July 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Proton-Antiproton Collider, from its old location at User:Idastorehaug/Proton-Antiproton Collider. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 16:37, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Blanking[edit]

In this edit to UA2 experiment, you deleted an entire paragraph of sourced material with no explanation. There may well be a valid reason to delete this paragraph, but you should discuss it first before deleting the material. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 13:00, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

WikiDan61, I deleted it because it concerned the Draft: Proton-Antiproton Collider, and I moved the paragraphs there. Next time I will make a comment - thank you for the reminder. Idastorehaug (talk) 15:40, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Proton-Antiproton Collider[edit]

When you first created Proton-Antiproton Collider, it consisted of a single paragraph with insufficient information to distinguish it from the information contained at Super Proton Synchrotron. However, your expansion in the draft space has certainly improved on that first effort. I would recommend using the requested moves process to request that your draft be moved to Proton-Antiproton Collider over the existing redirect. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 13:05, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Idastorehaug, I'm responding here to keep things between, you and I and WikiDan61 in one place. I agree with you and Dan in regards to that it is substantial enough to stand on its own. Given that the redirect actually has some history to it, I can't do it by myself. I will however comment on the Draft page that I am OK with it being moved to mainspace. I'll include a reference to this thread which, I think, should be enough for someone who can do the move doing so.Naraht (talk) 15:07, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Naraht, Thank you both for positive response! This is a new situation for me, and I do not completely understand if I need to do something to request the move? I can see that you edited into the Request move?Idastorehaug (talk) 15:36, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Idastorehaug, WikiDan61. (Fixed some things in this thread. I've done the REQMOVE, now we just wait (a short amount of time). If it hasn't happened by Wednesday, I'll see what else I can do.Naraht (talk) 16:22, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Been moved[edit]

WikiDan61, Idastorehaug Well, it was moved, but not quite as expected. It was moved to Proton-Antiproton Collider and then moved to Proton–Antiproton Collider which has an endash rather than the original hyphen. I think that we're done now. :)Naraht (talk) 20:26, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

AfC notification: Draft:Proton-Antiproton Collider has a new comment[edit]

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Proton-Antiproton Collider. Thanks! Naraht (talk) 15:11, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

CERN Linacs[edit]

Hi. First off, thanks for your monster efforts in creating and expanding historical CERN-related articles. I for one really appreciate it. I noticed on your user page a link to User:Idastorehaug/Linac. I just want to point you to the existing page, if you haven't already found it: CERN Hadron LINACs. — dukwon (talk) (contribs) 17:16, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

John Rushbrbrooke[edit]

Is there any particular reason you'dlike it deleted? He seems notable, and the article is straightforward? I'm holding off on deletion a littlre while for your reply DGG ( talk ) 18:42, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

DGG, The article has already been published here John Gordon Rushbrooke, so this is an old draft I forgot to delete. I would appreciate if you could delete it. Idastorehaug (talk) 18:45, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

UA5 experiment[edit]

Thanks for creating the article UA5 experiment. That's a real walk down memory lane for me as I was actually a very junior member of the UA5 physics team all those years ago. I'd be interested to know how you got interested in writing up the work being done at CERN back then. MichaelMaggs (talk) 22:02, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
