Information icon Hello, I'm GiantSnowman. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Dermot Drummy, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hi there - feel free to respond here, I am monitoring this page, it will perhaps make it easier to keep all in one place. Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information - this is especially important for living people. Both online and offlines sources are permissible; so do you have a link to any websites, or details of books or newspaper reports etc. that would confirm Drummy as player-manager of Ware? If so please provide the information and I will be more than happy to 'convert' into an acceptable citation in order to update the article. GiantSnowman 21:38, 9 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately I can only repeat what I said before. That is, I only have my own and the club's records (the same thing in most cases) and a mountain of programmes somewhere in the attic. Doubtless the Hertfordshire Mercury for the period will carry match reports and articles confirming this but unfortunately I don't have the details of these. As an aside, is there anywhere that I can go to get more information on using Wikipedia? I do find it most frustrating never being able to do anything beyond basic typing without searching for other entries to see how they have constructed something (e.g. the imaging to show my own club's colours on our wiki page) if I want to do it myself. A match programme would suffice, perhaps something towards the end of his career there that confirmed he had been there since 1995 and was player-manager?
As for assistance on using Wikipedia, please try Help:Contents, it should give you basic advice such as how we operate, as well as more technical aspects such as basic coding. I am also more than happy to help so feel free to ask - and should you wish to become a more regular contributor you may wish to join WP:FOOTBALL of which I am also a member. Thanks. Is that just the date/match details of the programme or do I need to provide a link to a pdf of the actual programme? I think the latter is beyond me in all honesty. Hacman100 (talk) 22:35, 9 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Date and title (if applicable) of the programme, as well as page number, would be great. GiantSnowman 08:23, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have been able to lay my hands on the programme for the match Ware vs Hungerford Town of 4th November 1995 (our last league game at our previous ground). No page numbering but a reference to Dermot in the editorial as one of our goal scorers the previous Saturday, his name then appears in the players line up on the centre pages and he is also shown in the fixtures and results section as a goal scorer on 16th September and 28th October. I hope that's enough. You were going to reinstate my amendments if so. Meanwhile I have our secretary of the time looking up Dermot's appearance record which I will add when available.
