July 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from River Islands at Lathrop. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Covington Capital Partners requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 18:03, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Correcting your edits[edit]

Hello, Las vegas kid. I reverted your edits to the James Logan High School article -- again. And restored the intro to standard style and language for Wikipedia articles about schools. Note that there is no standard definition for "Mega" high school -- it is a slang term, a neologism, and should not be used until scholarly sources make it a distinctive part of our vernacular. By the way, I notice that you fail to use WP:edit summaries. Please do so -- especially when reverting or deleting text. It is considered an essential part of WP etiquette and allows other editors to understand what you are trying to accomplish. It is a good way to avoid misunderstandings. If you have questions about this, feel free to ask. CactusWriter (talk) 19:33, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

coyote springs[edit]

Anyone can work on any article without permission. The problem with the article you are asking about is some editors were apparently using it for some non encyclopedic purposes. Removing text with valid citations and replacing this with oddly worded and poorly researched information and terms. In fact, much of what was added required significant grammar corrections. So you don't need to ask, go ahead and edit. Just use the standard good editing techniques. Oh, do try and add references correctly cited use the cite templates and the ref tags. From my minimal exposure the key to getting an article assessed as a good article is references. Good luck. Vegaswikian (talk) 18:05, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vegaswikian the coyote springs is semi-protected and only autoconfirmed users can edit it what does that mean it not leting me edit the page (Las vegas kid (talk) 03:30, 21 October 2010 (UTC)).[reply]

Warning on removal of content[edit]

Las vegas kid, your edits have again been reverted at Coyote Springs, Nevada. You continue to remove referenced text without explanation. You also are adding information that is not referenced in the citations. (For example, that the development will begin in 2012 is not stated in either of the references to which those sentences are cited.) I observe that this is not the only article where this is occurring. Please stop. Persistent addition of wrongly attributed text or removal of text and references without explanation can be considered disruptive editing and may result in an editor being blocked. Additionally, you seem intent on rewriting the text, but unfortunately your errors in English grammar leave the text in poorer and sometimes unreadable condition. Although I appreciate your desire to improve content, rather than make large wholesale revisions, I suggest that you employ the article talk pages to make suggested improvements first and allow other editors to make large rewrites for you.
