Mr Fowler&Fowler and Islescape,

I have noticed that you have placed the article that I have authored under the hoax category. This is based on the fact that I have not provided any references.

Mr fowler/Islescape our family has books about Mr Malhi, by Pakistani journalists, they are in Urdu. If you like I can send you a copy. However I cannot make references to it's ISBN because the material is with the family in Lahore and I am overseas in Australia.

Nawaiwaqt prints an article on Mr Malhi on his Barsi every 12th July, which states just about what my article states. So if you pick any article on the 12th of July from any year after 1991, you will be able to confirm the validity of this article.

However, the authenticity of this article cannot be disputed because I am his grandson and anyone who knows the truth about him would be me.

As to checking the validity of what I have written, it can checked by anyone in the Muslim league archives.

Also our history books mention him and Sialkot convention. How could you not have heard of it?

We have in our collection all the medals that he was awarded at these conventions and I have photographs of Malhi sahib sitting next to the quaid at the sialkot convention.

I have looked at your other articles and I can see that you have particular interest in Pakistan/subcontinent history.

I am assuming that you are more likely than not from Pakistan. If you want I can organise for the material to be sent to you.

However Mr Malhi, nor his Biography is a hoax.

Regards,

Haroon

Dear Haroon, Thanks for your reply. That's fine and apologies for the putting the tag, but please do provide some reliable references, otherwise, sooner or later, someone else will come along, notice the lack of citations, and slap another tag on the article. Thanks Fowler&Fowler. I will see what references I can put in. Regards, Haroon

Hi Haroon, Agreeing with Fowler&fowler it would be really helpful if you could provide some varifiable references (online or published) to Lord Malhi for citations. You may also try searching online editions of Pakistani newspapers. --IslesCapeTalk 22:43, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:MrsRoosevelt.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:MrsRoosevelt.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:29, 30 April 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Radiant chains (talk) 12:29, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Sialkotconference.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Ricky81682 (talk) 00:38, 13 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:ChaudhryNaseerAhmadMalhi.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:ChaudhryNaseerAhmadMalhi.jpeg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 02:53, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Sialkotconference.jpg and File:MrsRoosevelt.jpg[edit]

Hello Haroon.tauqir, I have a concern I hope you would be able to remedy. It looks like you have released both File:Sialkotconference.jpg and File:MrsRoosevelt.jpg into the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0; however, in the summary you have a copyright symbol and what looks like your name and the dates 1976 - 2076. This makes it appear you have established that these are now copyrighted and no longer under the conditions available under either the GNU Free Documentation License or ShareAlike 3.0 license. Please either remove the free use tags and provide a rational for use or change the Copyright 1976 - 2076 to something that states these are your family images, as stated above, so that we can have them moved to WP:commons, so that all our sister encyclopedias may be able to use these images in related articles. If you have any questions please feel free to ask either here or my talk page. Kindly Calmer Waters 21:21, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Calmer, I will remove my copyright. Thanks for the notice.
Thank you for both your quick action and for your uploading of these personal keepsakes for the benefit of all our readers. Kindly Calmer Waters 21:11, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
