October 2014[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Escort agency. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Erotic massage. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Sex industry. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Please stop spamming links to a blog. These are not appropriate references. NeilN talk to me 15:38, 4 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notice[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Editor adding refspam. Thank you. NeilN talk to me 15:51, 4 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

October 2014[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Chillum 16:14, 4 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I have replied to everyone's messages and I have said about 6 times now. I have seen the messages and stopped trying to fix citations but I sent about 5 or 6 ones. This is my first time using Wikipedia and I said I dont know how to get the ones I sent stopped. I have tried talking to the admins every time about this because I did not want to get blocked. But no one is helping me or reading my messages...

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Decline reason:

I have looked at each and everyone of your edits. You haven't replied to everyone's messages about 6 times. Also, you were spamming your blog, not fixing citations. Nor have you tried talking to admins about this. When you say that no-one is reading your messages, you aren't making any sense as you haven't left anyone messages. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You continued adding the spam even after 3 warnings, one of which warned you would be blocked if you continued. You made a flimsy excuse about a teacher asking you to do this when it is obvious you are advertising a sex blog on sex related articles. The blog is merely a collection of snippets taken from Wikipedia and thus cannot be a source.

Every one of your edits is the addition of the same blog, that is not providing sources that is spamming. You are making a blog out of Wikipedia content and then trying to advertise it on Wikipedia. You have made zero edits that improve the encyclopedia, rather you are trying to use it for personal gain. The quality of your story seems to indicate you think we are stupid.

Please note that if you persist in spamming your blog it will end up on our blacklist. Sites on our blacklist cannot be posted to Wikipedia. In addition it is a public blacklist that many search engines and forums use, if you end up on the blacklist then your search engine rankings will suffer and many forums will prohibit your link. You are not the first spammer we have had to deal with and we know how to respond. Chillum 16:28, 4 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No my intention is not like that. This is my first time using wikipedia and I not see your messages at first because if you have a page scrolled down you can not see a tiny button at the top right hand of the page saying a number which I did not realize was a message at first. When I read the messages I tried to reply to the people. You can check your system to see the time when I sent the correction citations and when the admins send me the message. I have not tried to update a citation after reading the admin messages. I believe you guys are not very helpful to first time users who have little knowledge of using a wiki site. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Graemekahn (talkcontribs) 16:35, 4 October 2014‎

There were no 'correction citations', only spamming your blog. PhilKnight (talk) 17:12, 4 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
