Speedy deletion of "Neil D. Fleming"[edit]

A page you created, Neil D. Fleming, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for biographies in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Non-free rationale for File:IG2 colony.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:IG2 colony.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. August 2020[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Zwarte Piet, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:44, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

And, for the record, you blanked a section that you did not start. Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:46, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry Walter, I simply do not want to pursue what I started, since I only recently really grasp the concept of the word controversy. Especially one in which two sides seem to both have deeply rooted feelings. I feel it's more contributing to world peace to leave this one the way it is an focus my energies elsewhere. Understanding each others viewpoint I feel is key to closing the issue, but even that is sadly more easier said then done. Jaapvstr (talk) 21:05, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And for the record, while my initial edits might have been from an emotional response of what I at the time perceived as great injustice, my views have changed and as a result I do not want to take a side in this. Jaapvstr (talk) 21:16, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Again, you did not start it, I did in response to an anonymous editor's actions. You came to the discussion after some time. If you're claiming to be that anonymous editor, fine, but again, it was not you but me who started the discussion and at least one other editor (if I recall correctly) has discussed there. Walter Görlitz (talk) 22:51, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Walter, I do not want to make comments in this line of thinking, as it might end up getting overly personal, even though I understand that's not your true intention and you simply want to understand a bit better what happened. I do realize on hindsight that the actions that are mine might have stirred up some emotions of hurt or anger, since currently I understand the sensitivity of the issue a lot better. If that may be the case, I do want to offer my sincere and heartfelt apologies to you and whomever else it may concern. I hope that is sufficient for us to part our ways in peace as we each go our seperate ways in live. Jaapvstr (talk) 10:29, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
