Speedy deletion of Matt Wilson (animator)[edit]

A tag has been placed on Matt Wilson (animator) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 19:38, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Joe the Plumber[edit]

I have nominated Joe the Plumber, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Joe the Plumber. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Vermont[edit]

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to the Vermont page. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. 11:46, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on D.L. Hughley Breaks the News requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Your edits to The Powerpuff Girls[edit]

Please don't add {{stub}} tags to talk pages as you did to Talk:Washington's 5th congressional district and Talk:Résumé candidate - it just wastes time of stub-sorters. Thanks. PamD (talk) 07:57, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/PWeeHurman for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 15:58, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Confused about this Sockpuppet thing[edit]

Not sure why I've been banned over this indefinitely? It's because my name is close to some of PWeeHurman's sockpuppets' names, right? J'onn J'onzz is a comic book character, the Martian Manhunter... It is not some unique name PWeeHurman thought up... Also, from what I gather, PWee began doing this years after I first registered in 2006. I've consistently edited since then and while some of my earlier edits WERE vandalism, so I can understand why I am being viewed with suspicion here, but I haven't done that in quite a while, so... I suppose about the extent of my argument for my being unbanned is simply that I am not PWeeHurman. From my scan of his accounts, they have mostly been blocked before they could make too many edits... and like I said, I've been editing for four years now. I can't comprehend why I would make all these sockpuppet accounts when my current one has never been suspended. Besides, all the sockpuppets of this guy are fairly explicitly this guy's sockpuppets, while I am... well... not, and I think there is a good deal of evidence if you look through my contributions. Well, get back to me I suppose. I would hate to have my account of four years on a very useful site thrown away just because someone else has been using a similar (and fairly common, I've met a few other J'onn J'onzzes online, usually ones that actually had the same, correct spelling as me, unlike this person's JonyJonnz or whatever) name.J'onn J'onzz (talk) 00:27, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please assume good faith that no one is attempting to "get back at you". The name is inline with one of his preferred naming schemas, and so was the tone of your post. If you are not a sock, the check user will clear you and you will be unblocked, and you have my deepest apologies. As you have looked through the case, I'm sure you can see why we err on the side of caution with the breadth of his edits. I have made note of your protest and explanation at the SPI page for you. If you wish to do a formal unblock request, you need to use the {{unblock}} template per the instructions you should see when you try to edit. Meanwhile, I'd suggest revisiting WP:AGF and [{WP:CIVIL]] regarding the post you made at Talk:Dragon Ball[1] that first brought you to my attention and drew my concern, as it was the sort of post PWeeHurman would make, not an editor seeking legitimate, polite discourse.-- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 00:42, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock|The primary reason I'd like to appeal this is because I am not a sock puppet of PWeeHurman. I understand that my username is somewhat similar to some of his sockpuppets and judging by the number of accounts he has created I understand the desire to prevent him from having anymore, but I think if a more thorough review of my editing history was conducted it would be found that I simply am not PWeeHurman, and that while I have made ill advised edits they are not nearly to the extremes that PWeeHurman seems to resort to. I am not sure how similar our debating styles are, as I haven't looked through all his statements, and surely mine is not perfect due to my youth but I am certain there are differences.

I am not assuming there is some sort of conspiracy against me, I am simply saying that I do not wish to be banned due to a username misunderstanding. I've been looking up previous cases with similar circumstances, such as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/JoseinWinnipeg/Archive so there is certainly a precedent for bannings due to mistaken identity. I'm not sure if this PWeeHurman usually signs up on Proxy websites or not, but you could do an IP check on me, I am not using one and I doubt my IP address is anywhere near his his normal IP address, if he has ever used one.

Thanks, I will try to be more civil in the future (if I am allowed one) if that is part of the reason I was banned, as I understand from the post by AnmaFinotera.}}

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Zero Hour: Crisis in Time, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page JSA (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you.

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. Please remember to observe this. Thank you.

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style makes articles harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

Please don't change the format of dates. As a general rule, if an article has evolved using predominantly one format, the dates should be left in the format they were originally written in, unless there are reasons for changing it based on strong national ties to the topic. Please also note that Wikipedia does not use ordinal suffixes (e.g., st, nd, th), articles, or leading zeros on dates.

For more information about how dates should be written on Wikipedia, please see this article.

If you have any questions about this, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Enjoy your time on Wikipedia. Thank you.

Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. Please use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did, and feel free to use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do. Thank you.

Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you.

This is the only warning you will receive. Your recent vandalism will not be tolerated. Although vandalizing articles on occasions that are days or weeks apart from each other sometimes prevents editors from being blocked, your continued vandalism constitutes a long term pattern of abuse. The next time you vandalize a page, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia without further notice.

Here you hijacked the article Zhang Heng and lied in your edit summary. (WP Editor 2011 (talk) 03:44, 27 April 2012 (UTC))[reply]

Seven warnings, including a final warning, seems a bit much for something that occurred in September 2008, although you should never have done that and doing it again would be a pretty bad idea. Ironic that the editor who warned you did the same thing recently. Dougweller (talk) 10:41, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
