Archie has always been a male name. "Archie" is a reduced form of the English name "Archibald," which means something like "nobly bold." Hi Inky! You should now find a model Wikipedia article in the place of the former page-long advertising puff for the magazine. The article includes details of the main competitors to NetGuide, complete with links - well, what did they expect?
