You were undone. Per WP:BRD it's up to you to take this to the talk page and get consensus to include it. Don't keep restoring it. Claiming that the fact that a minor, one page interview is important because it didn't discuss the issue is clutching at straws. Meters (talk) 07:48, 3 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have added my explanations to the bottom of the Johnnie Ray talk page. You find new sections there: Rolling Stone magazine and The Ed Sullivan Show. I do realize that Rolling Stone avoidance of details about his private life had nothing to do with the brevity of the article. The magazine ran lots of short articles that never invaded the subjects' privacy. We are in agreement there. Thank you for your attention.Helping Johnnie's memory (talk) 08:15, 3 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

file upload[edit]

Did you take this picture? File:Johnnie Ray with wife and her two friends including Marion Davies.jpg You state that you own a darkroom print of the picture, but that is not sufficient to allow you to give Wikipedia permission to use the photo. See https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Copyright_rules Meters (talk) 03:29, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The file has now been deleted. Someone else nominated it, but I would have eventually. When someone asks questions about an upload, it means there is a possible problem, and you should deal with it. Meters (talk) 18:36, 10 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I did not take the picture, but I did not steal it from a copyrighted publication, either. I don't even know whether it was ever published. I bought the darkroom print on Ebay.Helping Johnnie's memory (talk) 00:12, 11 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You had no right to upload it to Wikipedia, and it was rightly deleted. Meters (talk) 02:00, 11 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
