Take a look at WikiProject AFL if you love your footy. I know you love your Saints, so also take a look at Category:St Kilda Saints players. Cheers, Rogerthat Talk 08:00, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Previews and edit summaries[edit]

G'day Jkmccrann,

I've noticed that you've made quite a few edits in a row in a short period of time, which don't have an edit summary. Just thouht I'd point you at the Wikipedia:Show preview and Wikipedia:Edit summary pages. Cheers, Alphax τεχ 06:30, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Italian troops in Iraq[edit]

According to this article http://www.arabicnews.com/ansub/Daily/Day/060120/2006012003.html there are 2600 Italian troops in Iraq, and they plan to withdraw 1,000 of them by June, and ultimately pull out. It will be interesting to see how this works.

Please be polite[edit]

Re this. No matter what you may think about another persons edit, please assume good faith, maintain civilty and avoid personal attacks. These are official policies of Wikipedia that all editors are expected to abide by. Calling someone an "idiot" is totally uncalled for. -- I@ntalk 10:10, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I should've been clearer. I left a reply on the talk page. 71.31.145.55 03:30, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop cutting-and-pasting content[edit]

Please please read Help:Moving a page for the preferred method of page moves, before doing any more. By cutting and pasting, you leave behind the whole page edit history. Thanks. --Quiddity·(talk) 18:31, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, cut/pasting Bob Carr was not the right way to do it. See Quiddity's link. I have fixed the move in that case.--Commander Keane 13:43, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You should also check out Wikipedia:Disambiguation. There are a number of templates you should be using for human dab pages. eg {{Hndis}} and {{Otherpeople}}. See Category:Disambiguation and redirection templates for a full list.
And lastly, if there are only two people/things with the same name, a dab-link at the top is preferable to creating a whole dab-page. That way there are less links to update. (eg John Fahey). Thanks again :) --Quiddity·(talk) 18:20, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Seconded. Creating dab pages when there are only 2 people with that name that have articles is most likely useless. And if it's useful, cut and paste moved dab pages create a ton of extra work for others who have to fix them. Stop doing it. - Bobet 10:25, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

EU population[edit]

From January 2007 two new nations joined the European Union, Romania and Bulgaria. I Updated the population figure for the EU using the Eurostat population data for 2005, and adding Romania and Bulgaria data from the List of countries by population page. You provided an even more updated figure for 2006, and I added back Romania and Bulgaria that are now part of the European Union. That's how I got 522,337,000 people. --giandrea 19:07, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, I've reverted to your edit. Thanks for pointing it out, I was obviously wrong... --giandrea 19:30, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Repost of Brisbane FC[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Brisbane FC, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Brisbane FC was previously deleted as a result of an articles for deletion (or another XfD)

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Brisbane FC, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 18:43, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copy of comments at Brisbane FC[edit]

Counter to what you have asserted - Brisbane FC, just like Melbourne FC or Geelong FC, is the footy club in that town. If you don't believe that assertion, ask the club themselves - they will confirm it.jkm 19:33, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

http://www.footypedia.com/00000531.htm http://www.fanfooty.com.au/players/profile.php?firstname=Anthony&surname=Corrie http://www.owntheg.com/links/footy/2/Brisbane-Football-Club.html http://www.footystamps.com/pl_booklets.htm http://brisbane-fc.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html http://www.lions.blogr.com.au/

There are a bunch of pages that refer to the Brisbane FC and are referring by that to the Brisbane Lions. It is a common name used to refer to the Lions - by many different people! There's the proof!

The problem is that the article was deleted just a day or two ago as a result of a deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brisbane FC. Most of the sites above are either primary sources or blogs, so it's difficult to see how it could be made verifiable. What I'd suggest if you want it to be recreated is to start a discussion on WikiProject AFL and get a consensus there for forming it. Orderinchaos 19:38, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Jkmccrann! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person.
