Dáil Éireann[edit]

Please stop adding incorrect information. FF won 38 seats including Ceann Comhairle. Thank you. FDW777 (talk) 20:34, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

February 2022[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at David Keane (judge). Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. ZL10 (talk) 19:36, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It's not vandalism, it's the truth. It is apparent that there is a rot at the core if the Irish Justice System and he is one if the chief perpetrators. Kennygc7 (talk) 12:27, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

July 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Andethyst. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Stella O'Malley—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Andethyst (talk) 16:44, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Everything I said is substantiated in fact and the edit was important to inform those who may have been searching her ahead of her appearance at All Together Now to warn people about who she is so they will steer clear of her. You are a coward. Kennygc7 (talk) 18:05, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

April 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm The Banner. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to River Shannon have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. The Banner talk 22:22, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No Offence, but you're Dutch so i doubt you understand the importance of what I did there. I reverted the page to my edit. Clearly many Irish people agree with me following a look at the Edit History and Talk Page. The British Isles is not an entity and the suggestion that it is is Offensive to Irish People. Kennygc7 (talk) 10:37, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Take a look at WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS. Also don't make assumptions about editor knowledge or opinion based on their nationality. This essay is excellent: WP:INSCRUTABLE. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 11:24, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
After 18 years in Ireland, I have a pretty good idea that - with the exception of a tiny minority - nobody gives a flying flip about the geographical term "British Isles". The Banner talk 13:00, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I wholeheartedly apologise for bringing your nationality into it. My lived experience deviates substantially from yours on this issue, but I realise upon reflection that I may just be more likely due to my own social circles to encounter people with this viewpoint. I have no interest in perpetuating this edit-war any further. Kennygc7 (talk) 13:07, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

May 2024[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at British Isles. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. You have the right to be offended. You do not have the right to not be offended. Nor do you have the right to censor content to avoid your feelings being hurt. BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 10:47, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at River Shannon shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Jauerbackdude?/dude. 12:57, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

My edits were in good faith and I truly believed I was highlighting an important issue on the article for which I was banned. I apologise for my lashing out on the introduction to the British Isles page, which came from a place of emotion and not fact. I would however point to the genuinely constructive edits I have made on pages closer to my knowledge base, in the past number of months especially, and if unblocked I undertake to not make any more edits on the two pages in question and to double check in future if I am in danger of becoming involved in an edit war. I do genuinely care about enhancing the encyclopedia and improving accuracy where I find inaccuracies. Kennygc7 (talk) 11:02, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

I am satisfied that things will be different going forward, so I will remove the block. Notifying Jauerback. 331dot (talk) 13:08, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much 331dot! Kennygc7 (talk) 14:31, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Would you be willing to stop editing about the use of that term, at least until you get some more experience under your belt and are able to do so without lashing out? 331dot (talk) 11:26, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes absolutely, I'm not interested in that particular argument anymore. It's going nowhere. Kennygc7 (talk) 11:58, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I would also suggest that you, if you haven't already, read the pages suggested by Sirfurboy in April. 331dot (talk) 11:28, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have read them both this morning following the block. Kennygc7 (talk) 11:58, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'll just add in support of this editor that I dropped the template and note above on this page as a warning, but I have seen far more egregious edit warring. I expect this is just an editor in good faith who needs to get better acquainted with how we do things here. They seem to recognise that themself. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 12:40, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much! I promise you I only intend to continue on this site with good intentions. I regret my emotion-driven actions as of late. Kennygc7 (talk) 13:05, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
