webcite

Thanks for telling me about the WebCite tool, since it has be a very useful archiving tool for the articles I have since edited. But its website is undergoing maintenance or something, so Im asking if u know of another tool/site that carries a similar function for archiving? Dan56 (talk) 17:41, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Woohoo

What about expectations? The single has been released, everything is verifiable. It doesn't state anything about what is going to happen. Meets notability for reception coverage. Candyo32 (talk) 23:08, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion

Greetings. Firstly, the use of capitals in your edit summary to my removal of your speedy delete template wasn't necessary. I can read without them.

In reference to your point, if you check WP:Speedy anyone can remove the template, so long as they are not the creator. Do I believe the person who originally removed the template is a sockpuppet of the creator? I do. Otherwise, I wouldn't have reported the user for an SPI. But, until that is proven, the template must stay down. HonouraryMix (talk) 17:23, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

No worries, and thank you. HonouraryMix (talk) 17:33, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

ANI Notices

I know you have made a lot more edits than I have, but I just saw your note about Iluvrihanna24, and it stimulated me to making two remarks:

  1. When you do these things, it'd be helpful if you could include the direct link. The ANI page can get pretty long, and the direct link keeps us from wondering which "issue with which [we] may have been involved" we should be looking for. I've never taken anything to ANI before, but I notice that Template:ANI-notice has a thread parameter, which appears to generate the exact link. Like:
{{subst:ANI-notice|Iluvrihann24's apparent refusal to collaborate|noticeboard=WP:ANI|thread=Re: Iluvrihanna24 doesn't appear to have learnt from previous ANI}}, which gives us
Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at WP:ANI regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Re: Iluvrihanna24 doesn't appear to have learnt from previous ANI.The discussion is about the topic Iluvrihann24's apparent refusal to collaborate. Thank you.
  2. If you do not know about it already, you should have a careful read through WP:CANVASS. It happens that I find the particular user you're concerned with to be a tedious collaborator, but it isn't fair to invite other editors to ANI solely on the basis of their complaints on her Talk page. Of course, I don't know how you chose whom to notify, but a less-than-careful phrasing of the notice or choice of invitees can undermine your argumentation concerning problem editors.

Re:I Am... Sasha Fierce

If there is such a consensus that has taken place one time or another for I Am... Sasha Fierce, why was still one citation left within the lead, see this edit before I removed the claim the first time. That said, I don't think you should leave messages at editors' talk-pages as Now you are being slightly awkward or Now why are you creating an issue when one doesn't exist?. In fact, what you are practicing is a clear case of Wikipedia:Ownership of articles.--Harout72 (talk) 18:22, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

If you disagreed with my removal the first time, you simply should have re-inserted it with the same citation that lies within the body. Reverting my edit and stating that no citations are needed within the LEAD is not the way to go, especially when there already was one citation at the end of the LEAD before my initial removal. Perhaps, you should start a discussion at the talk-page and see if editors would like to leave citations out for the LEAD.--Harout72 (talk) 18:37, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

You do need to answer one question, why was there still one citation within the LEAD which also lied within the body before my first removal? If you had removed supposedly all citation from the LEAD in order to pass it for GA, why not also remove the source at the end of the LEAD? Your claiming that you were following advice of a reviewer and not entirely doing what is asked of you until I made an edit seems nothing but WP:Ownership of articles, don't you think? And please don't ask me to get a consensus, the policy does not in any way restrict inclusion of sources within the LEAD.--Harout72 (talk) 19:00, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

I have removed all the citations from the LEAD, but please do not make it sound as if you were really following advice from reviewers, because that's not what you were doing with one citation still standing there. Others have the right to edit the same articles which you spend a lot of time yourself on. Regards.--Harout72 (talk) 19:14, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

I Am...

RE: I dont think the lead should have anything new, that the body doesnt have. Therefore, citations in the lead arent necessary if they are already in the body; which is what Wikipedia:Lead_section#Citations similarly states. Dan56 (talk) 19:01, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

RE: Concerts and Mimi

Hey, I'm great thanks, you? Yeah it's been a while, I've not been on here as much and I've been editing mainly television show pages. That will be great let me know and I'll read the reviews. I'm excited to see Leona, 3 weeks Friday :D. And ooo interesting news ay? Can't wait to hear what it is. Have fun at the concerts and good luck with your exam! Jayy008 (talk) 15:30, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks :D. Jayy008 (talk) 18:31, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

I'm excited for that Christmas/Studio album. It should be good, I think after E=MC2 didn't do amazing and Memoirs bombed, she's really going to try hard now as for the jump smokers I hope the songs are good because I usually don't like remixes :/. Thanks for the news info! Jayy008 (talk) 18:00, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

I completely agree. The thing is with UK singles is that single I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time failed, Radio 1 hasn't playlisted a song of hers since then and TV have only played one since then (Obsessed). They made a big mistake cancelling that after it being on the airwaves so long. Imperfect is my favourite song atm, I'm surprised it didn't make the Memoirs cut. There's another song called "Help Me Make It" which is a gentle ballad like something that could have been on Charm or Butterfly, it's so good, it makes me wonder how many other good songs she made for Memoirs that didn't make it. Sasha Fierce

Can i create a sasha fierce section for beyonce's album?

I only have one last question. I know you must be tired but please answer my question. I get time to use my computer only at this hour. It is 22 05 here. WHAT DOES IT LACK TO PASS FOR FA if it can pass for GA? (talkcontribs) 18:06, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

RE:Fight For This Love & Break Your Heart

Thanks for the tips on BYH. Fixed genre situation, video info, length, and the infobox (the infobox was already like that and I really didn't fix it when I decided to GA the article). However since Heartbreaker is primarily will.i.am's song, it should be inferred from the text and read as if the song is will's and not Cole's, and that the song would not have been chosen because will.i.am was ep of the album, not because the song was included on the album.

And no problem about the tips I gave on FFTL, and for the two things you noted, I had just been told on more than one occasion in GA reviews that references should be placed after a full stop and in chart performance that numbers be spelled out, and you see most GA and FA articles formatted that way.

Thanks! Candyo32 (talk) 01:25, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

So you know, I'm GA Reviewing this article. Looks like plenty to sort out, will start the review on Talk:Fight for This Love/GA1 in due course. Regards, SunCreator (talk) 22:17, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

Ooops sorry! Thanks for letting me know. Candyo32 (talk) 00:20, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

  • I'm not sure what you mean by saying 'Canadian Radio & Recods AC Singles' isn't a proper chart, many song articles' chart performance contains it, so really the only problem is that it isn't sourced (although I don't believe every chart position in a song article needs a source). If you take a look at User:BravesFan2006's contributions, you'll see he updates every chart position for every country song there is every week. I don't always know where he finds all the positions, so if a source is what you want you need to go and ask him for it, because just 'undo'ing his revision without saying anything to him isn't constructive. Spam blacklist

I'll think about it for brasilhot100. It's not doable for charly1300, because it's in too many articles. Once it's on the spam blacklist, no one can save an article containing a link to the site, even if they weren't the one that added the link. Generally, they panic and start doing bad things once the error message pops up.—Kww(talk) 00:46, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

If charly1300.com is added to the spam blacklist, it will cause trouble. Any time anyone edits an article that already contains a link to charly1300.com, he will have to remove all references to charly1300.com before he can save his change, even if he didn't add the charly1300 reference himself.—Kww(talk) 23:12, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

Ireland Sales- I Am...Sasha Fierce

Hi, hope you are doing very well. The album's sales have really exceeded 60,000 units which is equivalent to a 4xPlatinum certification in Ireland but IRMA has not certified it any further since it certifies an album for only how much it sells in the year it was released itself. See, the album's certification was in 2008 only while it topped the chart in 2009. Moreover, use your logic , IS IT POSSIBLE FOR AN ALBUM THAT HAS STAYED IN THE TOP 25 FOR 75 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS TO HAVE ONLY A 2X PLATINUM CERTIFICATION? If it was a single, it could have been said that it resisted through massive airplay but an album's chart performance is only based on sales. It has so far been charting over there for 82 consecutive weeks and all of them in the top 45. So i don't believe sales are only 30,000 (2xPlatinum). It's just that IRMA certifies an album for only what it sells in the year in which it is released. I bet if all years were counted, the album would have at least a 9xPlatinum certification. I'M NOT EXAGERRATING. Just look at the Fame. It has a 9xPlatinum certification though it spent only around 45 weeks in the chart. (The Fame Monster is currently charting SEPARATELY). The reason behind this enormous certification is that it was released in the beginning of 2009. We can even say it underperformed compared to I Am...Sasha Fierce. (Jivesh boodhun (talk) 13:09, 12 June 2010 (UTC))

This song featured on the EP I Am...Sasha Fierce released in 2010 has become very popular in Korea and has reached number 1. So do you think we should create a page for it?

bionic

Btw, discussing something other than whether Woohoo was a single or not, I was hoping "Bionic" or one of the Tricky-produced tracks would be the next single. I believe they are trying to fix the Bionic-era by going with "You Lost Me" 2010's "Beautiful". But I think maybe a upbeat, hot track for summer like one of the Tricky songs might have done it. Woohoo had the potential but I guess radio never picked it up because it was so well, explicit lol. Candyo32 (talk) 21:58, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

If im honest as an Aguilera fan i can't champion this album at all. I was so disappointed. I would have personally gone with "Bionic" (as the digitals sales show) its definately one of the album's most commerical tracks and given the state of one's career e.g. when one has been out of the public eye for a while - it would have made more sense. I'm struggling to see single choices on the album. "You Lost Me" and "Life Me Up" are good choices but they sound like B-sides from Stripped which is not good since Bionic is supposed to be a new era. I can imagine the so called Bionic Tour being swept under the carpet and us seeing a new Aggy album at end of 2011/early 2012. Regards, Lil-unique1 (talk) 01:29, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
I think Xtina's main problem is time. She says she needs time off for creativity, but sorry, it's not cutting it. In an eleven year span, she has released four albums. She should have had an album out in 2008, then instead of now critics coming up saying she trying to keep up with Gaga, then Gaga would have been compared to Christina. She probably should have had one in 2005 too. I mean she can't wait until 2014 until new music, she needs a new album next year. The album's close together strategy might have backfired, but seems like its better than waiting 4-5 years until new material is released. But I'm betting they are trying to use You Lost Me to save this era, as with Dirrty/Beautiful, since Dirty was an international hit but only #44 in the US. Because NMT was salvaged on some charts. Candyo32 (talk) 02:04, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
i have a sneaking suspician that "I Hate Boys" will be released in the UK (it was reported online somewhere) and that after IHB and YLM are done the album will be wrapped up. This is the second electropop album that the US has failed to get (think Shakira's She Wolf). But i defo agree with you... she's left it too long and now she's been overtaken. For her next album she should go pop-rock and dance pop. we'll see i guess. Lil-unique1 (talk) 02:15, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
But yet, we rejoice over Lady Gaga & Ke$ha lol. I was hoping she'll go into a more R&B-styled pop direction (recalling maybe Dirrty/Can't Hold Us Down-esque), and perhaps go for urban radio or bring urban music back to the mainstream, which the US is suffering from terribly now! For some reason pop radio just isn't supporting R&B or hip-hop acts much nowadays. If this were four years ago, one of Alicia's new songs would have been on pop radio and a Billboard hit, and Ciara's Ride probably could have fared on pop radio. But now most support is just for the dance-pop/electro era. I mean Un-Thinkable is a Top 20 hit now soley due to urban and rhythmic radio, without pop support and few digital sales. Xtina should pull a Ciara and have a new release a year later, that is thinking hopefully Basic Instinct will be a success. "Ride" is taking of slowly but surely, imagine if it could only work on pop. Candyo32 (talk) 02:26, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Hello Hash, how are you? Long time no speak! I went to see Leona Friday and it was mesmerising. I'd even say she's better than Mimi now! Jayy008 (talk) 17:17, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Yeah I agree! Her American label though didn't market her very well at all. They made a poor choice for single and failed with the promotion! What did you think of Gabriella Cilmi? Jayy008 (talk) 19:50, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Definitely, Simon loves Mariah, but Leona is her own person and never will be Mimi. Leona said in an interview that she's changing direction on her next album so I'm excited to see what she comes up with. I haven't heard none of her leaked songs to be honest. But I agree Alex's album as a whole is horrendous, seriously. I haven't heard "Start Without You" yet, is it THAT bad? lol Jayy008 (talk) 20:08, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

PS: "You Lost Me"? What you want to do with the Wikipedia? Let it invasive and full of a few truths? Hush Hush

Resolved

My apology if my constant reverting is driving you crazy. Seem a little obsessed with the matter but that's fine. The only reason I wanted to include that version of the cover is because it's more relevant to the article. The image created controversy by placing overemphasis on Nicole and those points are clearly touched upon by the article. Before, I attempted to include both images in the article so a comparison could be shown and readers could see the change but the image was also protested and deleted. I think it's silly to not include it considering that the group broke up after this single. I suggest using it in the alternate cover slot in the singles template or have it as the main picture and include a clarifying subtext. I just don't see any good in ignoring the image.

Also, about my alleged sock-puppetry. I created Ratizi1 after I switched computers. My passwords were saved and I forgot the password and wanted to still be able edit with a username. After many failed attempts I remembered the correct password and regained my original account. I don't use both at the same time but I did have to log into ratizi1 again so that I could redirect it back to myself. I don't know the procedure for my situation but I honestly don't care enough. You can delete the other account or whatever it is you do if you feel it necessary. RatiziOnecontribs 04:15, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

One last question on my talk page :) (CK)Lakeshadetalk2me 02:03, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

I've promoted the article to mainspace - it looks superb, and I reckon WP:NALBUMS has easily been satisfied. I seem to recall !voting to delete/merge/incubate at some point, so I'm particularly impressed with the massive improvement.

I've removed the {{Article Incubator}} tag. However, I wasn't sure what categories to use so I'll leave that up to you.

Congratulations, and happy editing! TFOWR 11:29, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Incidentally, this is the first article I've moved from the incubator. I'm reading up on the incubation process now, but if there's anything I've missed, or that you need admin help with, let me know. TFOWR 11:33, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Kelly R

Sorry, I wasn't online when you mailed me. Jayy008 (talk) 19:36, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

I didn't read it. But visually it looks perfect to me, it looks like a lot of work has gone into it. As for Mariah, I don't really have an opinion now. She's my favourite artist, but she's doing too much, she needs to have a couple of years off to make a comeback, an album a year doesn't work any more. I also don't know why she feels the need to mess with "All I Want For Christmas Is You" that's like Whitney re-recording "I Will Always Love You" :/. I'm still excited for a new studio though! Jayy008 (talk) 22:19, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Then I'm definitely excited for that! And yes, I can see her working with him, but I won't like it. I would prefer her more edgy as I love "Outta My Head" but "Pass Out" for me wouldn't really be her style. I'm glad she sees where "Echo" went wrong though! Jayy008 (talk) 22:53, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

I hadn't even heard the leaks until you showed me them, I am so surprised that stuff like that was left off! And oh, what's wrong with "Memoirs..." :S... We've put a lot of work into that article over the past year. Jayy008 (talk) 13:46, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Oh gosh. Well MariahDaily has been approved for certain things, so I think I'll have to make them aware of that. Since the album was announced Via Twitter, that should be what's used! I'll take a look. Jayy008 (talk) 13:54, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Ride

Thanks!! I had sources saved for a while, and I just decided to go ahead and stop procrastinating and fix it lol. I tried to help you contain the article for a while but mad fans would undo and add random crap and it was getting annoying. So when the article came out about the remix and how BET actually didn't ban the video, I decided to expand. And btw, congrats for the FTL article and I see how busy you've been with the Kelly Rowland articles. Speaking of Kelly, I liked Commander and thought it should have been sent to US radio, instead of RCC, which I really don't like. I've only heard Grown Woman once a while back, and from that initial hearing I'm not sure if it would fare well on urban. And about You Lost Me, I heard the radio edit and am really enjoying it. I can tell its a very strategic move trying to re-create the success of Beautiful, but they may should have used You Lost Me at the end of the year and chose a Tricky-produced track for the summer. Honestly, I'm just ready to be rid of the Bionic era, just because of the negative attention it has garnered. I think Xtina should go for not necessarily soul, but natural R&B for her next set, maybe aim at an urban audience. Its really a shame Woohoo w/Nicki Minaj didn't do well, considering how much Minaj is flourishing now, but maybe the track was just too explicit. As much attention has Minaj has been getting in the US now if they really, really worked the song with full-on video and promotion, I believe it would have done well. Candyo32 (talk) 00:20, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

Speaking of the radio situation I hate the US radio situation now. Mainstream radio has moved toward supporting Guetta-esque dance-pop hits and acts like Ke$ha whilst almost dropping totally urban music. I kind of disagree sort of, maybe not Acapella or Commander in particular, but songs like this new crap Flo Rida has with David Guetta are taking over. Nowadays you may only find 5-6, if that many, R&B and hip-hop songs in the Mainstream Top 40. Back in the mid-2000s, pop radio ate urban music up with urban acts like Ciara, Usher, Beyonce, Chris Brown, Alica Keys, etc having multiple top ten hits. I mean if that were the situation now, "Ride" would have went to mainstream radio, so would have Alicia's "Un-thinkable". Now, when an R&B/hip-hop act reaches the top thirty, it is considered well, when back then so many were top ten hits. Hopefully we'll see a comeback for urban music in the mainstream. Diddy, TI, Trey Songz, and Nicki Minaj have songs out right now that are hitting pop pretty well, considering the times. Back to Kelly, instead of trying GW first, I think the Commander Urban version ft. Nelly should have went for radio first. And on Christina, yeah considering how Bionic the song did after the album was released, they should have did how Taio Cruz's Dynamite and Jason Derulo's Ridin Solo and released the single ASAP, but they ran out of time. And I think Woohoo's time is up. Unless YLM does EXTREMELY well, I'm talking like a top ten hit, they need to move on from Bionic. Candyo32 (talk) 01:03, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
In my opinion, it would, and I think even before because it has charted already. Candyo32 (talk) 22:35, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
Lol btw, we must have been thinking the same thing, I was just about to go request that Woohoo be protected. lol Candyo32 (talk) 14:25, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

Westlife

Hi! About the Westlife information from Where We Are. You obviously deleted the unsourced content. They are important things on the list and I want you to get it back there even I can't find any source but those things really happened for the band. many other pages doesn't have sources but they are there to stay.

Fair-use guidelines.

Thanks for that Hash. Really appreciate it. I thought that was the case too but somebody else has reverted my edit on Eminem's new album adding back the second cover and a link to a discussion where it says a second cover is allowed if it's different and widely distributed. I don't know if it's been put through and allowed though. Jayy008 (talk) 16:01, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

You are on three reverts on the saturdays article. Off2riorob (talk) 22:38, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi. :) You seem to have inadvertently nominated this song for AfD twice in two days. ([2]). I have deleted the second AfD under WP:CSD#G6, since we can't run two at once, but since your nomination statement was slightly different, I copied the second over to the first AfD. It's up to you if you want to merge those statements into one or delete the second; it doesn't matter to me. You're welcome to remove it and my statement there explaining it if you'd like. Let me know at my talk page, please, if you have any questions about this. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 00:41, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

Recorded songs

Its not duplicated information. I suppose when a full-blown track listing is released you'll be opposed to listing that, too? Granted all (except for "Shake Them Haters Off") are songs that have been released as singles, but the section is not a sin to have. See JoJo's upcoming album, All I Want Is Everything for my point of reference, and I've seen this done before on other articles in the past. Get off your high horse. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. Nowyouseemetalk2me 22:09, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

I made those comments based on your actions 1) You reported CloversMallRat for edit warring, when you we're the other editor engaged in the war 2) I've asked you a question on your talk page before, and you refused to respond to me, and 3) now you are mocking CloversMallRat, by calling her CloversMoleRat on my talk page. These may just be a misunderstanding, perhaps you can explain them. I do admit I had some harsh words for you on CloversMallRat's talk page, so I apologize for those. Nowyouseemetalk2me 02:23, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
Well I'm glad that you weren't mocking her, and that it was just a typo for one. Secondly, after a glance at your revision history, I found this question that I asked you and you never responded, which made me think that you we're just blowing me off. I work a lot with CloversMallRat and I like her, with you reporting her for edit warring I kind of saw it was an attack on her, which I didn't appreciate, but I may have been quick to assume that. I think "douche" is profanity too, but we live in different countries, where I'm from people make uncivil comments, maybe it's cultural differences, maybe it's just me. I'm sorry that you took strong offense. I think it's kinda hard not to be critical of certain actions from editors, I'm sorry if we don't see eye to eye on everything. I hope we can get past this and be cool. Nowyouseemetalk2me 02:49, 10 July 2010 (UTC) Nowyouseemetalk2me 03:03, 10 July 2010 (UTC)

Apology

Thank you, that means a lot! I'm hoping we can just put this behind us and work together for a greater good on Wikipedia, because I truly had no bad intentions with the edits I had been making. I was, like you, only trying to add what I felt like I could to better Wikipedia. Sometimes I can make mistakes, but we're human so its natural to happen. If you look at some of my previous work (primarily in the country music genre), you'll see that I've put in a lot of good, hard work here just as much as any other. Hope we can be friends, and have a nice day. CloversMallRat (talk) 05:35, 10 July 2010 (UTC)

Kelly Rowland discography

It looks really good, your doing a great job with it. So is Kelly Rowland your favorite artist? Personally I always liked Michelle Williams best from Destiny's Child, but I'm looking forward to this new album; I love the new songs. CloversMallRat (talk) 23:55, 10 July 2010 (UTC)

So a similar situation to me, I guess, 'cause I didn't care for her until I started listening to this new stuff. I do like "Stole" though, that's some pretty solid R&B. But yeah, I love love love Michelle's album, and I personally think she's heaps better than Beyonce... who I don't dislike, but I'm not big on the power vocal diva type artists. My favorite pop artist is Britney Spears, she's been my favorite since I was 5 and she released her debut single. Although country music is my favorite genre as a whole, with Sara Evans being my favorite country vocalist. CloversMallRat (talk) 00:04, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I actually don't like Shania Twain; the only song I truly like is "Forever and for Always," which I actually love a lot... but nothing else. I like all sorts of country music though... I like stuff thats country-pop but also the more traditional stuff too. CloversMallRat (talk) 00:09, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

Hello, are you fine? I am doing well. When will you have a look at the album?

Hi i hope you are fine. Seems that i have practically lost contact with you. I know you are very busy. But tell me when you will help me with "I AM...SASHA FIERCE"? I am patiently waiting for your help which has always proved to be precious to me and my contributions made to BEYONCE articles. Please try to find out some time to reply me. Okay thanks a lot for explaining. I know what you mean by a copy edit but i didn't understand the "formatting of references"???? Jivesh boodhun (talk) 15:09, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi how are you? I need your help with the album. What does the phrase "citing that the idea of including two discs was universal." means??????? I need a better understandable sentence. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 11:45, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

I am deeply sorry for not contributing to the album for the time being. Actually, my grandfather just passed away. He died today itself. Please try to understand. See you later. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 16:53, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi, hope you are fine. I have already filled the first 92 references. Can you please have a look and tell me if they are okay? Jivesh boodhun (talk) 17:34, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Templates

Hello, can you help me please. The templates on my user page about music etc, I can't remember where they are. Do you? Jayy008 (talk) 16:37, 10 July 2010 (UTC)

All the ones on my user page about music, food or drink, basic information. I can't remember where I found them. Jayy008 (talk) 16:42, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
Perfect thank you :). Jayy008 (talk) 16:50, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
That would be very helpful if you did that :). And yes, they were but I'm surprised they're so limited I thought there would be some more because there's hardly any for movies or TV shows, or am I again looking in the wrong place? lol Jayy008 (talk) 09:24, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
Thank you. They're the ones I saw, they're very limited. And yes, I was thinking of that, but I don't think I'm capable of making my own, it looks to confusing. Jayy008 (talk) 19:18, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

Rap Up

Just wanted to check where does it say that "Devin Lazerine" is the publisher of Rap Up magazine? --Lil-unique1 (talk) 16:28, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

In Rap-Up itself. TbhotchTalk C. 16:29, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
All I can see it says is that Devin Lazerine is the editor in chief. That's not the same as the publisher. Publishers are never people. --Lil-unique1 (talk) 16:37, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
"Rap-Up was founded by Devin Lazerine when he was 15 years old as an after-school hobby; the magazine was an online compendium of hip hop news, gossip and top-ten music lists." Lazerine is the owner, the editor and the publisher. TbhotchTalk C. 16:39, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
I removed it previous when editing articles because people don't publish magazines organisations do. Because the article mentions no specif editor it is improper to use the editor as a publisher espicially since the website does not identify a publisher Rap Up#About us. Wikipedia articles themselves are not good sources for the publisher of websites etc. --Lil-unique1 (talk) 16:46, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
people don't publish magazines organisations do -> [citation needed] TbhotchTalk C. 16:48, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
The Rap-Up article itself says, "The magazine's first issue was published by H&S Media in 2001; however, the company went bankrupt shortly after publishing the first issue." H&S media is an example of a publisher, not Devin Lazerine. Candyo32 16:51, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
Remove it, I don't care it is not *my* article. TbhotchTalk C. 16:54, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
{{citeweb}} says about the publisher field "publisher: Publisher, if any—for example if the website is hosted by a government service, educational institution, or company. (The publisher is not usually the name of the website, that is usually the work)." Also Derby Univerity says if unknown leave blank. Harvard Ref Guide (pdf) which is also seen here

Hi

First -- glad to see that you are using an image on this page that I voted for at FA!. As to the subject we are discussing, to be clear (away from the heat of the discussion), it doesn't appear that you and I are far apart, if at all. I greatly cut down the mention of the incident, so that it was just one sentence. Even that was deleted. (as to whether readers of the page would be interested in the video, we can't know ... but I would guess that those who are interested in the song would be interested in its use in a dance video with the name of the song in it, to the song, covered by all manner of international media). Some advises maybe??

Hello, Lil-unique1

I've received your warning after uploading tons of covers, and i didn't mean to reply your warning so late, true is i'm not very familiar with how to use talk page, and i stopped uploading after i saw the warning, so... sorry

here is the thing, about"Uploading multiple images is not required. For unspecified reasons you have uploaded multiple duplicate identical covers for no reason", I uploaded these covers for simply one purpose and one reason, to share them and help some user who might need them, and you can see those covers are small-sized with high quality, this kind of cover which i believe is respected the ruls, and i added detailed informations and sources, including where the original covers are from... and one of the administrators claimed that "The only reasons I can comprehend for Ai5924677 to keep uploading such images is to promote a website s/he is affiliated with :Allcdcovers (s/he keeps using this as the source for each of the covers) or if s/he is trying to gain auto-confirmed status to edit protected articles", to clarify the facts, allcdcovers.com is a non-profit website that users can upload covers to, to promote this site i won't get any penny or additional point, and i don't even know what's auto-confirmed status???, the only reason i did so is because it might give some users like me who want to find HQ covers to complete their music collections a little help, so I uploaded new coves to replace the old ones, in order to add original cover's link, i don't know besides this method, how can i add original link... maybe you could give me some advises or it just simple doesn't work and i should stop doing so??

and sorry for my english...

Christina Aguilera BIONIC Worldwide Sales

Christina Recently Titled album Bionic worldwide sales were 247,600 and here is the source to proof it. http://www.musicharts.net/index.php?cat=charts&chid=0

I feel that she is being treated by emotion and opinions on her Bionic wikipedia page and not by her actual sales and rate...for example....

In the United States it debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 albums chart with sales of 110,000 copies, becoming her lowest charting album on the chart. Bionic made UK chart history by first debuting at number one with lowest number of copies sold in eight years and then by registering the largest weekly decline for a number one album

I Understand the information being put out...but it seems to me that editors are trying to state information that are based on there opinions for her as a artist. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Madtv12 (talkcontribs) 18:44, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

About genre changing...

It just doesn't make sense that people put obviously wrong genres & it's accepted just because the "reliable source" was also wrong. I mean that song is Electro & Hip hop is it not? Which is the genre Electro hop. I mean it was put as Southern hip hop are you kidding me. And i don't have time to look for a "source" because it's just so obvious what the genre is, it's like somebody putting "rock" under a Lady GaGa song just because the source said so. And sorry if i'm ranting i'm not like all serious about this site, but i change mostly the genres because people need to realize that electro hop is a real genre & most songs you hear are electro hop/pop/house. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sebizzar (talkcontribs) 09:14, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

In a Perfect World

One more thing, I have a few other projects I want to finish up before I begin this, but I know your busy with all your Kelly stuff, but I want to start working on In a Perfect World... as a Featured topic , and I was going to let you know since I think you have heavily edited the Keri articles. But I know it would be a long-term project, but I was going to just work on it whenever I'm not on something else. Just to let you know if you wanted to collaborate. Candyo32 (talk) 02:10, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

I think I have exhausted every information out here for Gimme That, so I guess just wait until official confirmation is given and it can go into its page, but another editor may throw a fit and we might have to wait until it charts. I was planning on starting Knock You Down first, I may just pst it in a sandbox and just work on it whenever. I believe KYD and Turnin' Me on will be pretty easy but I dread doing Energy and some of those other singles. And btw, the Kelly articles look really great! I heard Grown Woman on the radio today, on a rhythm station but according to Mediabase its flourshing on urban too. Its still early, but so far You Lost Me and Rose Colored Glasses aren't doing well on mainstream. Sigh. But it looks like Ciara may have a banger in 'Gimme That'. If she can break through on pop radio, it'll be a guaranteed hit. Candyo32 (talk) 02:46, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
Sigh, I'll fix them sometime tomorrow. Candyo32 (talk) 04:57, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
Thanks alot if you don't mind! I see your current projects thing redone. Somehow yours seems to look so much more elegant than mine lol. Candyo32 (talk) 05:00, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
LOL well thats cause you put the dates & everything. Haha. I could help you on the Battlefield's too. This is part of my problem, I work on so many projects instead of completing one quickly I take forever to complete many lol. Since you've done so much to Basic Instinct, i'll just stick to collaborating with you on Ride and its singles lol!! Candyo32 (talk) 05:17, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

OMG thanks for all the help on Massive Attack. If you don't mind, could you tell me which ones still need fixing? Lol. And that editor that removed synthpop, he keeps going around all of my articles that have synthpop (when they clearly state use of synthesizers) and removing it and it is soooo annoying! & Btw, I see CiCi has debuted in the UK! Candyo32 02:09, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
THANKS so much! Now I've fixed the ALT text. Candyo32 16:15, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
I know, I've fixed the signature lol. I forget about the stardate template lol. And most of the reasons the chronologies are messed up on my articles are because they are done by other users, and then i forget to fix his chronology bc DIL is not a single. the GA is still pending because it was recommended to expand the chart performance section, and that is the worst part about completing an article! Lol. It annoys me. I'll get it done soon. So is Massive Attack done after the date thing? Candyo32 16:36, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
THat's great! I was jut about to find it and download it to do Credits & personnel sections for singles, but now I won't have to! I'm about to begin "Slow Dance" soon. And on the Scottish Singles Chart, it seems as if a consensus was never reached, but I'll leave it because I know the same editor that keeps pushing it on the Alexandra articles will add them again. Candyo32 (talk) 21:15, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
I see on your talk page that you are suffering from exhaustion -- hope you feel better! So you can take your time, you know I'm not in a rush to finish IPW lol. But when you do have a chance, could you post the album info for the singles, but like I said no rush at all! Hope you feel better again! Candyo32 (talk) 21:49, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
Another thing, i noticed you editing Un-Thinkable, which reminds me, I want to get TEF to GA topic in the near future too, possibly for a collaboration. Again like I said before, I try to do too many things lol! Candyo32 (talk) 21:59, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! When I'm not busy I just force myself to stop procrastinating and do something useful with my spare time loL! I'm working on Turnin Me On now. The one I actually dread working on is Knock You Down, because of the broad chart performance and its success is more to cover. I see your working on 3 Words too, great job so far! Candyo32 (talk) 00:17, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

Hello

Well I hope it gets better for ya.. I've had some spare time this summer too, so I decided to learn French, it helps pass some extra time; something like that might be fun for you to do. Nowyouseemetalk2me 08:18, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

So yeah, Ive corrected all the issues, so you should go pass the article now :) (CK)Lakeshadetalk2me 00:38, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

Request

Hey, thanks for all the help on Your Love Is My Drug. I was wondering if in the next weekish (as soon as you feel up to it) if you wanted to do me a huge favor. I understand the referencing now but i need a review like youve done for the Kesha singles on the album, Animal. I know how to do alot of them but theres like 25 ive never dealt with in proper formatting. If you could do that for me and drop me a message like you did for Blah Blah Blah on my talk page that would be amazing :) (CK)Lakeshadetalk2me 08:01, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

Thank you. On another note, great work on getting Commander (song) to GA Status. The reviewer missed something though, you have alot of dab links, see here for how to correct :) (CK)Lakeshadetalk2me 21:44, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia: GOODARTICLE

Hello LilUnique, how are you? I was wandering how to nominate an article for WK:GA? And can you tell me all the problems with Memoirs..., I'm going to overhaul it. Jayy008 (talk) 16:13, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

PS, I know I've been a music absentee for a while now but why has Record Charts changed name? Jayy008 (talk) 16:15, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

Looks confusing. I don't feel comfortable removing where it says she announced her album title on Twitter, maybe I can find a secondary source that says it. Jayy008 (talk) 16:21, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
Got it, thanks! Jayy008 (talk) 16:26, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
I will do. About you merging AA singles with Memoirs, I have no objection to that but shouldn't they be removed from the infobox completely? 5 singles makes the album look really successful which is mis-leading. As the versions from Memoirs weren't the ones released, they're still shown in the article. I'll leave it up to you... Jayy008 (talk) 16:29, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
I understand, that's definitely reasonable. I've already made the singles section into a paragraph. Jayy008 (talk) 17:33, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

Video sourcing

I'm afraid that I can't be much help. It's not an area that I've researched.—Kww(talk) 16:19, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

I can help. For my Kesha articles i use MTV Canada. Search Kelly Rowland as ive done here, it will tell you the director at the bottom of each music video :) (CK)Lakeshadetalk2me 21:51, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

Mariah Carey Discussion

Hi Unique, I would appreciate you input here, so we can finally reach a consensus. Thanks :).--PeterGriffinTalk 01:21, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Hey Unique, you forgot to sign your comment :s, just want it to be clear who said what :)--PeterGriffinTalk 13:34, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

RE:Woohoo

So, there are some official charts that "Ride" has charted on that haven't been posted yet. For example, on the official UK R&B Top 40 Singles Charts, Ciara debuted at #27. You can check that out for yourself... (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/rnbsingles) ldt88_07 (talk) 18:23, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

That's great. I also reported the user in question, as it seems the bulk came from him/her. I believe its the same one from before as the IP starts with 90..... Candyo32 (talk) 18:23, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

What do you think about "Ride"? I think it should be up for GA after Basic Insinct is released, so album reviews for the song could be included, and by then (hopefully) it will ascend up the charts further. I added "shimmery synths" from a source into the composition, but wouldn't you think the song is electrohop rather than synthpop, since it really hasn't been referred as pop. I've really never understood the distinct difference between electronica and synths anyway since both derive from synthisizers. In my mind, I just think electro has a lighter tone or something i guess. Candyo32 (talk) 19:33, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Lol well synth hop would work but I don't think its a genre. Most are released on tuesdays but some songs have exceptions. For example, Kanye West's new single power was released on last Thursday, and if i'm not mistaken, Ride was released on the Monday. I want to include a few more reviews before it could be a GA, and of course the chart performance would have to be done. Speaking of another, its rumored that "Get It Girl" would be the next single either this month or next month, after she starts to promote Ride more (which she really hasn't done at all right now). Its really done well w/o promotion and hardly no substantial digital sales. If Ride doesn't take off her next probably will, it's really Goodies/1, 2 Step-esque. Candyo32 (talk) 19:46, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Well, I guess since the source says it Candyo32 (talk) 20:36, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Lol, you can go ahead and do it if you want. But I don't know how quick it it will be corrected. Haha. Candyo32 (talk) 21:21, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
I just saw about Gimme That too. At first I thought it was too pop-ish but in order for an urban song to be a hit these days it has to work both pop and urban formats. I was hoping it was going to be Get It Girl, but I guess they decided against it. Candyo32 (talk) 01:17, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
I saw your Woohoo talk comments. It's out of control. Anyway, more blogs are raving about Gimme That. Maybe it will be a hit. And i looked at the GW page, and is Urban AC Airplay a component of R&B/Hip-Hop? Candyo32 (talk) 13:51, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Well I really hope Ciara does well this Basic Instinct-era. Goodies and Ciara: The Evolution were both magnificent (well the later wasn't so magnificent with critics), and seems like Fantasy Ride was just a total flop, comparing her past. She needs to come out with a really thumping music video for Gimme That, because I always keep in mind Ciara's first is really a dancer. Yesterday I was watching she and Chris Brown performing at the '08 BET Awards and he just had her there dancing and she fell back on his heel and came back up, it was incredible. She's like the Chris Brown equivalent of a Michael Jackson, they should have had both of them back this year on the awards to do a tribute together. Anyway, back to the charts, I believe it may be a component, because I've seen songs to chart on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and have had airplay on Urban AC, rather than Urban. Candyo32 (talk) 14:21, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Btw, I like your new userpage! Your gonna make me have to go fix mine, again! Lol. I saw that you added Gimme That info. to Basic Instinct. I've started on the article in one of my Sandbox, I believe the fifth one. Feel free to go add content & or w/e. Before songs come out, I'm trying to go ahead and get good content ready to paste on them before obsessive fans take over. Lol! Candyo32 (talk) 02:04, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

Ugh.....

Hey, regarding Tik Tok (song) do you think its premature if i close the discussion on if the viral video should be included or not? No one has supplied sufficient reasoning or evidence on why it should be included. Ive argued pretty much every point, its the same stuff being thrown at me and its getting really redundant, i have no intention of backing down so maybe i should just put it as proposed in a stupid see also section (if the viral video page is kept that is). What do you think? (reply here or on my talk page, which ever your prefer.) (CK)Lakeshadetalk2me 05:38, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Ugh! Disregard that, im still arguing it. Please feel free to join back in the discussion, as im getting extremely bored with it as this point and its getting extremely redundant as there has been no valid argument for why it should be included :P Also you may want to look at this and this as our names have (indirectly) been named (just to make you aware) (CK)Lakeshadetalk2me 09:29, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
