first time ever on Wikipedia, have new content to add was going to paste in. Does this need to be done in html? In future, how and where can I submit the changes for review before posting. Thank you for your assistance.[edit]

You should use the article talk page to suggest any changes(such as Talk:Thomas Markle). Please note that content on Wikipedia is based on Wikipedia policies and guidelines, and not other codes of behavior(like the 'SPJ Code of Ethics'). Wikipedia summarizes what appears in independent reliable sources about article subjects. Since the birth of Mr. Markle's grandson is heavily covered in many sources, and the child is part of the British Royal Family, he merits an article and mentions in other articles. If he did not merit an article, he would indeed not need to be included, but he does merit one. 331dot (talk) 00:32, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please review policy on what we call edit warring, in other words, repeatedly reverting a change to keep your preferred version of an article. Wikipedia operates by consensus among editors. Got it, am retired, worked in print media back when you had to have 3 sources to publish anything!

My edits were to list all 6 of his grandchildren in order of birth, which are missing. This information has been verified by multiple news sources.

Also found some additional historical information on the name Markle which I thought was interesting regarding the name in Lancashire in the 13th century and was sourced from historical sites.

And lastly there is an error in listing the “Markle’s and Ragland’s” relatives by marriage to the British royal family.

By definition only the person who marries into a family becomes a relative by marriage into that family, ie, Meghan Markle. Her blood relatives are not related by marriage to the BRF. The Duchess is not a “blood” member of the BRF. She became a member of the BRF by marriage, which does not extend to her relatives. Sourced re the updated order of precedence that was issued by Queen Elizabeth II July 2012 and multiple historical documents.

Sorry about the errors, I could not figure out why the new text was not appearing! Will have to retype it all on a computer and resubmit another time. Thanks!

I can't tell what you intended to do, but what you did was not list all six grandchildren of Thomas Markle but to remove Archie Mountbatten-Windsor from the infobox and to remove a sentence from the lead that said he's the father of Meghan and the grandfather of Archie. See here. I don't quite understand why you mention that in the time of print journalism everything needed three sources to publish anything; are you seriously concerned that there's a lack of sources out there confirming that Thomas Markle indeed is the father of Meghan and the grandfather of Archie? And what did you mean by your edit summary of "Edited content for accuracy per SPJ Code of Ethics (Society of Professional Journalists)"? Firstly Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a newspaper, and we're not acting as journalists (professional or otherwise), so I don't see how the SPJ Code of Ethics would be in the least relevant here. Secondly, are you saying there are concerns about the accuracy of the content you removed? What, specifically, do you think was inaccurate in the content you removed?

Whether or not in-laws are "related by marriage" seems debatable; personally I don't see why they wouldn't be considered so. Why you removed content about Meghan's mother from an article about Meghan's family would also need some explanation. Surely you're not claiming that mothers aren't part of someone's family. Hoon- You don’t have to be so rude. I explained that I was new and was having issues with my tablet. I also explained that I was not able to completely submit my text.
