A tag has been placed on Subway Alumni requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. reddogsix (talk) 03:44, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Topher Mohr[edit]

Hello Leon Reppot,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Topher Mohr for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 18:08, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Topher Mohr, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://witzend.tunestub.com/event.cfm?id=101593.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) A tag has been placed on Topher Mohr, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. (See section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) If an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
  • It appears to be a clear copyright infringement of http://witzend.tunestub.com/event.cfm?id=101593. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.

Follow-up[edit]

As you can see the article has not been deleted at this time. A few points about that:

  • It was not a straight recreation of the deleted version so don't worry about that aspect
  • I have had to remove most of it as an obvious copyright violation that was a word-for-word recreation of the source material, so it's a lot shorter now.
  • When adding references you should format them like this <ref>[link to ref]</ref> instead of using double curly brackets as you wrre doing. That makes the software think you are trying to call a template and breaks the ref. I've more or less fixed that, more information is available at WP:REFHELP
  • I'm not at all sure that any of the references currently in use qualify as relibale sources as they mostly appear to be user-generated content, blogs, etc, so it is still possible the article could be deleted again via articles for deletion

Hope this helps. Beeblebrox (talk) 20:50, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 17:20, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Renee Glover, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Block[edit]

Hi, I'm Kevin. An administrator has indefinitely blocked the User:Leon Reppot account because of concerns (see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Renee Glover) that User:Renee Glover and User:Leon Reppot are controlled by the same person, or are multiple people coordinating their efforts. The use of multiple accounts for improper purposes is prohibited on Wikipedia, and this prohibition extends to enlisting friends and others to make similar edits (see WP:MEAT). If two different people control the two accounts, please let us know and ensure that you've read our policy on the use of multiple accounts and our policy on asking others to make similar edits as you, and then appeal this block. If this block was made in error, you can appeal this block. Best, Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 05:27, 28 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kevin, I am following up on my request below. Please advise. Thanks!

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Leon Reppot (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I was blocked from editing by a User claiming "Sock Puppeting". I am appealing the move and accusation. I have no connection to the account in the above claim. I am a music business student editing a page of a music business professional (with intentions of more). My edits were made solely from this account on a shared public computer. I could send any executed affidavit stating the same. I am requesting the block be lifted as soon as possible. I have read the our policy on the use of multiple accounts and our policy on asking others to make similar edits as you which is why I do not want to start a new account for other claims and have anyone believe I am doing anything in bad faith. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter. KevinLeon Reppot (talk) 21:30, 28 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Really? One of the first few edits you made said "we have had a heck of a time getting this page up", and you now claim that you have no connection to the accounts which previously tried to post the same article, over a long period of time? Did you hope your unblock request would be reviewed by an administrator who was totally stupid? The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 15:15, 31 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I'm having some trouble with this. All of your article edits but one have been to Brian Monaco. The exact same thing is true of Renee Glover (talk · contribs), and likewise the exact same thing is true of Marketing & PR Solutions (talk · contribs). And checkuser indicates it is all from the same IP. And no other edits from the "shared public computer". --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 00:58, 31 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
And strangely the other user who edited Brian Monaco is also a music student [1]...coincidence? I think not...Dom from Paris (talk) 22:32, 31 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
