which isn't me, I don't have anything on their contribution but if you have a reliable source then put the info back in the article. Would you kindly please lay out a detailed and referenced rationale for your article title move at the talk page? The title convention as the last known public identification of the Task Force has stood us happily since 2006, and your move now means we have introduced a wiki-only-title which has no referenced basis anywhere else. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment.
