Orphaned non-free media (File:DadWhoKnewTooLittle.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:DadWhoKnewTooLittle.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:11, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

More Kanye guests / Michael[edit]

I thought you might be interested in this - among it are several guest appearances not already listed, and also a few more Kanye's early mixtapes (including one called Get Well Soon, although the authenticity of the others is questionable), besides Freshman Adjustment. Read through the whole thing, as there are a lot of songs I'd never heard of here.

Also, taking on any Michael Jackson discography is an impressive undertaking (there are many, some pointless) but I noticed something that is also in a few other discographies: for the Spanish singles chart, the abbreviation should not be ESP as that is an abbreviation of the local name ("España"). As Germany is GER and not DEU, and Switzerland is SWI not SVE, Spain should be instead SPA and not ESP. I Am RufusConversation is a beautiful thing. 08:21, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Glad to help. While I'm at it, would you mind looking at these three discographies and give your comments at their respective FLCs? This would be very helpful, as reviews have been a bit slow on all of them. I Am RufusConversation is a beautiful thing. 18:25, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You can keep trying as many times as you want to fix this one, but I don't think Kamil24 will ever listen. I tried fixing the page myself at least four times, but he persisted with reverting my changes - I eventually pulled out to avoid starting an edit war. He even removed my message to his talk page giving him advice and requesting that he stop. Should one of us report him? Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Non-free rationale for File:The Fried Chicken Flu.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:The Fried Chicken Flu.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:36, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

For this. Users keep changing the song to be "featuring", when both artists are credited for the song. The song will most likely also appear on Cassie's upcoming album. If you can, try to make it stay that way and I'll do the same. Best, Zac  13:48, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Billboard chart changes[edit]

I don't think any changes need to be made to how we list R&B/Hip-Hop Songs positions, but for the Bubbling Under Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles ones, I suggest that the "25-song" clause from any notes relating to these positions be removed, so that the notes simply read "...which acts as an extension to the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart". This would be more logical than simply changing them all to read "10-song", as this way the note can apply to everything before and after the changes.

I was actually quite surprised by the chart changes. Whilst I can understand the changes to the methodology, I'm not sure why the charts need to be shortened. I Am RufusConversation is a beautiful thing. 15:34, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just had a thought: perhaps the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay notes could come into force more often in the future, as the changed methodology means that songs with even moderate amounts of airplay may not appear on the chart. I Am RufusConversation is a beautiful thing. 15:36, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bruises[edit]

Scuse me, but I have question about "Bruises", by Train feat. Ashley Monroe. Was it released as a single? When? Because I see that it entered in the UK Single Chart, but in the official Train's website they didn't mentioned the single's release. So I would like to know when they release the song as a single, because I didn't know it and I was very surprise. Thanks. --Giovannil713 ΦιλελλήνικοςDic me! 15:43, 5 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Green Day[edit]

Hey on the promo singles. Poprocks & When its Time were only official singles in Japan and UK so should they be listed there? And you also removed "Nuclear Family", "Stay the Night" & "The Forgotten". The first two were promo singles and the second is a single for the twilight soundtrack, so these should be readded. And there were 3 song by Green Day in the Out of Focus Vol.1 but im not sure which ones were played. And I have put a bunch not listed on here in the talk page of the discography page such as old EPs and DVD's not listed on there. BlackDragon 19:28, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • The albums such as Tune in tokyo, BBBPP, & Live Tracks are Live EP's so should they go in both section because they are EP's first that just happen to be live ones.
  • Why Cant we have films, they have been there forever until the page change. And they dont have enough to have another page, so i I think it should be added back.
  • DVD - Live At Woodstock '94, Heart Like a Hand Grenade
  • Live - Live On Air
  • EPs - Green Day '97, Pick a Winner ,Berkley Block Buster ,Don't Want To Know If You Are Lonely
  • Compilations - Singles ,Green Day

- Info: 21-track promotional CD sampler to celebrate Green day’s Participation in the induction ceremonies for this year's Rock & Roll hall of Fame. This is a compilation of previous tracks so it should probably go there

  • Here some of these were erased when the page was remodeled of should be re added and Ive seen quite a few Discography page have a section for Samplers as well so should we add them to BlackDragon 22:13, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hey I see that it was a Warning (song) single, I just forgot that it wasnt the albums B-side. (kinda easy to mix up) But i found some more Albums that im not sure where to add or that I dont have a release date for

Hey also on the soundtracks thing, Why cant we say what songs were in movie soundtracks. And also all of the song I put were in their respective movie's Soundtrack so I think it would be best to put them in a seperate section one for songs in another album and one for songs in a movie's soundtrack album BlackDragon 20:28, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

So why did you remove Live On Air and live at Woodstock. Also Stay The Night had the same kinda release as Nuclear family did which is also a promo single. The Forgotten was the lead single from the twilight soundtrack. And why is it fine to add for example Godzilla: The Album to the appearances section but not have its own section. The title was other appearances, so I a sub for song in other albums and one for songs in soundtracks (which is an album) but yet you remove them without saying why BlackDragon 19:44, 23 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

On second thought why did you remove Quatro as well??? BlackDragon 19:51, 23 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This'll Be My Year[edit]

Sorry, but I read in the official website: "This'll Be My Year" is our new single [...] and we made a video for it! So, I understood that this is the new single, but maybe I misunderstood, and if it's so, sorry, but I would like to know why, because it seems to me that This'll be my year is the new single. Then the video isn't a live performance, because the they song and play in playback. --Giovannil713 ΦιλελλήνικοςDic me! 18:57, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Diced Pineapples[edit]

Are we sure that "Diced Pineapples" hasn't been released as a single? I've searched all over the place and can't find any references suggesting that it has been released for airplay, but its chart performance suggests a great amount of airplay that a single normally receives. As you have probably noticed, during its recent chart upheaval Billboard created a new chart known as the R&B Songs chart. As the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart is already listed as "US R&B", have you any ideas as to how the two may be distinguished should both of them be used in the same table?

Also, I'd greatly appreciate any comments you would have to add here. I Am RufusConversation is a beautiful thing. 20:27, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cruel Summer[edit]

Hi. Could you comment at this talk page regarding the article Cruel Summer (GOOD Music album)? It concerns attributing an album's proper artist and title/name, as there are somewhat conflicting sources. Dan56 (talk) 02:45, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work. I spotted two things during a quick scan of the page that you might know an answer to: first, I was under the impression that "Sweat" was released as a single from Doggumentary but appears as an album track on Nothing but the Beat (and media reports suggest that "Where Them Girls At" is the first single from the album anyway), and "Revolver", whilst billed as the "One Love Remix", does not actually credit Guetta as a lead or featured artist of the song. Both of these issues were in place, as far as I can remember, before you began your changes to the page. Again, great job. Notes[edit]

I've had a think, and we should probably remove the "acts as a x-song extension to the y" part from the notes at the bottom of discographies, as in most cases, like the Dutch Tipparade or the Billboard Bubbling Under charts, they aren't proper extensions at all as they can't return to them having entered the main chart. We're probably pushing it somewhat listing the positions at all – even with the notes added – as they break WP:SYNTH, but for me the jury is out on that one, as they would probably just be vandalized back again considering the long-standing practice of listing the positions. I Am RufusConversation is a beautiful thing. 16:37, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Angel Natasha Bedingfield.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Angel Natasha Bedingfield.jpg.

Wikibreak help[edit]

Hey, I'm taking a short Wikibreak to concentrate on some schoolwork. I know this is a big favour, but could you respond to any comments at the FLC for Taio Cruz discography and encourage others to leave some as well? I'd rather like it to pass. I'll probably be back in a couple of weeks. All the best. I Am RufusConversation is a beautiful thing. 07:19, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Page deletion[edit]

Zero(song) has nominated to be deleted due to the fact that it's completely unnecessary due to the fact it is a typo and does not redirect to main "Zero (song)" page. If you have questions, please contact me! Thanks. srsrox BlahBlahBlah... 17:13, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Macklemore discography – "Otherside" Remix[edit]

The status of "Otherside" (Remix) is a bit unclear. Were it available in its original format as a single, I would have placed in the singles table myself, but the charts.org.nz reference seems to list the original version as charting – which has not been released as a single in any format, only available to download from The VS. Redux in the New Zealand iTunes Store. The live version was released as a single, following a check of various iTunes Stores, only in the United Kingdom and the United States. I don;t know if you can make any more sense of this than I can, but I'm not sure about listing the live version in the singles table with that chart position if it really corresponds to the original version. Hello Holiday56, your recently promoted featured list would make a very suitable candidate for main page inclusion if you would be interested in nominating it. We have a process at Today's featured list which enables us to create blurbs and then gather community support for lists to be presented on the main page every Monday. The process allows up to ten nominations at the submissions page, so if it's full you may need to wait, but it would be great if you could consider nominating your list, or helping out with those other lists that have already been nominated. Thanks for your ongoing interest in the featured list process. The Rambling Man (talk) 08:25, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Better source request for File:Michelle Branch - Breathe.jpg[edit]

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 21:20, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews haven't exactly been pouring in. Would you be able to leave some comments? Much appreciated, as always. I Am RufusConversation is a beautiful thing. 21:01, 28 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
