Re: OVW Heavyweight Championship

According to your contributions, you've never edited OVW Heavyweight Championship. Do you also edit as an ip? If so, please be aware of wikipedia's policy on WP:SOCKPUPPET. Also when responding to messages left to the ip address, please tell people that you also edit as said ip. If you are 66.138.186.65 (talk · contribs) (I'm assuming so, considering they are the only user I left a message regarding the OVW title for, and you responded to it), then you should be fully aware that there is no justification for this edit.
If people are vandlising the article contrary to the source, warn them. There are templated warnings available at WP:WARN for such purposes. If they continue, escalate the warnings up through the levels and if required, report them to WP:AIV where they may be blocked by an administrator. If the vandalism persists over a long period of time, you may consider requesting WP:RFPP. Hopefully, this will help in future, so that you don't find it necessary to vandalise articles yourself. Thanks, NiciVampireHeart 10:49, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

WWE

Please, stop. Since April 2011, World Wrestling Entertainment change his name to WWE. Hennig won the titles under the WWE, not World Wrestling Entertainment. Here the sources WWE and LA Times --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 18:08, 28 July 2013 (UTC)

I give you two sources about the name change. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 18:15, 28 July 2013 (UTC)

Edit warring.

You should be aware of WP:3RR. "An editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page—whether involving the same or different material—within a 24-hour period. An edit or a series of consecutive edits that undoes other editors' actions—whether in whole or in part—counts as a revert. Violations of the rule normally attract blocks of at least 24 hours. Any appearance of gaming the system by reverting a fourth time just outside the 24-hour slot is likely to be treated as an edit-warring violation."

You've already made four, but I'm giving you another chance, because you at least made an effort to source it. However, CageMatch.net is not an official TNA source, so it doesn't address the WP:WAF issues about primary information. It is also not listed as reliable in the Wrestling Wikiproject's style guide and doesn't say they won the tournament, just the final match. Previous World Cups have used a total point system to decide the winner. This point system isn't mentioned and there is no claim that the team who won the last match won the Cup. So this is still contentious, poorly-sourced material about a living person and will be removed, per policy. InedibleHulk (talk) 02:23, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

Impact

Hey I saw you added two new PPV specials for iMPACT. I was wondering where you saw these. If you have no source then they need to be removed. BlackDragon 22:59, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

FCW

Hi. I use Cagematch, even I have an account. But Cagematch is the only source. Other souurces, OWOW, SLAM, Solie, Wrestling Titles say that Hennig and Tuft never won the titles. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 21:00, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

Kongo

Cheick Guillaume Ouedraogo is his real name, Kongo is a nickname, so there why it's in the alias. Please quit reverting my edits, they are correct and you could violate the rule about edit warring. 173.171.83.140 (talk) 20:45, 8 September 2013 (UTC)

Removing edits by others

Please don't remove edits by other people as you did with Luchuslu's comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stephanie Eggink. That is considered a major violation of WP procedures. Papaursa (talk) 21:13, 8 September 2013 (UTC)

3 Revert Rule broken.

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at List of current WSOF fighters shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. 173.171.83.140 (talk) 08:48, 29 September 2013 (UTC)

Page protected for 3 days to allow discussion. You are lucky I got that done, as I was tempted to drag you both in front of WP:AN3. Please discuss before you edit this page again. --Mdann52talk to me! 08:56, 29 September 2013 (UTC)

WSOF fighters list discussion

The WSOF site made a typo, the actual fighters facebook pages, as well as very many MMA related sources, including Sherdog, tapology, UG, etc., All have the correct spelling, WSOF made a typo, plain and simple.

As far as the symbolism for the champions go, the (C), is always a clickable link to a page about the current champions of the organization, they can simply click the link to know what (C) and (IC) mean. The NC is necessary on the page because newer users will be confused, which is why it's on every other list like page. Let's go with the NC marker, it helps the new users out. 173.171.83.140 (talk) 09:26, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Looks like we reached a consensus.

Take a look at the talk page here, if you want to change anything please discuss on the talk page and come to a consensus before any ideas are made on the new consensus, this way we can avoid a lot of hassle.

Kaz and Eric

Hi. I think that we should talk about it. I delete Kaz and Eric regin because... I think that they aren't recognized as champions. We have sources about they won a match and Cornette vacated the titles, but... http://web.archive.org/web/20100307061608/http://www.tnawrestling.com/roster/tna-world-title-histories official title history doesn't recognized Kaz and Young as champions. Here, you can see: Styles and Tomko were stripped of the titles. The only who can be stripped are the champions and I don't see Kaz & Eric. It's like RVD defeating the Undertaker or Hardcore Holly winning the IC Title. If you want, we can talk with the project so they help us, with we haven't sources (Kaz and Young profiles listed them as multi-time World Tag team champions, but TNA doesn't say the partners and usually, TNA merged the NWA Title reigns with the TNA title reigns) --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 13:30, 4 October 2013 (UTC)

I know that Kaz and Eric defeated Styles & Tomko, but TNA Webpage says that he wasn't champions. The difference between Bryan and Kaz and Young is that WWE recognized Bryan as champion before being stripped. For example, RVD defeated The Undertaker and won the WWE Championship, but the decision was reverted. Jericho defeated HHH for the WWE Title and the decision was reverted. RVD and Jericho reigns doesn't count because WWE doesn't recognized the changes. Looks similar to Kaz and Eric. I know that other sources says that Kaz and Eric was champions, but I think that TNA has the last word because it is TNA Story. If you want, I'm gonna start a discussion in the WP talk page, ok? --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 19:02, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
.I just find this. Kaz profile says that he is Two times Tag Team champion. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 19:18, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
I saw the video. But TNA is very clear. "High-flyer Kazarian is recognized as one of TNA’s most talented veterans. A true athlete at heart, he possesses a rare combination of speed and power that can’t be contained. This TNA Superstar dominates the roster with numerous titles and accolades under his belt. He’s a two-time TNA World Tag Team Champion and a five-time X Division Champion." So, Kaz/Eric reign isn't official. Also, the title don't appear in the title story. Two primary sources says that Kaz/Young weren't champions. TNA doesn't recognized the title change. We have to believe in the sources. TNA Tag Team titles are the titles of TNA, so TNA can say if a reign is official or unofficial and TNA says that Kaz and Eric weresn't champions. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 22:31, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
Man, it's simple. TNA website said that Kaz and Eric never were champiosn (TNA said "Tomko and Styles were stripped", not me). Now, TNA says that Kaz is Two times champion, not three. TNA says that Eric is multi time because TNA also counts NWA titles (Storm is 12 times TNA tag Team champion). If TNA says that Kaz and Eric weren champions (I give you the title story and the Kaz profile as sources) they weren't champions. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 00:21, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
First, who are the others? Second, OWOW is a SECONDARY source. TNA Official Title story and TNA Profiles are PRIMARY SOURCE. Second, I explained to you one hundred millions. TNA DOESN'T RECOGNIZED KAZ AND ERIC AS CHAMPIONS. Yes, you have a video that the won a match, but TNA doesn't recognized the change. Do you understand it? If the website of the company doesn't show the title change, they weren't champions --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 00:27, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
But Bleacher report isn't TNA. If we are talking about a TNA title, we need that TNA recognized, and TNA says that the weren't champions. Also, Bleacher report is listed as a unreliable source --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 00:53, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

TNA isn't up to date it hasn't updated the profile of Kazarian JMichael22 (talk) 00:57, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

WSOF event articles

First off, thanks for your work on the WSOF event articles, they look great! I'm not sure you're aware of the mixed martial arts WikiProject, but please take a look at WP:MMA and if you're interested sign up and add the {{User_WikiProject_Mixed_Martial_Arts}} userbox to your UserPage. Now for the sad news, it looks like there has been some discussion to merge the WSOF event articles into omnibus articles. If done right none of the content will be lost, it will just all reside on 2012 in World Series of Fighting and 2013 in World Series of Fighting instead of individual articles for each event. Let me know if you have any questions about anything, glad to see that you've already done so much work on MMA pages! Kevlar (talk) 04:26, 13 October 2013 (UTC)

Tag titles

Hmm. I'm not sure if the youtube clip would work and Bleacherreport is unreliable. However, solie.org and OWOW were already listed at WP:PW and HHH said you posted them originally. I think they should be reliable enough for this, considering they're just backing up what was already said on Kaz's impactwrestling.com profile anyway.LM2000 (talk) 01:04, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

Sorry I kind of goofed up, I explained myself on WP:PW. If you can prove that Kaz's profile hasn't been updated since his recent title reign, then that's proof that they kind of recognize it, making it somewhat official. If not then maybe we can list it with an asterisk.LM2000 (talk) 01:20, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
Please. We still discussing the matter. Don't change the article until we have a decission. We have only one opinion, wait until other, like Hulk, McPhill or STATIC give us their opinions. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 16:38, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
I'll wait to see what others say, like HHH says, just to be on the safe side. Also, like Nici said, there's a big edit war going on, I don't want to just step in the middle of that. Let this discussion go on for a little more, and if we get a strong consensus going then I'll go ahead and readd the reign. I think the evidence you just provided should be good enough for most people. Sound good?LM2000 (talk) 18:00, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

Re: TNA Tag Titles

I do not have the time, energy, nor inclination to wade into this argument, especially when I don't watch TNA and couldn't tell you a thing about it. What I will say is that both you and User:HHH Pedrigree need to stop edit warring before the pair of you get blocked. Take it to the talk page and discuss it. If you can't find an agreement between the two of you, consider dispute resolution. NiciVampireHeart 17:34, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

EC3

Please, dont move Derrick Bateman's article to EC3. Wikipedia says that the article name must be the common name and his common name is Derrick Bateman. He spent years in WWE as Bateman. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 02:23, 21 October 2013 (UTC)

We provide sources in articles to verify information. If the source does not contain the information, then there is no verification and the source should not be in the article. If you have provided cites that do not contain the information they are referencing elsewhere, I strongly suggest you remove them, and refrain from doing this again. It is highly misleading. Do not re-add this, without providing a reliable cite that actually verifies his championship win. NiciVampireHeart 03:09, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

MAV TITLE

Hi. Are you sure? Usually, I see User:RibbonSalminen reverted combined list which titles only have one time wrestlers (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=IWGP_Intercontinental_Championship&diff=560063637&oldid=560061459). No reigns to combine, not necesary. Also, If we want to order by reign lenght, we can use the table himself. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 13:23, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

Jon Andersen/Strong Man

I didn't actually count the matches before I made that statement, it certainly felt like Sombra and Conway are around more than Strong Man, they're certainly presented as bigger deals in the promotion. Strong Man is basically a sideshow freak who gets a booking anytime Nakanishi needs a partner. Sombra has also worked quite regularly for NJPW since 2010 (+held an IWGP title) and by counting the matches, one can see that so far this year, Sombra has had 16 matches for NJPW and Strong Man 14. Anywho, none of this matters as none of them are official members of the roster. Some time ago Strong Man actually was on the official roster page (as one can see by the fact that he has a NJPW profile), but he has since been removed from there.リボン・サルミネン (Ribbon Salminen) (talk) 19:47, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

I don't think Strong Man just sits on his ass and eats popcorn, whenever New Japan doesn't book him. He probably works somewhere on the indy circuit, but for promotions so small that even Cagematch doesn't care about them.リボン・サルミネン (Ribbon Salminen) (talk) 20:02, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

Team Dixie

I think you've got some ownership issues with this article, which you created. But that's alright, I won't edit war even though I think your reverts make no sense.LM2000 (talk) 04:30, 8 August 2014 (UTC)

The wikiproject in the past has made an attempt to limit and explain jargon so that these articles are accessible to everybody. You describe them as a villainous faction, which is good. Then you describe heel wrestlers, without explaining that villainous wrestlers and heels are the same thing. My edits accomplished that and managed to limit it to linking heel once. I also indicated that the faction was led by Dixie, that was removed without explanation. An expanded lede which explains the point of the faction would be somewhat desirable, no? I've seen you edit war with others in the past and can tell you're especially motivated in this case since it's an article which you created. I have absolutely no interest in pursuing this further as I don't have the motivation that you nor the people you've warred in the past with had. Good luck with your article.LM2000 (talk) 04:46, 8 August 2014 (UTC)

You changed the article to "Virgil (wrestler)" "Tyler Breeze" without consensus, so I had the name change reverted. It was proposed and rejected. Perhaps you should propose the renaming; WP:RM can instruct you how to implement a request. --George Ho (talk) 05:19, 10 August 2014 (UTC)

Tag Team Championships

Please, stop using the term "Tag Team Championships" in articles. This is grammatically incorrect when referring to a single title. It was discussed pretty extensively here, but to summarize, quoting Feedback "..."tag titles" is a correct term as two people will both become "tag team champions". The only thing that should never be plural is "championship"". There is one championship, two championship belts. リボン・サルミネン (Ribbon Salminen) (talk) 20:38, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

Edge

It was explained so thoroughly in the move discussion that I really don't know how else to say it. Edge isn't like David Arquette or Dennis Rodman, he isn't known for being an actor first and a wrestler on the side. He's notable because of his 15 years in WWE so he doesn't get a separate infobox like they do. If Dwayne Johnson doesn't get a separate infobox there's no way Edge gets one.LM2000 (talk) 23:50, 27 August 2014 (UTC)

NFL playoff appearances

Hi, please provide a reliable source for such an NFL playoff appearances table. This is extremely important since the National Football League playoffs page has been promoted to Good Article status. It is also unclear as to the scope of the table. Does it go all the way back to when the NFL Championship Game was first implemented in 1933? Are you also counting the appearances in the American Football League playoffs, prior to the 1970 AFL-NFL merger, when 10 teams use to be part of the American Football League. Thanks. Zzyzx11 (talk) 10:02, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

Stanley Cup playoff appearances

Hi, please provide a reliable source for such a Stanley Cup playoff appearances table. This is especially needed for the total for the Montreal Canadiens. Where are you getting 84 from? Remember, the Stanley Cup has NOT always been solely the NHL championship trophy, and that the Canadiens existed before the NHL was founded. And if you are going to apply the same criteria of inclusion for the Canadiens, then you should do the same for all the teams that competed for the Cup, including when the Cup playoffs were a "World Series" between various hockey league champions (1915-1926) and during the 1893 to 1914 Challenge Cup era. If you are only listing NHL playoff appearances instead (and thus excluding the time when the Canadiens were part of the National Hockey Association), then that needs to be clear. Thanks. Is WSOF now top tier?

JMichael22 A few months ago there was discussion about WSOF being Top tier or not with the consensus being NOT but that it might change in - well a few months time which is about now. Please take a look at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Mixed martial arts/MMA notability/Archive 9. If you think that WSOF is now Top tier please let me know and we can open a discussion about it and if consensus is reached - promote it. I think the minimum is 3 top ten fighters currently active with top ten being defined by a reliable source. My feeling is not yet but I am prepared to be wrong. Other things to consider is from what date for men and what date (if applicable) for women - the two are separate. I noticed you did not appear to be part of those past discussions. If we open the discussion (again let me know what you think) then it is worthwhile to ping a few others that contribute to MMA articles to get a broader consensus.

On a related note I think the WP:MMANOT is a very useful way to draw the line. It was developed over a long time by consensus but even so there will always be less than notable that get across and some more than notable than don't. Luckily for the latter there is WP:GNG but in my opinion Justin Gaethje doesn't meet WP:GNG. But that is just my opinion.Peter Rehse (talk) 13:37, 16 November 2014 (UTC)

Speedy updates

Hello, how are you? I'd like to ask you to avoid speedy updates. Those are the ones in which editors starting updating every detail separately before the official announcement of the fight. If it ended in a decision, it doesn't hurt to wait for the official announcement to update everything instead of just adding the round and minutes, right? So please, avoid that. Thanks. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 23:04, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

Once again you're making those speedy updates... Seriously, why do you have to be so stubborn about that? If you wait for official announcement, it avoids several unnecessary updates and possible mistakes. You're more than welcome to help articles, but please don't do that. Edits will be reverted and that's not necessary if you don't actas a speedy editor. Thanks (Btw, do not reply in my talk page. This conversation began here, it's supposed to stick to the same page to avoid loss of timeline). Gsfelipe94 (talk) 01:58, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
Just saw here, you also did it back in July of last year... So you've done it before and did not correct it. And you added the wrong time (possibly based on your "perception" of the clock) in both of Magny and Maia's articles, which also shows there's another thing wrong. That's why you have to wait for the official announcement of the result. I hope this discussion does not need to take place again in the future, man. It's easy to do that. Removing Red Links

Howdy, I noticed that you unlinked red links in a wrestling article (Lucha Underground tournaments). I know we cannot know every single rule or guideline on Wikipedia so I figured I would share one with you as it looks you may not be aware of it: WP:RED. This states "Do not remove red links unless you are certain that Wikipedia should not have an article on that subject". I am of the belief that the linked article(s) are notable enough but just do not have an article yet. It is not okay to remove a link because it is red, it can be detrimental to Wikipedia. If you need more details I suggest you read the WP:RED page. So please keep that in mind before indiscriminately removing red links. Thank you and happy editing.  MPJ-US  10:26, 17 September 2015 (UTC)

unsourced / poorly sourced stuff

Hi JMichael22, you've got to be careful about adding unsourced stuff or unreliably sourced material. For wrestling, only use sources from WP:PW/RS. Regarding Dario Cueto, you wrote that Cueto made his wrestling debut in October 2014, but I found two sources saying he appeared at Triplemanía XXII, which was earlier in 2014. starship.paint ~ KO 07:24, 23 September 2015 (UTC)

  • I hid some stuff because there are no sources in the Filmography section. Certainly not for the episodes. Unsourced material is easily challenged and may be removed. WP:OR and WP:V come into play. starship.paint ~ KO 23:54, 23 September 2015 (UTC)

TNA Championship

Do not keep adding a venue for a supposed championship crowning. They may promote it like that, but in wrestling anything can happen in storyline. There may be a double result or some other form of controversy. Therefore you can not state that there will be a new champion at that venue or on that date no matter what sources predict due to the crystal ball rule. Wait until the show is done and we actually have a new champion before adding that information. Mega Z090 (talk) 23:00, 26 December 2015 (UTC)

Yes, you have. The roster is an article. You can't suddenly delete wrestlers without a source, you need a source about them leaving GFW (for example, GWF announcing it) or like Anderson and Gallows, they signed a contract with WWE. But you can't delete sourced wrestler just because they don't appear at the event, that's OR. For example, you deleted Lee and Everett. Why? DJ Z appeared at GFW. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 20:22, 3 May 2016 (UTC)

Ways to improve World Series of Fighting 32: Moraes vs. Hill 2

Hi, I'm East Anglian Regional. JMichael22, thanks for creating World Series of Fighting 32: Moraes vs. Hill 2!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Tip: Add references to the table on the right.

Purpose of navigation.boxes

Looking at your comment on that revert I wonder if you actually know the point of navigation boxes? To give the readers a way to go to related articles without clicking through other articles. By your logic we can just link "Lucha Underground" since it has links to all those articles? And illogically yoilu want to keep.Aztec Warfare linked even though they are all pn the same page. So for navigatjonal reasons all relevant articles should be linked in the LU navigation box - you know like they are in every other wrestling navigation box there is.  MPJ-DK *

  • So the answer is "no" then, you don't understand the point of the navigation box. By your logic the nav box can.just be a link to Lucha Underground since your can click through to find other links. Nav boxes are to avoid "click through" for easier navigation. That is litterally the main point of the navigation boxes.  MPJ-DK  12:58, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
  • So by your logic WSOF 32 does not need to be in the info box used for those shows since that already links to List of WSOF events. Just want to be sure I understand your logic and how you actually disagree with yourself on this.  MPJ-DK *
  • What is there to discuss, do please see your own examples of a WrestleMania and Bound for Glory. WWE and TNA show templates have links to individual shows. Why discuss with everyone else when everyone else agrees with me and include each year's event in the Info Box for their PPVs. You disagree with the consensus, I agree with the consensus - I am not the one who needs to discuss it. MPJ-DK  17:22, 3 August 2016 (UTC)

Reasons for the changes to the table? Yours make no sense. Boxing records are not the same as MMA records, nor should they be. Different projects. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 22:58, 13 September 2016 (UTC)

Then I'd recommend a read of this MOS for boxing articles, which will become widespread soon within WikiProject Boxing. It has been designed over the past year to cover a lot of formatting issues regarding boxing articles, and record tables were one of them—e.g., ditching all that small text and fully-worded months you keep trying to introduce, plus you've got rid of the tooltips explaining "SD", "MD", "UD", etc., which were essential. At no point have boxing records resembled MMA ones. Not ever. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 23:06, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
As for how exactly they're different, I'll point out two elements which set them apart: 1. Per MOS:DATEFORMAT, shortened months are acceptable for tables, and the boxing ones are cramped enough as it is; 2. Per MOS:FONTSIZE, small text should be used sparingly. Therefore, only the Location and Notes columns are really needed for it, plus round-end times. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 23:12, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
How about if the entire table were to use "font-size:85", and no individual small text? Observe this example at my sandbox. That would be similar to the MMA table, but the tooltips must go back in. And as I said, there is no reason not to shorten the dates ("January" → "Jan") for further streamlining, since you brought it up. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 23:29, 13 September 2016 (UTC)

Adonis Stevenson

Greetings. We've been over this before. MOS:BOXING (in this case, MOS:BOXING/RECORD) has been in place for many months now, and the format you're trying to introduce goes against consensus. I would recommend having an in-depth read of the guideline so as to gain an understanding of how the new format works. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 03:04, 12 November 2016 (UTC)

Is is a different format. The one in place specifies the use of three-letter shortened months, not fully-worded months. Likewise no small text other than for Location and Notes. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 03:10, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
You're really not grasping the definition of a "format" here. It doesn't matter if something applies to an entire table, or specific elements of it (namely dates), it's still a format. And per MOS:DATEFORMAT, three-letter months are widely acceptable in tables, and is therefore used for MOS:BOXING. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 03:13, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
Well exactly. "[W]here brevity is helpful", hence tables. What are you not getting? Mac Dreamstate (talk) 03:15, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
But there is no problem using three-letter months in this case. What are you not getting? MOS:BOXING was designed (and agreed upon via consensus long ago) to use a three-letter format exclusively. A whole guideline doesn't have to be changed, nor discussion started at a single article talk page, simply because one user can't grasp the use of a basic and widely acceptable format. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 03:19, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
Right back at you—the argument you're presenting is going nowhere, and you're completely failing to grasp how a Wikipedia MOS (Manual of Style) works, and what a consensus is. From December 2015 onwards there was a consensus at WikiProject Boxing to use three-letter months for all boxing articles across WP. That was it. Not fully-worded months; three-letter months, which was an acceptable format for tables per MOS:DATEFORMAT. Done. It's not changing now, having only been in place for a year, and across hundreds of boxing articles. The only one making a big deal of it is you. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 03:29, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
Great, glad you finally got it.. or got something, at least (I was almost about to make a Chris Jericho reference there, heh). Admittedly your lack of punctuation makes reading your posts difficult, so this exchange was a bit of a struggle—I certainly tried my best. If you want someone to complain to, I wholeheartedly suggest WP:DRN. In fact I'd be glad to join you there. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 03:40, 12 November 2016 (UTC)

Re: Question

Jeez, learn to use punctuation already—I can barely read what you're saying. And I didn't "follow" shit. I've been posting regularly at Talk:WikiProject Boxing for two years, communicating with other users and putting a whole lot of effort into ironing out the inconsistency problems which have plagued articles. Of course I was going to post an opinion there, and I hope others will too. This isn't about you, so get over yourself. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 15:16, 16 November 2016 (UTC)

Haha You really wanna say WP:CRYSTAL if your a Blue Jays fan and you follow them on any source of social media then you would know his signing was no guess or speculation Blue Jays Twitter TSN ESPN were all saying it was official before it was announced today so its just common sense and I posted a reliable source saying that he agreed to a three-year deal that's not Crystalball JMichael22 (talk) 20:09, 18 November 2016 (UTC)
I have moved your response here to keep the discussion together. Maybe you need someone to illustrate to you what an official signing looks like. "Agreed to" isn't an official signing, it is an agreement pending the completion of a physical and confirmation by the team. The signing doesn't become official until the player passes their physical and the team confirms it, and it doesn't matter what TSN, ESPN, or anyone else says. NBA teams' accomplishments and records

Please stop updating the statistics in Franchise leaders sections as that is AGAINST the consensus of the WikiProject and Wikipedia in general. Statistics can be updated after the season is over. – Sabbatino (talk) 16:35, 30 November 2016 (UTC)

Not really sure why You messaged me or what your meaning by your comment it's not really anything that goes against Wikipedia policy's so in the future try to be a little more clear on what your trying to say all I'm doing is creating the main pages for a NBA team's franchise records and placing them on the main page of the team no where does it say its against policy to do that the pages are being viewed over and accepted by other people so next time when you feel a certain way please be more clear about what your trying to say thank you JMichael22 (talk) 17:33, 30 November 2016 (UTC)

Ohhhhh my well to help you understand and grasp the concept of things better I'll explain to you the process okay User:Sabbatino so please read very carefully (when a page is created it must hold the correct up to date information on it so as I am created a page I am putting the most up to date information that i a man provided from the sources I use so when you say "You're updating the statics of franchise leaders, which is against the community's consensus and Wikipedia s general rules" that's where I stop and say well no I'm not all I'm doing it placing the up to date information as of the date the page is created I know that the stats can only be refreshed once the season has ended but for you to not understand that I think you should do a little more research into grasping that concept instead wasting time messaging me about a concept you yet to understand I've been editing and creating pages enough to understand the rules but thanks for your concern JMichael22 (talk) 17:55, 30 November 2016 (UTC)

Re: Boxing Rec Question

There was consideration back in December 2015 to split the Round, time column, but it would've resulted in a whole bunch of blank fields for decision results, or having "3:00" in them—which just looks flat-out strange, even in the MMA records. As for different record formats, I can't say much about that. The kickboxing ones look bizarre to me, but I've never bothered with them because I don't watch the sport (used to sometimes in the Remy Bonjasky days). The current boxing records were adopted and inspired by the MMA records, but the intention was never to imitate them—there's a lot of difference between boxing and MMA. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 20:58, 19 August 2017 (UTC)

Re: Money Belt

Doesn't matter what the corrupt WBC says—a ceremonial and laughable "Money Belt" is not a legit world title and never will be; the current WBC light middleweight champion is Jermell Charlo. Therefore it doesn't belong in that section per long-standing consensus for MOS:BOXING, specifically MOS:BOXING/RECORDNOT. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 14:46, 24 August 2017 (UTC)

Additionally, I have removed it from the record table on Conor McGregor as well. — nihlus kryik  (talk) 14:53, 24 August 2017 (UTC)
To help, these do not belong in the tables:
  • "Professional debut" is deprecated; due to the No. column, this is redundant unless a boxer's debut occurred under disputed circumstances.
  • Routine in-fight details such as knockdowns, point deductions, or judges' scorecards.
  • Title eliminators; most fights are for some kind of sanctioning body ranking, and eliminators do not always mean a guaranteed title opportunity.
  • Honorary titles such as WBC Diamond or WBO Super.
  • Listing undisputed titles is redundant, since the inclusion of the appropriate sanctioning bodies (WBA, WBC, IBF; and WBO after 2006) already covers it. Undisputed titles can, however, be expanded upon in the succession box at the bottom of the article.
  • If a title was not at stake for a boxer who missed weight, then it does not need mentioning at all; only mention it on the record for the boxer who was eligible to fight for it.
  • Post-fight awards such as The Ring Fight of the Year or The Ring Upset of the Year; they also belong in the succession box.
  • Details surrounding pre- or post-fight circumstances including catchweights, boxers losing titles on the scales, vacating, or being stripped; they are better served in the article body.
  • Trivia such as "first twelve-rounder", "first bout on network TV", or other "first"s; best explained in the article body.
  • Extra rows for retirements, suspensions or other periods of inactivity: example.
The Money Belt is an honorary title and not a legitimate title. — nihlus kryik  (talk) 14:57, 24 August 2017 (UTC)
It says as clear as day: "Honorary titles such as WBC Diamond" That includes any of the WBC's silly made-up trinkets which aren't legit world titles. It's not me who's deciding any of this—consensus for the MOS was formed at WikiProject Boxing almost two years ago. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 14:58, 24 August 2017 (UTC)

Re: Mashantucket

I can never make out heads nor tails of what you write, due to your complete lack of paragraphs and punctuation. After you gave me this ("iv heard enough from him"), it shows that you know full well we don't see eye-to-eye on anything around here. I'll address your points either way:

  1. Official Foxwoods website, and it says right there—Ledyard, in which Mashantucket is located. MOS:BOXING/RECORD has had that guideline place for almost two years without dispute.
  2. I very clearly do put NYC as the location of Barclays Center, in all record tables. That's the whole point. Brooklyn, an area, is within the city of NYC. Same logic as Mashantucket, an area, is within the town of Ledyard.

Since you've already presumptuously dismissed my stance as "defeated", and declared yourself the "winner", that means we need no further discussion. No editors besides yourself have disputed the Ledyard thing on WikiProject Project since the MOS was created, hence longstanding consensus. Also, read WP:WINNING. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 02:53, 9 December 2017 (UTC)

You've got it wrong on this. Per WP:CCC, the editor who has an issue with existing consensus should bring it up at a talk page, which you've been invited to do by two editors adhering to that consensus. You're the one continuing to edit war, by reverting four times now. Not a good look. I'll let the folks at WP:EWN handle it. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 03:06, 9 December 2017 (UTC)

Re: Can you help me

WP:REQMOVE has several options, and can be quite complicated to read through (me included). You need to first decide whether your move request is likely to be disputed by other editors, or if you think no-one will have a problem with it. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 21:01, 19 December 2017 (UTC)

I'll try to simplify the instructions at WP:ARCHIVE as best as I can:

  1. Copy the entire contents of your talk page as it is currently;
  2. Click on this link – User talk:JMichael22/Archive 1 – to create a new page for where your archive will go;
  3. Paste the aforementioned contents onto that new page, and add {{Talk archive}} at the very top and bottom;
  4. Save the whole thing as if you were creating a new article;
  5. Paste this box – {{Archive box|[[User talk:JMichael22/Archive 1|Archives 2013–2017]]}} – at the top of your now-empty talk page, and that should be done. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 19:46, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
