Welcome to the Wikipedia Education Program![edit]

Hi, Giribarne!

On behalf of the Wikipedia Education Program, I wanted to thank you for taking the orientation. It's really helpful for us to know that you think the training could use more details about wiki markup, so we can make it more useful for other students like you. I hope you'll feel free to refer back to the orientation while you're making your first edits, and please don't hesitate to reach out to your Ambassador for any help or advice. Welcome to Wikipedia, and I hope you enjoy your unique assignment! JMathewson (WMF) (talk) 05:43, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Education Assignment[edit]

Hi, Giribarne!

Since we are both working on the same article, would you like to exchange information so we are not overlapping in what we are working on? It would be detrimental for both of us to be constantly editing and re-writing sections we are both working on. My assignment is to add around 2,000 words to the article and "clean it up." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smhenry87 (talkcontribs) 13:28, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Smhenry87, that is what I was hoping for. I originally had the same idea as you (re-do article) but our group decided to pick one section from the existing article to add or revise. Our assignment simply states to address the Wikipedia flags, add references, and to improve 2-3 sections of the article. As I mentioned in the talk page of the article, my group has begun editing the bulleted sections (behavior and accident research, counseling from the areas section) and we are planning out a section for psychological processes involved in driving. We are doing so based on the major areas of this field, namely behaviors of drivers and the processes involved. Let me know what you think, our tentative (and ongoing) versions of the material we would input are in my sandbox User:Giribarne/sandbox/assignment

Help us improve the Wikipedia Education Program[edit]

Hi Giribarne! As a student editor on Wikipedia, you have a lot of valuable experience about what it's like to edit as a part of a classroom assignment. In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it's extremely helpful to hear from real student editors about their challenges, successes, and support needs. Please take a few minutes to answer these questions by clicking below. (Note that the responses are posted to a public wiki page.) Thanks!
