your email[edit]

Hello Igbofur. Thank you for your email. I wanted to point out a way to make suggestions for improving an article without editing the article yourself. You can make an edit request to correct errors in the article. The information page edit request has instructions and some examples. You can also use edit requests to address issues with the quality of a source. If a statement in an article is source to a primary source, and that has been highlighted with a {{primary source inline}} or {{citation needed}} template, you can suggest a (better) source. You don't have to use a {{Request edit}} template for that, you can simply say; the statement xyz, tagged with a citation needed template , can be sourced to this source, and provide a url (or a full citation). To use a full citation in a talk page, you can use the {{Reflist-talk}} template. Here's an example of what that looks like: [1]

April 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. – NJD-DE (talk) 17:45, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing this out NJD-DE I am new to wikipedia and just learning. I went back and signed my comments and will sign in future! Best, Igbofur (talk) 18:21, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Igbofur, oh you wouldn't have needed to sign these previous edits. Maybe should've mentioned that I had done that already for you. Anyways, guess was a good practice. Again, welcome to Wikipedia and I hope you like it here. Cheers, – NJD-DE (talk) 18:24, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
